So I'm a fan of Mediterranean food, and the food here was pretty good. I'd have to agree with the other reviewer here and say that a tapas bar is better. Technically, Momos is a 'tapas' but each dish costs as much as an entree, so better to just get an entree. The scene is chic, though, and its a good place to meet friends and hang out in the comfy chairs.

It was really good, but I think I prefer traditional Greek vs tapas style. That being said the food was very well done. Different place and with ambiance & belly dancing.

I make it a point to eat at Momo's several times a year, and it is a magical place.

The atmosphere is wonderful, and the food is absolutely fantastic. My family and I have been attempting to try everything on the menu at least once, and we haven't found a dish yet (and there are a LOT of them) that wasn't cooked to perfection and wonderfully presented. Everything at Momo's is good.

In the perhaps 15 or 20 trips to Momo's I have only ever had ONE waiter who wasn't on the ball, and he was brand-new and very apologetic.

The bathrooms have always been spotless and the service has always been first-rate.

Momo's is one of those places that is so special - you make it a point to take your very BEST friends, and your very BEST dates.

I have no idea who these "Restaraunt of the Month" people are, but I suspect that perhaps they were particularly obnoxious or pretentious customers and perhaps went in looking for problems. Much of what they say was apocryphal "someone had been there once before and..." and I notice they didn't ever speak to the quality of the food and the service on the evening they were actually there. Sounds to me like someone had an axe to grind.

Don't let someone elses pretentious review keep you from one of the coolest and most purely enjoyable dining experiences you're going ot have in St. Louis.

The food is incredible, the service is first-rate, and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is very unique and the entire experience is wonderful.

You have to really be trying to be in a bad mood when you're in a place as cool as Momo's.

Pros: Great Food. Good Service. Awesome Atmosphere.

Cons: It's very intimate. Only idiots show up in huge crowds here.

I organize a restaurant of the month club; we have now been to 24 restaurants in the St. Louis area. When I made reservations for 15 people at Momos, they asked me for a $100 deposit to hold the reservation. This is the only restaurant the club has been to that has made us do this. I asked if I would get the deposit back and was told that I would or I could apply it to the bill. After dinner I asked the waitress to give me the $100 refund on my debit card. She told me their policy was not to give refunds but to give you a $100 gift certificate that could be applied toward the bill or used another time. The person who took the reservation never told me this. I explained that the the waitress, who talked to the manager, and they still refused to refund my $100. I asked to speak to the manager. He told me that if I didn't want to take the gift certificate that he couldn't do the refund. He said that only one manager was authorized to do the refund and that she wouldn't be in until the next day. I don't believe this is true because what would they do if they accidentally mischarged someone? They have to have a way to give someone a refund. However, he would not give me the refund and told me that I would have to leave with no receipt and wait until the next day. At this point I did not trust them, so I had them apply the $100 toward the bill, and the other people in the group gave their cash to me to cover it. Another girl in the group had been at Momos before and the bathrooms had been disgustingly dirty. When she called the manager the next day to tell him, the manager argued with her and said that the bathrooms were always clean. I don't think that the people at Momos care much about providing good customer service or making their customers happy. This is a shame because the food is good, but I will never eat there again, nor will people in the club, and none of us will recommend Momos to anyone we know.
