Stay as far away from The Century Group, Inc. also known as t c g leasing as you can. The ring leader appears to be Matt Voyles. Second in command appears to be his wife or sister, Kathy Voyles, the Autumn Ridge Apartment Leasing Agent kathy@tcgleasing. The next perpetrator in line would seem to be Donna Looser, Leasing Agent for both the Yorktowne and Hickory House Apartments. Last but in no way least is the rip-off artist Jennifer Seago, Leasing Agent for Glen Arbor, Dover Place and Whitehall Apartments whitehall@tcgleasing. Jennifer Seago being the one, that my mother had the unfortunate and expensive misfortune of ever meeting.
On June 5, 2009 my elderly mother, 68 years of age, made the mistake of applying to rent an apartment from them at their Whitehall apartment complex. My mother either couldn??t (print to small) or didn??t read the extremely small fine print on the application, nor at any time did their agent, Jennifer Seago, point out, mention or discuss the forfeiture of any monies paid other than the application fee in the event that the applicant should change their mind about renting from them.
The fine print does clearly state that ??This application is not binding on landlord to lease apartment to applicant. This application must be submitted with $35.00 per applicant, non-refundable processing fee, and a $100.00 reservation earnest deposit. If application is approved and applicant(s) are accepted by the landlord, the $100.00 will be applied towards the security deposit. If your application cannot be approved, the $100.00 reservation earnest deposit will be refunded to you. Once the application is signed and submitted the total dollar amount submitted is forfeit if applicant(s) withdraw the application at any time. Signature(s) below verifies acceptance of this agreement and verification the applicant(s) understand and accept the conditions in this application.? Here is their link to this document.
At no time during their discussion did Jennifer Seago point out that only a $100.00 earnest deposit was ??required? as it is stated in ??their? contract, my mother wrote a deposit check for $400.00 and an additional check for the $35.00 application fee. Both checks were cashed before it was ever determined if my mother could in fact rent an apartment from this band of predators.
My mother found an apartment more suited to her needs and having 2 exits. The one that she was going to rent at Whitehall only had 1, isn??t that a building fire code violation? She notified Jennifer Seago that she had changed her mind on the following Monday. Jennifer Seago then informed my mother that ??they? would not be returning any of the deposit money she had paid and cited the fine print of the application. Additionally Jennifer Seago stated that Matt Voyles was the person responsible for making the decision to keep all of the money, not just the contractually required $35.00 and $100.00. This is predatory deceptive theft of $300.00 from a chronically ill elderly person who is living on a very fixed income.

I have lived here 3 years, I have seen many different dogs come and go... I think if EVERY dog including the little"harmless" ones were on leashes we wouldn't have these problems but don't point fingers just because of what they look like.. I have seen chihuahua's attack people and other dogs also and there are alot more of them around here then anything....

theo owner of the mentioned pit bull is not in denial of anything and never once told management it was a boxer, they told management they didn.t know what breed the dog is, she is from the stray rescue shelter of st. louis and was proven non vicious before being put up for adoption... there are just as many small dogs running around with no leash or supervision that will run right to you patio door and start barking at you.. you should worry about other dogs just as much if not more..

Century Group Management company after several compliants of attacks to renters beloved dogs by the same PIT BULL over several incidents has done NOTHING to resolve the issue. Please know majority of renters within this community are not against the breed, just the ones who attack our dogs. The actual owner of the dog is in deniel of how dangerous this dog is to the apartment community.
The owner of the dog refuses to even put a collar on the dog. Owner continues to allow the dog to run free at night without collar or leash. Owner professes to management dog is a boxer. Century Group is oblivious to breed genectic make-up.
In the event one might consider leaving before lease is over, due to PIT Bull running at night, Century Group is very strict about lease/money. What amount of money might they pay for dog mamed or killed by dangerous Pit Bull?
