It really is....avoid all the fees and even make money just for having something in your savings at the end of each quarter. It's really the type of place that gives credit unions their claim to fame :)
There are plenty of ATM's in the area that are free of charge and can be used to make deposits as well. The best part is EVERY location has super friendly tellers who actually seem to enjoy their job and not like they're "stuck" at it for so many hours a day.
Oh, and they have late hours at several of the banks also....even open on Sundays! This particular location is brand new and I always see police patrolling the area, so I feel secure whenever I go there.
