Their salad dressing is like crack. I can't stop thinking about it. If I couldn't stop salavating over how much I like their salad dressing I'd forget how good the rest of the food is. The sushi is good and no complaints there.\r

I called Saturday afternoon to make a reservation for 6 at 7:00pm that night. We arrived at 6:55 and were not seated utnil an hour after. The hostess was visibly shaken by all of the unhappy 7:00 reservations that had also not been seated. I was a bit frustrated to see walkins seated before us as were the other reservations. The excuse given was they had been waiting for 40 minutes. Seriously?

What is the point of a reservation if you have to wait an hour when you get there. I'm reasonable. I could understand 10, 15, or possibly even 20 extra minutes... but an hour - Come on?

As a consumer, I would suggest training your staff to not make reservations that you are unable to commit to. Also, be truthful about the wait time. As people would come in they were told there was a 30 minute wait time when it was really an hour at least. Also, as we were waiting, 5 pick up orders came in and were turned away. To be succesful in this community, you need happy customers - many who dined between 6:30 and 9:00 on 1/23 were not happy. Because of this, I'm rating Kyoto's with a 2. I will try to dine there again and hope a more pleasent experience in the future.

Once seated the food was great and the chef hospitable. Much more put together than the waiting experience.
