The worst! They kept my car for two years! I got lie after lie as to why my car was not ready. It was damaged and broken into while it was on their lot. Then, when I finally got it back, it ran (badly)for two weeks at which point the item they "fixed" broke again. I would sooner walk on broken glass then ever work with them!

My LexusES300 suddenly won't start one morning. Looked and found this shop thru the internet. Called and talked to Emil. Emil called me back. He said he'll fix the problem (clean the idle valve) and suggested to change the timing belt because it was time (nearing 90K miles) all for $1500. I said I cant afford the timing belt yet. My oil pan's thread got stripped (by me). So my final charge was $600...cleaned the idle valve, fixed the lose thread or he said replaced the pan with after market and supposedly fixed my brakes (but my brakes still shake when I brake from 60 mph or higher). I don't know if I was charged too much. People say I was. Also, when you bring a car in for one particular problem and they start probing around for other things to fix...it starts to make me worry. I don't know. I don't even want to bring my car back to have the shaking looked at because they may start finding other things to "work" on.

After taking my BMW to the dealership on Armoury Dr. I decided to get a second opinion and I am sure glad I did!! Not only did BMW want double for repairs needed but they misdiagnosed...saying I needed new bushings. Emil told me my tires were dangerously worn and that was what was causing my car to shake...not the bushings. He did necessary repairs at a fair price and my car is like new again!!! Thanks Emil!!!!
Pros: correct diagnosis...good work
Cons: none

After having several problems with my used BMW; I decided to give Auto Tech a try. I read the reviews and wanted to see for myself. I got there at 8:00am and they were already busy working on a bunch of cars that I don?t even see often (Alfa Romeo, Maserati). The Gentleman, which I later found out, is the owner of the shop, greeted me and talked to me about my car. I told him all the problems I was having and he said that he will scan the car at 3pm and call me around 5pm with the diagnosis. I thought because they are so busy it will take a long time to service the car; but boy was I wrong. I could not believe it; he called on time; told me all the issues and promised to have EVERYTHING fixed within the next two days. Sure enough, I got called after two days and my car was ready for pick up. Emil, the owner of Auto Tech explained to me that the car was NOT maintained well in the past which caused all these problems. Auto Tech changed the water pump; the heat control valve; the oil level sensor, the steering wheel hose and test pressured it twice. They even checked the Whole car to see if anything is broke. Emil then handed me the keys, rode along with me to test out the car. I could TRULY feel the difference in my car?s performance and all the problems were fixed. I even got the car back with the rims washed, the car vacuumed and the dashboard and steering wheel shining! Do yourself a favor; make your life EASIER and make your wallet HAPPIER and take your car to Auto Tech. I don?t even normally write reviews but I really thought I should after having this wonderful experience! You can tell that everybody from the secretary, the owner and the mechanics enjoyed working there.
Pros: Honest and Qualified Mechanics, Competitive Pricing, Keeps Customer Informed
Cons: None

Took a $1200 dealer quoted standard exhaust repair and fixed the issue for less than $200 with a common-sense solution which the dealer was not willing to consider. This is my only experience with Emil and his team, but definitely not my last!
Pros: Willingness to offer customer the lowest cost solution
Cons: None

I have owned several cars over the years, both simple and complicated ones. AutoTech is still the only place that is allowed to touch them. Honest, knowledgeable, friendly, reasonably priced. I can call and have parts ordered beforehand to minimize my wait....Emil is happy to do it. I am almost sad that my car won't need anything for another 15k miles because it's actually fun to go here!
Pros: Who else knows VW's like these guys???
Cons: not a one

I would recommend Autotech to anyone who is tired of getting the run-around with common mechanics. I took my Land Rover to Emil to get the headgaskets worked on as well as a full 100k mile tuneup, thinking that it would take atleast a week and cost a fortune. To my amazement, Emil peformed the work in two days and it cost me only a fraction of what it would have at any other mechanic. When I got home, I raised the hood and was so impressed with the detail and cleanliness that they had shown on my motor. I took my car one other time to Emil to get the window fixed thinking that it would need a whole new motor in the window. Once he looked at it, he repaired the issue with just a simple weld job, and it cost me very little. I have been very impressed with their honesty and the feeling that you are their most important customer while your car is there. I would definitely recommend Autotech!
Pros: Timeliness and honesty
Cons: Limited parking

After I let some idiot try and fix my car I found all these positive reviews about Autotech. I took my 97 BMW there w/ a blown engine and had it back within a week. Emil called me with updates throughout the repair, and has been amazing to work with. Next I brought him my WRX for a simple break job and was given the same treatment. I will never let anyone else touch my cars. If you?re looking for an honest repair shop that knows what they?re doing, there aren?t any other options in Nashville.
Pros: Immaculate shop and incredible staff

I found out about Autotech through the reviews on this site. I will admit that it was exactly
as everyone said. I was a little concerned at first because the parking area was so full, I
thought that there was no way they would be able to get to my truck. Boy was I wrong. I
brought my truck in on Monday after 1pm, was told immediately what the problem was once
I showed Emil. I was told I would have it back by 2 the next afternoon (which I doubted) but
11 am on Tuesday morning, they called and told me it was ready. The price was what was
originally quoted, and the work looked like it had been done right. I have definitely found my
new mechanic. Thanks AutoTech.

Pros: Cleanliness, timeliness

Emil and his staff go out of their way to show you/tell you what is going on with your car. I have never had any car problems until now and defiinitely appreciate Autotech. Highly Recommonded

I called Auto Tech after taking my car to a nearby Firestone, where they said, among many other things, I needed the CV joint replaced and my problem would be fixed. From the first conversation with the people at Auto Tech I recieved direct accomodation as well as prompt service. They said to bring the car in ASAP and it would be diagnosed within an hour. Upon diagnosis, it turns out it was a broken wheel bearing and the wheel was about to fall off of the car. (Nice to know, right?!) He had it fixed and ready to be driven within a couple of hours. I highly recommend! Thanks, guys!!

Pros: Fast , direct, honest, and cost effective
Cons: none

I took my 1995 Lexus SC 400 into Autotech because, like you, I was reading all the good reviews and I thought it may need a tune-up. Well, it turned out it needed a "MAJOR tune-up" as Emil described it. At 130k miles, it was needing a new timing belt, water pimp, etc. I'm very satisfied with the work that was done.

This is a great repair shop -- it's the only place I've been in Nashville that always fixes the problem completely (which should be basic), and the only place I've *ever* been where the head mechanic/owner insists you test drive the car after the repairs (and he usually rides along).
Pros: Real car guys who actually fix the cars. (A whole new concept in repair shops!)
Cons: Cruise control repair took a while, but all other repairs have been quick.

After moving back to Nashville, I knew that I needed to find "the mechanic." Our family has a Mercedes and a Toyota that need to be serviced regularly so that we can attempt to get the most out of our depreciating assets. Emil and his staff are top notch. I won't waste your time with my horror stories of other repair shops. I will tell you that every time we have visited Autotech we have had ALL issues resolved with both cars. Emil takes his very valuable time to explain the work, recommend the best solution, and provide you and your family with a comfort level that you would think you were driving it out of the showroom (again). I no longer hesitate before scheduling a long road trip. I know that we can travel around town with our small child and never worry if we are going to be stranded. The prices are more than fair and I always leave his shop thinking that I got way more than the billed amount. I believe Autotech will service any make of car and is not strictly import only. However, if you do own an import especially an exotic, then look no further.
If there is ever a higher rating than 5 stars, I will be updating this recommendation.
Pros: Being told the truth. Believing what you hear. Knowing that you made a good decision.
Cons: Not getting to see them as often.

The starter had gone bad in my Toyota truck and I took it to Polly's on Belmont.... it was a mistake, they quoted me an insane price to replace it. I picked up my truck and the mechanic there said "she'll be back", what a j*rk! I started searching for a new mechanic and found Autotech on citysearch. The glowing reviews are all true. Emil is a really good guy and keeps an amazing shop. He put in the starter for $125 less than what Polly's quoted and when I asked if I needed a tune up he and one of his mechanics gave my car a little check up for free and told me I could bring back the car as soon as I was ready for regular maintenance. Plus, his garage is the cleanest and coolest garage I've ever seen, the floors are painted white!! It is so good to have a trustworthy and good mechanic. These guys are the best, hands down. I would stay away from Greg's on Main too - charged me $160 for a tow and told me there was nothing wrong with my car before I found out it was the starter. Places like Autotech and guys like Emil make you feel like there are still good people in the world.
Pros: Honest, clean, fair, trustworthy & sticks to a quote.
Cons: none.

I drive a Land Rover, and if you know Land Rover's you know no one will touch them except the dealer, and I have never let anyone touch it but the dealer for warranty purposes (which mean nothing if they are never wrong, it is just something different wrong this time though symptoms are the same). Well after my latest $1000+ repair, I took my truck to Emir who was highly recommended by a trusted friend. It was not a serious problem, but the treatment that I received and attention that I was given you would have thought it was a big dollar repair. Emir and team are extremely knowledgeable and beyond fair and honest. Due to being a little gunshy I even questioned him on the repair, he did not get offended, he apologized to me and showed me what they replaced on my car and, in fact I ENDED UP EMBARRASSED BY MY ACTIONS!! How does that happen :-)???!!! At an AUTO REPAIR SHOP!!?? He is honest, above board, knows about ALL imports, and took wonderful care of us. He even told us a very funny story. We are definitely repeat business and will be taking our other vehicle there as well! Nothing can compare to the feeling of having a mechanic that you can trust. All cars break down!
Pros: Wonderful Service, Professional, Friendly, Experts!!
Cons: They have coffee, no tea

Emil successfully diagnosed and fixed a problem coolant leak. His rates are reasonable and his confidence extraordinary. His lifts are filled with high quality rides and his lot full of customers cars awaiting a professional servicing. The shop is spotless. In my case, a head gasket took just a couple days to repair. Take your luxury ride there with confidence. He has the answer at a fair price.
Pros: great shop and mechanics, fair pricing
Cons: none

Emil and his crew are the nicest, most upfront, helpful people you will ever deal with when your car is sick. My Z3 completely died. I was a basket case... I had to have a new transmission, computer and a bunch of rehabilitative work done and this crew handled it famously. Emil reassured me that everything was going to be fine, and it IS, and better than ever!! He's an import master surgeon!!! Auto Tech explains everything, shows you faulty automotive items, takes you for a tour of their GREAT facility... and give you GREAT service for a EXTREMELY FAIR price. My Z3 now rides better than the day I got it. EMIL IS MY NEW BEST FRIEND. I love all the folks at AUTO- TECH. A+++++++++ They almost make you wish your car would have trouble just to go in for a visit!! EMIL ROCKS!!!!!!!!

Just so you know Auto Tech has moved locations, they are now on 222 Fesslers Lane, in Nashville, which is even easier to find the previous place . I must say the people that run and manage this place are top notch. They are quite friendly people, and the new location is a great upgrade to the past shop. this place is HUGE! well kept, and run nicely.
I have been a customer for years, and would never take my car to any other place. Emil is what a real mechanic should be. Him and his family work extremley hard to run this place, and he should be proud of his accomplishments. They do excellant work on hard to repair auto's and charge fair rates. Plus it is a joy to go there(most of the time)ha.
Pros: emil, nice location, nice shop
Cons: busy

I purchased a rare VW Eurovan years ago and it was riddled with problems. I would have gotten rid of my beloved vehicle if I hadn't stumbled across Autotech. The price he quoted me was less than half what the dealership wanted, and they weren't even 100% correct about what was wrong. Emil and his staff are friendly and veritable encyclopedias of car knowledge. He will never talk you into a repair that isn't necessary, and they are above all honest. With so many slipshod, overpriced repair shops around it's refreshing to know that Autotech is there.
Their new location allows work do be done faster, and it's easier to access! Congrats!
Pros: knowledgeable, reasonably priced, honest

I have a great BMW 740il that started to have some serious problems. namely stalling!!
I took it to another recommended place for some suspension repairs and they were never able to fix the stalling problem.
After reading reviews of Autotech I call Emil and knew right then and there that this was the place. they fixed the BMW for a very fair price and it drove out of there like a scaled dog.. the reason I bought the car. Thanks Emil. I will definetly send more business to you.
Pros: knowledgeable, easy going attitude

I have a 98 BMW 540 6-speed. Emil and his guys at Autotech have done a great job of diagnosing and fixing problems. Rates are very fair and the work is done right. Highly recommend

I have a 1996 BMW 540I that went to the BMW Of Nashville dealership for a check engine light problem. After diagnosing car, they said i needed numerous parts for $2900.00 .i then drove the car for about 30 miles and the check engine light came back on, i then took it back to BMW and they wanted more $ to fix another probllem. I refused
I then found Auto Tech. They then replaced my water pump. The check engine light has not come on since.I will continue to use Auto Tech in the future, and recomend them to my friends as well. I am very pleased with my serivce there . I DONT recommend BMW of Nashville, but HIGHLY recomend Auto Tech...
Emil and staff are very helpful ,friendly, and honest. I feel there shop is knowlegable and they are a high quality repair shop. My opinion the best in Nashville......
Pros: Inexpensive, Quality work, friendly staff

I have lived in Nashville for almost three years and have been searching for a mechanic that I can trust. From the moment I first spoke to Emil, I knew I had finally found the place. Emil and his staff are patient, honest, trustworthy and accommodating. He helped me through an extremely irritating ordeal with my car dealership and gave me sound advice. With his help I was not taken advantage of and was able to have him fix the problem for a much more reasonable price than the dealership. I HIGHLY recommend Autotech!
Pros: Honest, Reliable, Great Prices

I have a Volvo 850 R and for the moment I drove in Emil new this car inside and out. It tough to find a honest and good mechanic, I found one, their work is flawless.
