Started by one of this area's leading newspaper wine critics, the bottles you will find on his shelves are all better than average. Sometimes the staff is far more knowledgeable than other trips, but generally they can help you make a good selection.

The wine outlet often proves to be a place to find bargains on lesser expensive wines. When it first began it always was. Lately we find the bargains are good but it is on more expensive wines. This is not a bad thing but we now have to watch what we are spending.

Wine outlet is a shop that buy closeout wines and overstock. They are willing to open wine for tastings and try to give advice on the wines they have for sale. They now have 2 stores one in the sodo area and one in the ballard area. They also have wine tastings classes at the Ballard store.
