I'm a bit of a critic and this place is great. It's not a chain! Like a true italian eatery, yes it is cramp and yes it is AWESOME. You can't get veggie lasagna with crispy veggies in Nashville, except here. All pasta is D-lish and I've tried almost all of it! I like the spicy shrimp, the lobster ravioli...forget about it! This place is one of the best italian joints in middle TN, so please try it and love it. It's about the food people!

My husband and I stopped in here for dinner and we were very pleased with our decision. I had the fried artichokes for an appetizer, which weren't too bitter/sour. The rolls come out hot and smothered in garlic butter. The table salad

My family has been dining at Molinari's for years now. We started frequenting the establishment when it was in Nippers Corner. Then it moved to Franklin, and now it's in the Cool Springs area.\r

Small? Sure. It's not uncomfortable,

My husband and I first went to Molinari's at the location in Nippers Corner in Brentwood/Nashville. LOVED IT THERE! Then, we went when they first opened their first location in Franklin, in The Maples shopping center, since we had moved to

i agree with the other it is a bit cramped and the people aren't always super friendly. however it really gives a romantic feel with the quaint and small size, which is after all bc it's family owned, making it a great date place. i wouldn't go to any other chain italian restaurant over this place. it isn't exactly cheap but it's worth the price. They also give free salad and bread which is to die for.

Pros: food way better than any chain in the area

Cons: yeah service and size

This restaurant could benefit by investing in less bulky furniture. The chairs and tables are so close together that your chair backs up to the next table. We felt trapped when we were ready to leave, and I noticed the waitress was having a hard time maneuvering around and bumped into people. The hostess took two of our chairs from our table without asking and towered them over another diner's head. Odd.
The food was so so. I ordered the Milano, which is described as a sampler. When it arrived, the dish was covered in a cheese sauce. I felt like I was eating hamburger soup. Plus, it wasn't piping hot.
The service was quick and the waitress was attentive. The salad was good and the garlic rolls have potential. However, the price is expensive, in comparison to the atmosphere and quality of food, and service that you will find at Amerigos.

Honestly, as a server I can't fault the staff too much. I went with a party of 8 on the night before Valentines Day - a Friday. Of course the place was packed and the staff was overwhelmed. We hardly got any attention from our server, but it was obvious that she was working very hard an was not used to such a crowd. The food on the other hand, well that was just amazing. It was amazing the next day as leftovers too, although how it lasted that long after my husband saw it is a miracle!
Overall, go on a slower night and things should be great!
(and if you drink a lot, get two glasses at a time. Their cups are tiny!)

After reading the 3 good reviews, I looked forward to a good local Italian eatery. Boy ~ was I disappointed!! Agreeing to meet some friends there recently, we were "greeted" by a woman who didn't say a word and scowled at us when we spotted our friends. That set the tone... We were seated at a cozy table near a booth in the front, which was fine until some diners were brought to the booth. My husband had to get out of his seat for them to get into the booth. You can only imagine what it was like when they needed to place their order let alone get their food. The garlic rolls were overrated. I didn't care for my dish. All this was top off when the waitress dropped a tomato slice from a salad plate on my coat, down my back and onto my seat.

I won't bother coming back. Now if I could fine a good Italian trattoria...

Cons: Need a new hostess for a Saturday night; spread out the seating arrangement a bit; no phone service to make reservations, which is recommended

Being from big cities I ordinarily wouldn't rate a restaurant this high but when you're the best around, Molinari's deserves it. A quaint little place with a cozy, adequate atmosphere. The money, not being in the bricks, is in the food. What a wonderful fare. Better come with an appetite and a strong yen for garlic. You won't be disappointed.

Pros: Plenty of convenient parking, friendly staff and clientel.

Cons: Closed on Sunday, cannot accommodate large parties. No expresso.

As strip mall restaurants go, one comes to not expect much...well not so w/ Molinari's...what a great find...fast friendly service, and their pasta is out of this world. One word of caution...GARLIC...you better like it (which I do!)...dinner is preceded by a simple salad with a fabulous red wine vinegar house dressing and these amazing rolls swimming in a heavy garlic butter sauce...only problem is, once dinner is served there is no room...portion sizes are huge...better plan on a doggie bag (but my guess is that the doggie won't get any!)

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place one Saturday night. It is absolutely delightful! It is a small restaurant, but it doesn't seem stuffy at all. It's wonderfully cozy. The waitstaff was wonderful with making suggestions and keeping us smiling. They bring wonderful garlic rolls to begin. They are amazing! I had spaghetti and it tasted amazing. We followed our meal with a dessert each. My boyfriend had the red velvet cake which he really loved. I had the tiramisu. The best tiramisu I have ever had was in NYC, and this was as good as that was. I ate every bite. I would highly recommend this place. We tried to go back Saturday, but there seemed to be a long wait. I guess others have discovered this lovely gem.

Pros: food, service

Cons: It would probably be difficult for seating of a large group over 8 people. They did have a table set up for 8, but it seems that it would be difficult for more than that.
