Fletcher's is located in a "dead" mall. My wife and I were drawn to the restaurant by the wonderful smell of a wood-burning stove. We went there on a Wednesday evening, and we were the only customers in the place. We were greeted and seated immediately, and were impressed by the friendly service. The quality of the food and beverage, however, left much to be desired.

We started with beers and the black bean dip. The beer (a Maibock from the Boulevard Brewing Co.) was skunky and funky, and tasted stale, which leads me to believe that they either don't have enough keg turn-over, or their tap lines were dirty.

The bean dip was good, but the tortilla chips were stale, over-salted, and were fried in old, old grease, which gave them that nasty off-tasting rancidity.

My wife ordered pizza, while I ordered a cheeseburger - cooked medium - with coleslaw as the side. When the food came out, my burger was well-done, and judging by the congealed cheese and lukewarm temperature, had been sitting under a heat lamp for quite some time. The coleslaw was foul -- whomever the prep. cook was had included way, way too much pickle relish, which gave it an overbearing vinegary taste that ruined any sort of mouthfeel or taste. Disgusting - I could not eat more than a forkful. It was obvious that the cooks were unskilled, due to their mis-treatment of the food, and their lack of kitchen timing concepts.

Maybe we were there on a bad night? I liked the decor and the atmosphere, and the service was fast and friendly. I'm tempted to give Fletcher's a second try (perhaps foolishly), and I hope that my next visit is better.

Pros: Nice decor, excellent service.

Cons: Sub-standard food, stale beer, unskilled cooks.

Poor service. Very slow. Like no one knew what they were doing. You would think with an empty restaurant they could give decent service. Didn't happen. If they are open past April 09 I will be surprised.

We went there took forever to get help, they were very disorganized. They didn't have a kids meal, so i had to pay for an adult chicken tender prices. We were already committed to staying at that time. The food was just okay for being the only people in the restaurant i found that to be really discouraging. Crest wood Mall is just fading away and I don't see this Fletcher's staying awhile !
