Ok, seriously, how could a Krispy Kreme experience go bad. Unless you somehow manage to miss your mouth or accidentally hurl it across the room because of all the excitement.

If you like doughnuts you will love Krispy Kremes. I think they do a real good job here. The doughnuts are tasty and fresh. The price is good. They keep the place clean. The staff are friendly. I also like the regular coffee they serve. It is just off of I-90 and worth the stop.

Krispy Kreme donuts are competitive in taste, but not in price. To save face they cannot lower their prices, now that the rave over their donuts has subsided in this region--but hopefully they won't raise them too. This chain is still unique in that they sell nostalgic toys to commemorate an era and the esthetics of their donut shop surpasses their competition. Known for their glazed donuts, these are still mouth-watering and still worth the addition to your dozen. One thing they could definitely improve on, is their lack of friendliness at the Drive Thru window. I get a more cheery reception at a McD's drive thru.

If you ever feel the need for a late night snack head over to Krispy Kreme and get a dozen of the original glazed donuts. Then pick up a gallon of milk to help wash them down. My daughter loves to watch them making the donuts, great place to take the kids.

Remember the hype surrounding Krispy Kreme's entry into the Seattle area? This Issaquah doughnut shop was fast the most popular place in town. There were lines out of the drive-thru such that police were there and the place was coned off to direct traffic and inside there were lines wrapping all over the place. Now, admittedly, standing in the shop watching the doughnuts get made and iced is really interesting, but apparently this shop was not quite worth the hype after all. The doughnuts are pretty good. I don't think they're really outstanding. A warm original glazed doughnut is pretty good and nearly melts in your mouth, but meh... They're ok. The lines are all gone and there's plenty of other Krispy Kremes in the Seattle area so eat up if you like doughnuts, or better yet, visit Top P0t.

Pros: Doughnuts for a doughnut fan... The long lines are gone.

Cons: The long lines are gone because the doughnuts aren't really worth waiting an hour in line for.

Leave the doughnuts alone! Be angry at the people who tag our streets and rip off our community. They're just donuts! I'm sure everyone has their favorite. You don't go to K.K. for Maple Bars or Apple Friter's! You go for the experience of watching the dounts being made. The Flipper, Waterfall of Glaze and the smell of Fresh, Hot, Sugarery Delights. I bring my day care kids there for an extra special treat. They love it! Ask ahead of time and they will give you a one on one tour with your group. How cool! Where else can you go and do that? So don't hate....enjoy! We go to the Krispy Kreme in Industry, Calif. They have always been nice and it is always clean.

Partially hydrogenated oils stay in your body for six weeks. We have known this as a society for over 20 years now. Yet KK still uses them in their doughnuts. That should tell you how they feel about their customers-they only care about the profits. Quality is NOT important at this establishment.

Perhaps the most overrated place in town. I really can't understand how absolutely nuts people in the West go over Krispy Kreme. Their donuts are mediocre but the hype is downright nauseating! All I can say is that Krispy Kreme seems to have had one of the most successful marketting campaigns in recent history -- manufacturing a sensation from mediocre donuts. I'd rather go to my local donut shop down on Rainier, or Top Pot on Capitol Hill or the crazy little donut stand in Pike Market.

KK is a different breed of donut - lovingly wrapped in an icing ascot, flaunting their deliciousness to the Dunkin' Donus set. These are not supermarket donuts. They're best when hot. You'll usually get a free one in line.
The retro feel is great. Their interior designers and architects did a bang up job. Bring the kids inside to oogle the donutted conveyor belt through the glass and watch these beauties be created before your eyes. Or swing through the drive-thru on your way to the gym.

I was very disappointed by my first encounters with Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. I was not impressed. I have to think thatpeople are buying into the myth, not buying the product. I have had doughnuts of comparable quality from my local Safeway.

Now I enjoy a donut just as much as the next Seattlite, but honestly, can you call this a donut. The ever-popular Krispy Kreme donut has invaded the Pacific Northwest. I cannot imagine why in this highly competitive day-in-age, a company can survive while making such a crappy product. The donut that this company puts forth has no structure (it flops right over in your hand), horrible taste (I became naucious), and I had to drive to frikin' Issaquah to taste it. No offense to those in Issaquah, but living in Federal Way, I was expecting a little more for the trip up there. Anyways, I'll stick to my south Sound donuts and hopefully you guys up north get it right before I make another trip.

While you're scratching your head and trying to figure out what the big hype is about--- consider this: these same polls say Dick's has the best hamburgers, Pizza Hut has the best pizza, and the Old Spaghetti Factory has great food. Almost ANY mom-and-pop donut store in California has better donuts than this (no, I'm not from California). I grew up in the South, ate these for years. Everyone there knows the only time to eat these is at 3am when you're full of beer. Any other time, they're so full of fat and sugar, they'll make you hurl.

Krispy Kreme made me the success I am today. Thirty-something years ago I was in college and I had a strong proclivity for procrastination, cramming for finals and doing 30 page term-papers the night before... What saved me on those long, cold, dreary nights, what fueled my brain cells so I could retain the rhetoric and write a paper I really knew little about, were my little round, glazed friends who were always there, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, fresh, hot, waiting, comforting, inspiring... Hmpff! That anyone would even THINK of rating these under a "10" (or that there isn't an "eleven!" is simply appalling!!) The Pacific Northwest should be on its collective knees in humble gratitude for the mere opportunity to wait in line for these delicate, delicious pastries! Ahhh, my Heroes have returned. (Makes me wonder how one would look riding a White Stallion...)

If you also voted for the Spaghetti Factory, skip to other, more positive reviews of this extra-average donut joint. Very sugary (can be good), bland (never good if you are going to sacrifice all of those calories and fat grams) and dull texture--certainly not the worst donut in town, but nowhere near the loveliness of a Top Pot creation. Just a typical corporate snack, no surpises.

My Mother came to visit and wanted to know about the legendary doughnuts. So we went and stood in line, which moved very fast and takes you by the production line. We both enjoyed watching the automated process. When we got past the window, we were handed a glazed original, for free, right off the line. It lived up to our expectations and was the best donut I have ever had. They are worth it if they are hot and fresh. They are a bit sweet when cold, but still good.

at the donut shop, served hot, just out of the oven, Krispe Kreme glazed donuts are best-of-breed. For ANY OTHER donut variety or if you have to eat them cold (as in being brought to your office), GO ESLEWHERE FOR DONUTS! the rest is just great marketing and herd mentality. yikes, has anyone ever tried these cold? or tried any of their other donuts? Except for the plain glazed when they are hot, they aren't even CLOSE to the quality or taste of other national donut chains. (lets remember that this is one of those) Like an over-hyped movie that people say is good either because everyone else does and they'd feel dumb saying what they really feel, or because they are young and haven't seen anything better (kind of like the movie "Signs!"), Krispe Kreme is almost all show, no "go."

The reality is that almost ANY doghnut is good when it's just been made. Is Krispy Kreme better than Winchells? Yes. Is it as good as all of the brainwashed lemmings want you to believe? Of course not. Even fans of the Krispy Kreme usually admit that the traditional glazed is the only thing special about Krispy Kreme (all others varieties are completely unremarkable). Also, you'd better get to them quickly, because they start to melt into a greasy glob within 30 minutes. Krispy Kreme's are tasty, to be sure, but so is a Hershy's chocolate bar or a slice of cheesecake. However, I wouldn't wade through a sea of easily duped, trend-following yuppies to get them, either.
