I have always had a wonderful experience at Tony's. We went Thursday evening after work and had to wait over an hour. We had called ahead however, they wouldn't take reservations. Then when we finally received our food, it was terrible.

We tried to eat at Tony's a year ago when visiting Chattanooga. It was too long a wait. So, when we visited again we planned to eat there on this visit. After waiting in what I guess is the bar area. No stools, chairs, etc... ordered wine. No wine glass. Only small juice glass. No liquor, only wine and beer. We thought the food must be great to wait since the atmosphere was horrible. When we ate, server was rude. The portions were so small and tasteless. There were 5 of us in our group and all agreed this was the worst restaurant we've ever been to. We can only think they must have some great advertising going to have people stand in line for this place. Don't waste your time or money here. I'd even go to Olive Garden for more atmosphere and lots better taste. This entire restaurant was one large mistake.

Pros: None!

Cons: Food, Service and Atmosphere

.

The atmosphere, the aromas, the wine, and of course the food. Even when there is a lengthy wait (45 to an hour) we always have a great experience at Tonys. I recommend this restaurant to all of my clients that visit Chattanooga and they love it. This is our families little piece of heaven. I have several Faves on the menu. Its all great!!! And the Garlic loaves take the cake.

Pros: Best Italian in East Tennessee

My husband and I spent the day in Chattanooga at the Hunter Museum and didn't really want to drive far to eat. We found Tony's and had a late lunch or early dinner. The lunch and dinner prices are the same which is nice, but the lunch menu has more Panninis sandwiches. My husband got the Low Country Linguine and I got the Rosemary chicken Ravioli in pesto Alfredo sauce baked with Mozzarella Cheese on top. It was great! The ravioli were the size of a small child's palm. It was so much we both took doggie bags home and swapped for a late snack/dinner. The bread had baked in roasted garlic with a Parmesan cheese oil for dipping. Forget Olive Garden, this place it better!!! We are going back this weekend!

Pros: Great Food, located in Art District and next to Rembrandt's coffee shop.

Cons: Parking is a headache and sometimes have to walk just a little bit.

Tony's is amazing because it's equally great for a romantic dinner or a lunch or night out with the family. Their food is awesome - the lasagna is cheesy, perfectly sauced, generous, and fantastic!!! - and the atmosphere is great as well? upscale enough to feel special and quality, but not so much that it's stuffy at all. Totally relaxing. Their porch makes the experience even better. The kids' menu is good - standard stuff like pizza with fries is actually done really well and tastes great. And the bread and olive oil dip with grated parmesan sets the meal up perfectly. LOVE IT!!!

Chattanoog is sadly lacking in good Italian resaurants, but Tony's is the exception. It is a favorite lunch place, now that the outdoor seating has been enclosed. The fresh pasta is great. Black pepper linguini with sun dried tomato and artichoke sauce is highly recommended. Good Italian bread with garlic cloves.

Absolutely wonderful food with a breathtaking view of the Tennessee River.

The service was fine, my server was very friendly. The selection was more than adequate. Great first date place. Prices are good too!

I love great Italian food. And this was that and so much more: wonderful service, great selections, peaceful and romantic atmosphere, perhaps the best waitstaff ever. You can even make your own meal with a wonderful selection of sauces and pastas. Great for all diners: vegetarians, meat lovers, kids, or couples on a date. Desserts on the menu come from Rembrandt's across the driveway. Don't miss the cheesecake of the month!

This is a great place if you want to eat fresh pasta. With an all Italian Wine List and the ambience of a rustic Italian eatery this is the best Italian Restaurant I've ever been to.
