.

I had been a patient of Hudson's Bay Medical Group for almost 3 years. I went there because my Primary Dr. Joseph Badolato had moved his practice there. Recently I had some Painters in my house and while I was gone one of them stole my prescriptions. I called Dr. Badolato/Hudson's Bay Medical Group to inform them of this theft and to see about getting the medication that I had been prescribed by Dr. Badolato and had been taking on a daily basis for over 5 years. I was informed that I would have to provided them with a Police Report, which I did. The painter that stole my pills was already in jail for stealing a gun from another home he was working at and had several other prescription theft charges on his record. At least 3 times in the time I saw Dr. Badolato I had asked to have the milligrams lowered or to be taken off certain Medications that he had prescribed to me. I was told "No, now is not a good time for you and you will have to be "weaned" off of the medication." So while I was waiting for the Police Report to be recorded I was completely out of the pills that I had been on. I called Hudson's Bay Medical Group and told them I only needed a "ok" from them to fill my prescriptions so that Insurance would covered them. They told me "No, not until we get a Police Report." I could feel my body and my mind going through with drawls. I wasn't asking for them to fill any "Controlled Substance" only the Anti-Depressants that I had be on for so long and told by Dr. Badolato not to stop taking. On 08-14-2010 I called the Answering service for the on call Dr. as my Anxiety was so bad due to the the stress and lack of medication. The on call Dr. happened to be Dr. Badolato. He could hear that I was having a panic attack and told me to go to the Hospital. My Husband happened to find a couple of my Xanax that Dr. Badolato had me on, in my travel bag and I was able to calm down. On 08-15-2010 I woke up and started having another panic attack but had no medication. I tried calming myself down but continued having the panic attack until it caused my Asthma to kick in. My Husband rushed me to the ER were I was admitted and had to be revived 3 times because I stopped breathing. I was in the Hospital 2 and 1/2 days due to this. When I went to my follow-up visit with Dr. Badolato I was informed that I was being "Discharged" as a Patient due to my "pattern" per Heather of having issues with my prescriptions. I followed their instructions, got the Police Report. Which by the time that was done my prescriptions were able to be refilled anyway. So basically I wanted to go off some of these drugs only to be told no and that I would need to slowly wean myself off of them to going "Cold Turkey" because Hudson's Bay Medical Group did not want to give me 7 days worth of Anti-Depressants that they hand out samples of! Then when I called to have refills set up until I could find a new Dr. I was told by Michelle that Dr. Badolato would no longer be prescribing me Narcotics!! I wasn't looking for just the prescription of the Xanax, I wasn't looking for just the BAD, BAD Narcotics. I was looking to have all my prescriptions refilled. The ones that Dr. Badolato had me on for so long. They have made me feel like I did something wrong when I was the victim of theft and jumped through all the hoops they wanted me to. Basically, if I wouldn't have told them about the incident I would still be a patient. But because I was honest and asked for 7 days of my Anti-Depressants I am now getting treated like a Drug Addict!
