A great place to visit! Appears to be a trendy boutique, more than a store nestled in the mountains of TN. I loved seeing all the signed guitars in this store and all the designer clothes were fabulous!

This is an old Southern traditional hotel in Memphis! The rumor is true the ducks do come out daily and greet the guests. The rooms are small but their is nice shopping within the hotel.

This was a great vacation spot for the family. The kids loved the ducks, the skyway, and the duck house on top of the hotel. This was a great historic hotel. Since this is a historic hotel the rooms and bathrooms were a little smaller than you might get at newer hotels. It was a great experience nonetheless. Lots of dining choices within the hotel. The history ot the hotel is facinating. It's location close to Beale Street made it easy for my husband to slip away at night and enjoy the nighlife.

Great selection of trendy designer jeans & tops for women & men. Once you visit the ducks at the Peabody, you can shop in this exclusive boutique, & feel like your not in Memphis TN.

Excellent service, and the best eating in Memphis.
Also, there are some speciality shops, such as Lansky Brothers. Bernard Lansky the owner, and clothier to Elvis, and many other celebrities.

On my last business trip in 2007 it took me to Memphis. I stayed here due to it being recommended. It was nice, very nice. But they had something that leaves you talking about for years ... they have ducks walking around every where! Yes, ducks. LOL

A friend and I recently stopped into The Peabody Deli and Desserts after a meeting at The Peabody Hotel. The decor was so sophisticated but in a relaxing kind of way that we decided to stay a while. They had a wonderful array of desserts, but I decided to try the homeade ice cream. I have to say, it was the best ice cream I have ever had. If I ever get back over to The Peabody any time soon, I will certainly stop in for some more ice cream!

It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at goo.gl/FPxYD They have some of the best hotel deals on the web!
I was apalled when I received my bill from the Peabody Hotel. I was not informed of the additional charges i.e. hotel services fee $11.95 and slef parking $18.00 per night. I would have valet parked for $24.00 if I had been informed of these triple charges. My heater did not work and i stayed in February. I had to wait 45 minutes for someone to come and repair it after I called twice. I will never stay at a Peabody Hotel again; I did not get my money's worth.
It seems the Peabody is caught up in their own reputation and mystique. A two night stay of expected rest, was anything but restful. Our first room was very small and quite dusty. The shower wouldn't drain. We waited an hour for maintenance to clear it with a line, and were left with a dirty tub. We were not aware there was a Fraternity Convention of 700 members staying at the hotel either. This meant loud obnoxious fools running, yelling, slamming doors at all hours of the night. This is an OLD building, not soundproof by any means. Awake at 4am because of all the noise. Our complaint to management was met with indifference (she said...:"and?"m like it's not her problem. After expressing how this hotel doesn't belong in the 'Preferred Resorts' guide and how others in that guide are far nicer, we were upgraded to the concierge level and comped a night. Concierge level, 12th floor. Nice to have snacks and beverages on hand all day. The first concierge, Justin, was not friendly, arrogant and never offered us ANYTHING in the way of service. Not even a local map, like the stack on his desk I saw later. The room on the 12th was much nicer, cleaner and larger. The beds are fantastic. More noise...2am on Saturday, some clown (Fraternity brother?) KICKING THE INSIDE OF THE STAIRWELL DOOR because he obviously didn't have access to that floor. What a joke. Be prepared to pay: Self Parking $16 A DAY (valet is $22), Internet Access: $9.95, none of this is spelled out on peabodymemphis website. Bring your own aircard for wireless. We have had much nicer stays at Hampton Inn's and Residence Inn. Next time in Memphis, we will avoid the Peabody at all costs. We thought staying at the nicest place in town was the way to go. I've no learned to always ask ahead when making reservations if there is any 'special event' or group at the hotel. Might have saved myself a ton of money and got some sleep....
Pros: Comfy bed. Location.
Cons: Service. Noise. Price (as it relates to service). 'Extra charges'
The Peabody hotel definitely has the nicest accomodations I've stayed at while traveling. From the moment you walk in, you feel an excitement in the air. Every detail exudes luxury, from the fresh flowers in every arrangement in the lobby to the thread count of the bedding. The guest rooms are large yet still feel very intimate. Warm colors and clean lines are a beautiful balance. The bathroom was impeccable with plenty of towels and a stunnign marble sink. If you stay on a Saturday night, as I did, you must have the Skyway brunch. It is incredible! Any imaginable delicacy is prepared with great care to taste and detail. Many of the items are single serving size with lots of design put into the presentation. The sights, sounds, and smells that fill this hotel will remain in your memory long after you've checked out. There is only one minor complaint I could relay about the Peabody and it is the parking. If you valet, there is a $30 charge (which seemed a little high considering you are dropping at least a few hundred just to stay at the hotel) and the self parking is still $16 plus a long trek to the main lobby.
Pros: Comfortable beds. Close to ballpark and Beale Street. Skyway Brunch.
Cons: Parking
The Peabody is the premier hotel in Memphis! There is no where else that I would consider staying while visiting Memphis. The restaurants are very good and the location is superb.
This hotel is the premium hotel of Memphis. It's amazing views, amenties, and convience of the new added Peabody Place make it the jewel of the city's downtown. If you have a little extra to splurge on your stay its worth and if not at least go a visit it while your in town.
Pros: Close to lots of ente
Everything you would expect but you'll still pay a premium to rest here. Large rooms and decent views.
Pros: large rooms, convenient to all, beautiful ball rooms
Cons: elevators small, elevators slow, Brunch is unorganized
Really - DUCKS. The Peabody Ducks live on the roof of the penthouse, and every morning they go into the elevator waddle through the lobby into the water fountain and swim all day. At 5:00pm, they annouce that the Ducks are going to sleep, they all exit the fountain and go back into the elevator to go to back to their penthouse! It is a sight to be seen, but get there early on weekends because everyone comes to see them.
