If your friends are visiting you than you should definitely take them to this place just to see inside. The service is OK but the food is good .
It's a great place to hangout with friends. It very busy at times and might take over 20 minutes for your server to just show up.

Before I start, let me just say, I actually LOVE BlueberryHill and have been going for years, but this is one crazy story about a terrible waitress that ruined it for me.

Me and my family visited the restaurant on Saturday September 11th 2010. We waited 20 mins for a table which was expected because of dinner rush. Once we sat ourselves, the table was dirty. It then took 20 mins for a server to greet us. It took another 20 mins to receive our beverages, which were terribly watered down. It took another 15 mins to order our food. After an additional 30 mins of waiting, it became chilly and we asked could we be set inside. After being seated inside, and another 20 min wait, we decided to leave. Our new waitress, Diane, approached us and rudely asked, ??What are you doing?? I advised her we were leaving because we didn??t get our food and have been there almost 2 hours. She rudely said ??Well you need to sit down and wait.? I replied, ??No, We left the money for our drinks on the table, we are leaving.? She became even more aggressive, got in my face and continued to argue with me, saying ??I don??t know what you need to pay for so wait!? ??I have other things I need to do then I will check on your order,? and ECT. She was so loud that other customers and kitchen staff started to watch the events. After about a 3 minute exchange from the rude waitress, as she stood in my way blocking me from leaving, she yells ??Fu#* you! You are banned! Get out.? I replied, ??Well let me speak with the manager.? Diane replied ??I am the general manager, now get the hell out!? I was appalled that the General Manager of a restaurant I spend money with, and frequent often, and have since I was a kid treated me in such a manor. I don??t think I have ever been talked to by anyone like that in my life. Furthermore, I wasn??t rude with Diane until well into the dispute. When Diane first asked what we were doing, she obviously had a bad attitude. We didn??t skip out on any check or disrespect the establishment in anyway. We actually over paid for our beverages. I have never had a bad experience at Blueberry Hill, but this was the worst I have had dealing with any business. If Diane truly is the General Manager, she needs to develop herself more as a manager and a person in general. There was no reason for that kind of talk or behavior, especially towards a loyal paying customer. I don??t want to pin this as a discrimination thing, but I am African American, and people of the same race that I have told this story to say they have been treated in similar, but less dramatic ways at Blue Berry Hill and other restaurants in the University City Loop area.

Blueberry hill is great! It's a true "pup" type feeling.

Beer selection is great and i think they pour the strongest drinks in town. The staff is fun and laid back, something i really love, i don't want dumbly smiling 17 yr olds all over me from start to finish (if you DO there are plenty of applebees out there)

Food is good for pup style food, which is to say it's good but basic, Example= Their burgers are super great! but basic (if you want a *NEW* texas/ranch/chipotla/whatever burger again, there's always applebees) and lots of good fried stuff to chow on, they actually have veggie/vegan stuff to but what? you dont want that in a pub.

Also the place is HUGE, Big dart room, pinball machines... just great.

4 of us went for lunch after a movie--I was SO excited because I had heard of Blueberry Hill for years and finally I was going to eat here. Although I expected "touristy" quality I didn't expect the truly poor quality of everything we were served: coffee was barely lukewarm-we all had to send it back; my food was poorly prepared but at least it was hot. 2 people at the table were served COLD food & returned their dishes to the kitchen. When they got their food back, my friend's dish was STILL cold - apparently the cook forgot to at least reheat it. The waitress was overwhelmed but still-- she was SO rude that we didn't leave a tip: a personal first for me. (I normally tip 25%)
My advice would be to head for the bar, have a drink and just enjoy being in this well known place. Don't eat a meal here.

Cons: food poor, coffee lukewarm, very poor service

Great place to check out for non-St. Louisans. Chuck Berry plays a gig once a month in the Duck Room - gotta love it. Also, great bar food menu - burgers are awesome. Game room for happy hour available - appertizers and adult beverages are priced reasonably. Lots of memorabilia on the walls that is a must see!

The inside of Blueberry Hill is a true mark from the past. From the many awards, darts, and memorabilia leave it something to awe.

2 things:
--The food is sub-par...MANY better places to eat in The Loop
--The steel-tip darts and beer selection is incredible!

If your looking for somewhere hip to hang and throw darts than Blueberry Hill is a must.

I, like most St. Louisans, LOVE Blueberry Hill. It's located in the trendy Delmar Loop area and is a great place to grab a bite. The burgers are INCREDIBLE... you'd be hard pressed to find a better one. Anywhere. Take time while you're there to check out all the Chuck Berry, Cardinals, Simpsons, and other random memorabilia all over the walls and in display cases.

Even Chuck Berry thinks so, he plays there once a month!

They have a great beer selection, good mixed drinks, and some of the best bar food I've had anywhere. It's the only place I'll even bother ordering a burger, because I know how great it'll be!

This place is great! It's covered in lots of memrobilia that you can walk around and check out. It has a great location in the center of the loop so you can shop and have dinner. And it's a great place for music lovers. Have a great dinner then go listen to a band in the duck room.

This is a must see if you're from out of town. The burgers and fries are excellent. There's a great atmosphere that makes it a fun place to have lunch (or dinner) with friends. The staff are great and very attentive. The prices are reasonable too, considering what you get. It's located in the trendy part of Clayton. There's a great ambience in the area and you can walk around afterwards and check it out.

I placed my order in good faith on May 5h. They never sent me any info. I contacted thm after 6 weeks to check the status of my order and was told I could receive a refund because they were busy. I decided to give them more time. I waited 6 more weeks no product , no word from them. Finally cancelled order. waisted 3 months on an order I never received. Rip off. poor customer service.

Blueberry Hill is a great place to go with groups. Great bar atmosphere, live music, tasty food. The service is usually fast and friendly. I'm particularly fond of the game boards built into the tables.

My husband and I went to Blueberry Hill for the first time this past weekend and were more than highly disappointed. I ordered fetticini and have honestly had better tasing fetticini in frozen TV dinners. My husband got the fish and chips and was no more impressed. The staff was very tacky dressed and not shall we say very well groomed. The building itself was run down, paint chipping off the walls, terrible bathrooms. We will not be back.

I went to Blueberry Hill on my last evening in St. Louis. The loop resembles the Arts District in Columbus, OH called the "Short North." The loop is more of an entertainment district and more expansive , however. I went in around 9 p.m. on Thursday. I felt like breakfast, which they serve all the time! I had their biscuits and gravy. The plate arrived with a nice, liberal amount of both, very tasty. I loved my server, who was a very friendly young lady with strawberry blonde to red hair. The light was dim, which added to the nice atmosphere. I loved all the Elvis, Chuck Berry and music memorabila and all the toys and games encased in glass. Her service was very prompt and attentive. I then had a small dessert of ice cream with blueberry topping, very nice! My server was kind enough not only to take my picture when I requested, but she took one with me and her, this picture I will always treasure. The prices were also very reasonable. The next time, I will definitely try their hamburger and blueberry pie, maybe even see Chuck Berry! I really hope to get the same server, she was wonderful! This is one reason I will need to go to St. Louis again. The location, right on the most interesting and educational walk of fame also makes it a great stop.

Went here for the first time a few months ago for my anniversary. I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. With all the hype, I thought it would be a good place to go. That's what it is, all hype. It was very busy, and we were stuck in a back room where the dart leagues play. The service was ok, there was only one guy working that room there at the time, and he did the best he could. Food was way substandard. Almost all local fastfood chains have better burgers. I also thought the decor would be a bit more fun and historical, but everything was rather dark and dingy. The place seems more of a tourist trap than a eclectic old St. Louis tradiiton. I would never go back.

(Grade C for the food; A+ for the live music and juke box)
Although I love the place, the food really isn't that great. Even though they're cooked at a typical weight, the burgers always seem small. To get what you typically want on a burger, you've got to add another $1.00 on top of the $5.00 or so that it is on its own. Keep in mind that this is just for the burger (you're paying for the atmosphere). If you want fries, it's another few bucks. Often times, the fries are the best thing of the meal. I mistakenly ordered the "homemade" chili with my meal sometimes, and I'm reminded how the chili is probably the most overpriced thing on the menu (about $3 for a "cup"). It has very little texture to it, and it's very bland. For effect, pieces of cheese are sprinkled on top.
As I said earlier, I love the place, but the meals can get expensive quickly if you and a date get a burger, fries, and a beer. The RFT burger battle usually pits the Blueberry burger against the Culpepper burger; for my money, I would have to say that the Culpepper burger is far superior (and you get fries with it)

Their burgers are not "the best" but they are just average, nothing to really gloat about...prices are fairly cheap. Servers are generally rude so I just avoid the place all together. I would recommend the place to grab a few beers and people watch but that's about it. They do have really good/greasy onion rings.

How in the hell did Hardee's rate #1?! To many people drunk or baked drove, to Hardee's because BB-Hill was closed late, ordered a "Thick-Monster-Triple-Stack-Thunder-Grease-Jumper-Milllion-Pounder burger" and swallowed it in one bite (tasty right?). Then drove home & got on the Internet! Do/Can people really taste their food anymore?

This place has it all. First of all the Burgers are to die for! I've seen that some of the reviews on here are saving "overpriced" but I think those folks are thinking of fast food. The prices here are like that same as at Steak n Shake. Here you get great burgers cooked anyway you want them. Like a million beers to choose from and good STRONG drinks from the Bar. Plus this place is HUGE! like the size of 2 or 3 other resturants.Play Darts, See a Show (Maybe even Chuck Barry). The staff is great and laid back (they can wear whatever they want which means you get to see "all types"). GO THERE NOW! It's Great!

I was extremely disappointed! There was no where to be where you weren't in someone's way. Taking into consideration that it was a busy night, the staff was rude save one gentleman who was busing tables and informed us that table service ended at 9pm (we arrived at 9:05)--a point not made to us when entering, by the guy checking our IDs. After searching for a table for about 10-15 min., we were directed to a lengthy line and a lady in a booth with a calculator taking orders. We were given a number and expected to hear it shouted through the restaurant over punk rock music and other customers chatting. After not hearing our number called and waiting the suggested 25 min., I went to check the "window by the kitchen" and found our food. It was cold, dry and just nasty in general, not to mention overpriced.

Back in the day when I would comsume libations, Blueberry Hill was the place to go for their wide selection of beers. Along with that, they have an excellent burger and pretty good menu as far as bar food goes. For those who enjoy looking at nolstalgic items, they have a collection of old toys on display that will take you back decades.

PROS: Great food, great beer

This place is well known on the Delmar "loop"
The atmosphere is very good, the decor is awesome (vintage america)
The food and service were pretty good, too. Typical casual restaurant food, but very reasonable prices. Recommended

PROS: food, price
CONS: sometimes long wait, smoke

I don't know what's wrong with these people who vote on here, but Blueberry Hill is by FAR the best burger around. Juicy and flavorful, its a great place to eat, but don't bring your 3 year old there!

Pros: Awesome burger, Great bar and food, Good adult atmosphere

Cons: Not family-orientated

I love the hamburgers and the prices. Everything is reasonable plus you can dine outside which is even better. I haven't been inside to eat so I can't comment on that. But the food , service and the prices are great.

I LOVE This place. I have been coming here for years! The Staff is one of the best I have ever seen. After a day at my job I love nothing better than to come somewhere were the Staff isn't Forced to all look like bland boring "chain restaurant" Workers. The Food is GREAT for Both Meat eaters and Veggie Lovers alike! More beers than you know what to do with. Bugers cooked to order! (sure it my take a few mins longer-but hey go to mcdonalds if you want) Try The Buffalo Fries! "I Love This PLACE"!

Sure they have great wall hangings and lots of neat stuff to play with and look at, but hey this is a restaurant so lets talk about the food. Hamburgers (supposivly the best around) are small and tasteless. $10 will get you a burger/fries/and soda, so much for being a local burger joint. I have given them the oppurtunity to be the best, but they have fallen short each time. Maybe there's a reason why it's mostly tourists that frequent BB, the locals know better.
Beware you have to be 21 or older to enjoy everything the bar has to offer..if you plan on seeing a show or playing darts, be sure to bring your ID.

I love BBH and was a regular until I moved away. I even met my BF there. We have since moved, but I miss BBH like you wouldn't believe.
The bartenders are great. My fav was Roy. For us regulars, he'd pour our drink when he saw us walk up to the bar. Also, the cheese fries are a must after you've had a few:)

No, it's not Hardies.... THANK GOODNESS!!! Yes, it's the best burger in America. No ifs ands or buts. After extensive travel and dining and after taking countless out of town guests to this bastion of the burger (all of them raving about this burger), I have no choice but to crown Blueberry Hill king of burgerdom. No more silly fast food. Stop being decieved by slick, national marketing and try the real thing.

My husband and I went to Blueberry Hill for lunch one day when we vacationed in St. Louis, MO. The decorating was really cool and so retro.
I ordered the Loop Club and my husband got the Famous hot dog. We shared a piece of Blueberry pie. I was so disappointed the service and food was way below my expectations. I had heard all this good stuff about Blueberry Hill. All that was good was the decorating. The food was just average. Plus, the service was really slow. Like I said, I was very disappointed.

Blueberry Hill is awesome...its got an amazing history, I'll give it that. However, the food is pretty expensive and it ain't THAT great. If you want good cheap American food, you don't really ever think 'Let's go to Blueberry Hill.'

They actually ask you how you want your burger cooked, amazing. And they cook it very nicely. Best burger in the St. Louis area that I've tasted. It's also a good place to sit and eat and talk comfortably with your significant other or with a group of friends. great atmosphere, even if the pop culture decor is a bit silly.

If you want to experience a unique resturant then go to Blueberry Hill. In the heart of the Delmar loop Blueberry Hill is very nostalgic. The food is good, prices are reasonable, and you never know who you might see there. On weekends they have great bands for all ages.

I think this is a great restaurant that offers a variety of things for all. The restaurant located on the LOOP adds to the scene. Servers wearing fishnet, sporting mohawks, crazy piercings. The food is always great, fast, and inexpensive. It is also a fun place to meet for drinks on a weekend!

Go to Blueberry Hill if anything to just look at all the cool stuff they have inside! They have old collectibles. Lots of rock and roll stuff. You can eat outside too. While you eat inside you can play old songs on the jukebox. There's a lot of history inside here. Check it out.

Having suffered an appalling hamburger at the mediocre Cardwell's, I feel it only fair to point out that Blueberry Hill is one of St. Louis' most consistently enjoyable & reliable restaurants. Not only is the ambience authentic and entrancing, the service, drink and food are invariably excellent. And splendid value for the money!

This is a neat restaurant the hamburgers are great so are there cajun french fries and wings. If you go after 8 be sure to bring ID they wouldn't let my 68 year old grandma in without it. Parking is a problem but the food is good.
