My husband and I decided to once again eat at The Bistro before seeing our show at the Fox. This is a pattern we had fallen into before each show. Last night we were a little later then we usually are because the Sunday show is 30 minutes earlier and we had to switch our season tickets this week. But we still had well over an hour before show time. Three large tables were sat after us and the bar stools went from empty to full. We ordered our food the moment the waitress came to our table (which actually did take longer then normal). We purposely did not order large meals due to the time constraints. We ordered a salad, quesadilla and chicken sandwich. We waited. Salad was never delivered. Then, after all the other tables and people at the bar received their food before us (even though they ordered after us) we finally asked about it. It was delivered right out. The chicken on the sandwich was so cold my husband couldn't eat it. My quesadilla was warm. The waitresses response to the food was "well, in a perfect world it would have been out here faster." She did apologize and insisted she put our order in right away but "these things happen." We were welcome to take it home with us. Really? How nice. I love to eat my dinner at 11:00 at night? I was shocked that our bill came at full price! We paid it and very little tip which is hard for us to do since we normally tip at least 20% or more. I do want to express our extreme disappointment. The experience has kicked us out of our rut. We will no longer be eating at The Bistro before our shows. The service is historically slow but this was more then even that. And not the friendliest people there at all. We have overlooked that and the higher entree prices for the convenience factor of their location. Not anymore!

I've always wanted to try this place out. Would this be a place that Bradford Kessler would come to??

My boyfriend was in St. Louis on business this past weekend, so it was my job to find an activity for us. I think for this one he'll love me for life because is can't stop talking about it. Montez Coleman was playing and he is awesome. You can't top the atmosphere and the food is delicious also. The Bistro is not too big but also not to small so that you can get a good feel for the music. It's not too crowded but the crowd vibes to the artists. The presentation of the food is a class act also. Our impression of St. Louis was very dismal until we went to Jazz at the Bistro, at first I had my intentions were to never return to St. Louis but now I'll think twice especially if I can visit The Bistro again. It's a must if you are ever in St. Louis.

Saw James Moody last Friday night and the evening was perfect. We were celebrating our anniversary and were congratulated from the stage by the emcee. The room is fantastic, great sitelines and sound system. This is easily the best and classiest place in town to hear live jazz, it is perhaps one of the best jazz venues in the world! We will definately be back

I went for a quick dinner before the show, and was happily surprised at how good the food, wine, and especially the dessert were. Beef Wellington is phenominal, as is the warm chocolate cake. i highly recommend it!

My wife and I went to see Ahmad Jamal, we were so excited to see an artist who in my opinion is a living legend, the staff, especially the host/mc, were courteous and welcoming. We were able to get a table close to the front and really felt connected to Mr. Jamal and the band. It was a great evening of music in a beautiful setting. We will definately be back.
