When the engine in my Mazda blew I began looking for a shop with reasonable rates that could get the job done

We have been having great experiences at Valley Auto Service (Beetlesmith's). Family owned business has excellent customer service - good pricing and goes out of there way to make sure everything is done to our satisfaction. Same day

This is the only place we take our vehicles. They were able to diagnose and fix our Saturn when no one else could. Great service, highly recommended.

Valley Auto Service has held my vehicle hostage for over a week. The reason, they lack the tools and equipment to repair my 2003 Ford Mustang. This lack of current diagnostic equipment to pin point my engines failure has left me with a non-running vehicle and a staggering $624.00 bill. To add insult to injury when I paid my bill to Valley Auto Service and was handed a receipt of payment I was told that they would arrange for the towing of my vehicle to the dealership the following Monday. Late afternoon Tuesday the Dealer had still not received my vehicle.
Jerry Smith the proprietor of Valley Auto Service and the person who had accepted my check just days before informs me that they do not except check from out of state banks. Granted he could have mentioned the fact at the time when he accepted my Home equity check. I guess my time isnt of any consequence to people like Jerry. I then offer to write him a local check and he refused stating that They do not except checks from customers that they have not done business with before. I guess you dont have to many of those now do you Jerry? (Apparently return business is not a priority)
Now in my ninth day without transportation I am being forced to pay with a credit card just to get my car towed to the dealer. After further investigation Ive learned that my dealers hourly rates are merely a dollar more per hour than at Valley Auto Service.
So my advice is save yourself the time, trouble, and hassle of working with a fly by night auto service company. Spend the $94.00 an hour to get the job done right at the dealership. Companies like this give reliable repair shops a bad name with their disreputable service and questionable ethics. So please take my advice and take your car somewhere else if you need a repair.
Especially if the want a running vehicle to drive off the lot.
