.

I had been going to Women's Health Specialists for a few years. Overall, the care was pretty good. I mainly saw Deanna Neu, the nurse practitioner, who is very friendly and kind.

I became pregnant and, although this is not my first pregnancy and I confirmed it with multiple over the counter tests, they wanted me to come in for an appointment solely to "confirm the pregnancy." This was to be done before I could make a regular prenatal visit. We don't have maternity coverage, so I refused and was still allowed to come in for my prenatal visit, but I felt they were trying to just get extra money.

Flash forward to a few months later...I moved to Florida and needed to have my prenatal care records transferred. I informed the office months ahead of time that I would be moving in the midst of my pregnancy and asked if I needed to do anything because I did not want a delay in my prenatal care in Florida. I was assured that they would just fax my records no problem. Once I was in Florida, I sent records release forms, called reularly, and had to wait for them to send the records. Finally, I called and spoke to someone who informed me that I would have to pay a $30 fee to have them transferred. They said even if I picked them up myself I would have to pay the same amount for my own records for leaving their practice!

I am very glad to be leaving their care. Any place that values money above the care of patients is not for me and clearly shows they will not be focused on my unborn baby.
