Do not go here!! The only person who has authority to do anything if something goes wrong - which it will - trust me - is the owner and she will not talk to you. She has ignored all of my emails and voicemails completely.

The owner Kathy is awful. She is unprofessional and disorganized and downright rude. Selection is poor also. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Looking back on my wedding, I'm so upset that I spent my time and did business with the Princess Bride Bridal Shop. With my friends who are getting married, the first thing I tell them is to stay far away.

I can't begin to describe the horrible customer service and unresponsiveness, especially from the owner Kathy. Multiple things went wrong -- here are just a couple. My veil came in late and damaged. The wait time for it to be made was far longer they told me it would be (by a couple months) and there was not enough time to sew a new one, so I had a veil with holes in it for my wedding. Another time when I was in picking up my dress, I had a man (presumably an employee's husband) trying to get my to purchase earrings, necklaces, shoes and pretty much everything possible. They are horribly pushy and don't know how to take "no" for an answer.

The only thing I did right was go elsewhere for my dress alterations. The Princess Bride quoted me at $400 and I paid $65 elsewhere. WAY overpriced.

The best thing that a bride could ask for is less stress during wedding planning. The Princess Bride adds more stress to the planning process and I would suggest to anyone they find another shop! I was very please with LaBelle Elaine's in downtown Seattle where I purchased my bridesmaid dresses.

DO NOT, REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE...BEWARE OF FAKE REVIEWS POSTED BY OWNER! Terrible establishment for what is supposed to be the happiest time of your life, they ruined SEVERAL opportunites of which should have been positive but instead were FAR FROM! From the get, I did not appreciate the way I was treated by their bridal consultant but I loved the dress and the price was good. Do not be mistaken by thier aggressive marketing tactics to be be viewed as "Great", they are all about SELF PROMOTION and its tiring. I wish I would have read some reviews before purchasing in the first place...WORD TO THE WISE, stay away. I was verbally attacked and had to suffer through a salesperson who would take NO responsibility for the errors in which transpired from the dress order.

Please do not give these very rude people any business. They over charge you like crazy.

They might have dress that you like but alterations lady is so BAD. She is the meanest lady. She says she has 40 years of experience but she needs to learn some business manner. So RUDE. She was trying to charge $400 for dress alteration when I bought the dress for $900 !!

Brides, there's better places than here. don't ruin your wedding planning by going to this place.

I would want to give negative rating if possible.
Plus, I heard the owner (kathy) writes fake positive reviews

I bought my dress at a wedding show from this place and I had to take it in for alteration.
Very very poor customer service (really rude) - only one person is nice. (a young girl with short hair)
They have pretty dresses but DONT get alteration from here. They sooooooo over charge for alteration. I took my dress for an alteration and they gave me an estimate of $500 when the dress was $900. I got my dress altered from some where else for $200 and I LOVE my dress. I'm so glad I didn't get mine done from there.. Brides, there's absolutely no reason you should pay almost half of your dress for an alteration. They don't give cheaper rate even if you bought your dress from them but they charge even more !! HOW RUDE !! They (or maybe its the alteration person) try to make you go through them by saying that they have experience.
There's so many people who can do better job -
I would give 0 star if I can..

Brides, you have a lot of things on your list to do - Please DON'T waste your time by going to this place.

DO NOT. I repeat, DO NOT give business to these people. In fact tell everyone you know who is getting married to not to visit their store.

They mark up their merchandise well over the suggested retail value. I was there a few weeks ago and found bridesmaid dresses but my bridesmaid and I could not pick a favorite. Since we could not decide on the perfect dress we decided to go home and think about it. Later I looked up the After Six dresses I had picked out from Princess Bride on the internet and printed out pictures of my favorites. I went to other bridal stores to compare prices and each dress was at least $50 less than the quoted price from Princess Bride.

So if they are marking up bridesmaid dresses at $50-$100 over the prices of other stores... it makes one wonder how much they are marking up their wedding gowns!

I obviously didn't go back to buy any bridesmaid dresses and I suggest you don't either!

Cons: They mark up their prices, pushy, and turn rude when you decide to go home without making a purchase.

Before I went looking for wedding dresses I was terrified! I am a size 20 and I never thought that I could look good in anything. SUPRISINGLY I found a perfect dress! All of the people that worked there were so nice, and made me feel good about myself. They had a big selection of plus size dresses that were all really pretty. I bought my wedding dress at the Princess Bride, yay! The wedding is in January and I cant wait!

The Princess Bride is a lovely bridal boutique with a great selection of gowns; especially the Pronovias brand. Everyone I've spoken with are very friendly and helpful. They have a really good selection of jewelry and veils too. I would go back any day. Thank you Princess Bride for making my bridal experience wonderful!!

As a full-figured woman, I'd been almost fearing searching for my wedding gown-- the last thing I wanted to do was to go to a salon full of size 4 dresses with pictures of super models all over the walls. But the Princess Bride had and AMAZING selection of full-figured gowns, all of them gorgeous. Their selection is far beyond the two other shops I tried before. My first alterations appointment was totally stress-free, and at the second fitting I never imagined I could look this good. The alterations staff work miracles! Plus, they were completely clear and upfront on the costs, and they're very good with outlining how things will go, from your first appointment to try on a dress to alterations to taking home the gown. I haven't felt confused even for a moment. Thank you Princess Bride! Now my day will be perfect.

I had gone to a few bridal shops before visiting Princess Bride. As soon as I walked in I was impressed. They have gorgeous gowns of every shape and size. I tried on dress after dress and had a hard time narrowing it down to one! I'm really confused by the other comments because I experienced none of that and believe that some of those statements are completely false. It was very easy to book an appointment- I was treated like royalty while trying on dresses. I was able to bring in family and friends and we were all treated very kindly. Gail was amazing and so helpful- she was not pushy or overbearing but was very interested in making sure I was happy with my purchase. Thank you Princess Bride!!!!

I had an afternoon appt. I showed up on time and was immediately greeted with "we are overbooked".. (Don't make the appt then). When I first walked in there was a dress hanging on the manequin that I wanted to try on. They said no. Luckily for me my friend was there to help me because we had to pull the dresses off ourselves, I had to put them on myself, my friend had to button me up, and then we had to put them back where we found them. They didn't help me AT ALL! I did find a few pretty dresses though so when it was time to leave I asked who made the dresses and where I could view them online as I like to send them to my family to get their opinion. They said they didn't know who made the dresses and wouldn't give me any information about them like other shops do. (Liar) How do they order them?
When I came back with my mom for my 2nd time to show her the dresses, they didn't have any of my information. Denise told me to go through all the dresses again. They are very rude and unprofessional. Beware of good reviews as the owner Cathy is posting them herself.

This store has a lot of pretty options but I felt uncomfortable with the sales tactics. I did find a dress that was quite pretty at this store. The dress was at the high end of the budget. I was also told that the dress would need about $300 in alterations. Although it was over budget, I was pretty decided upon this dress, until the sales pitch began. As I was taking the dress off, the saleslady came over and said "I JUST found out that this gown is going out of style. However, they can make one more, just for you, but it's going to cost $100-$200 more". I thought that was kind of sketchy...why did the price suddenly go up? I said "well if they are making one more, just for me, then I won't need alterations, right?" (because I figured if it was made "just for me" then it would be made for my measurements). The saleslady said that I would still need the alterations. So that was a bit frustrating. It seemed like they were just trying to squeeze another $200 out of me. I left without making a decision, because I really needed to think about whether or not I wanted to go $500 over budget. The saleslady called me the next day, and left a message saying that she figured out a way to get the dress down in price. That was nice to hear, but it just seemed a little weird--like if I had bought the dress 1 day earlier, then I would have paid way too much. I wondered if I waited another day if the price would keep going down (it didn't). I didn't end up buying the dress because the sales tactics just frustrated me so I decided to have a dress custom made instead.

Please do not give your hard earned money to this Bothell location.

They will take your money, upsell you on everything and then ignore you. Try and leave a voice mail on the ancient answering machine, don't think for one moment they will actually call you back. Assume electronic communications are fool proof and you would be wrong. You can send that email but nothing says they have to answer in a timely (if ever) manner. If you are lucky enough to have someone pick up they will tell you they are busy and will call you back at a certain time. Don't be fooled - it will never happen.

The sales person even hung up on me when I pointed you she had never called back in a timely (ie same day) manner or when she had said she would. Customer service only extends to the next unfortunate bride not to those who have already been parted from their funds.

The prices are not low enough to put up with the attitude. DON"T DO IT

During my engagement I purchased a Gown, Veil, Tiara, Strapless Bra, Garter, Pettie Coat, Cap Sleeves from here, so I interacted w/them MANY times.

Wow. I cannot urge you/anybody you know NOT to use this place! If I explained all of the problems I had w/them it would take 2 pages, at least that is what it took when I wrote the owner. I wanted to give them a chance to make it right, but instead she said that she thinks it was all "beyond their stores control" (LOL)and said it sounds like all she could give me was an apology since "the wedding was over."

I had complained to the store manager during my engagement and was never given a discount. The short of it is that the items I had problems with were: my dress color and size, veil color and arrival, voicemails not getting returned, all of my information being "lost", waiting 15-80 minutes for schedules appointments, receiving multiple calls after my wedding that were for someone else.

Please make your wedding planning less stressful and do not shop here!

Are you sure that you are talking about the right "Princess Bride"?
There is one shop in Renton also called "Princess Bride."
Some of the reviews seems like not matching to the description of the right "Prince Bride" in Bothell.
I got my dress in Bothell store, and they did great job on my dress. They had good customer services and excellent suggestions for me. My experience there was great.
I was just suprised that they got so many bad reviews...

I bought a dress from Princess Bridal at the Seattle Wedding Show. The gown was much too big for me, and I wanted the train removed, but they told me it would not be a problem and quoted $200 in alterations costs. I was told later that it would be $500 just to remove the train, and that the other alterations would be $300. They asked for the price in full, but we gave them $150-- hoping to pay once we saw the alterations (like with most tailoring.) I needed a lighter dress-- without the train--and decided to part with my (huge) dress. They refused to refund the $150 in alterations even though nothing had been done to the dress-- absolutely nothing. I never asked to return the dress-- obviously a sale dress cannot be returned-- yet they didn't even offer to show me a new dress. They were smug and made remarks about my chances of selling the dress online-- another great sales pitch: "if you can sell your dress online, then you're a better salesperson than we are." This after I bought a dress from them. Please do not give Princess Bridal your business. It's a strange and depressing store, and they only care about making a sale. Instead, go to the Bridal Garden in Kirkland where the owner truly cares about you and the way you will look at your wedding. I wish I'd gone there first.

Worst bridal place ever!!! They made us pay a deposit over the phone just to come in and look at the dresses. They ordered several of our dresses in the wrong size just to make us pay for alterations. Bride's dress came in only a few days before the wedding with a large spot on it, and they couldn't care less. They ever ordered the wrong veil. If you go here, you will regret it for sure. Rudest people.

I had a horrible experience trying on dresses at this "store". It is actually a house in the middle of nowhere and we had to knock to enter which was so weird. The living room is set up as a make shift store and you have to walk down a hallway to show your friends/family the dresses when you try on. The person who helped me was really pushy and every dress I put on they tried to start pinning so I would feel pressured to buy it. I told them that we had been to a lot of stores that day and they pretty much quit helping me at that point. The man that helps run the store was really creepy and I didn't find a single dress that was worth the time. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The customer service leaves much to be desired!

The owner of this establishment needs to take both a business class as well as a course on etiquette.

I made an apt. and was largely ignored- along with being shoved in a little room with 7 other women with windows that did not have window coverings that ensured privacy!

Furthermore, the owner was rude and unprofessional and the staff seemed poorly trained.

Lastly, the dresses are mediocre.
