Last month I took a day off work to ejoy the sun and warmth. I went to Alki beach as I haven't really explored it yet. The weather was gorgeous... I felt like having Mexican food for lunch. I stopped at several places but they were a little on expensive side. This place had better prices compared to others.

I sat outside on the sun and felt the ocean breeze. It was a perfect day! However, my lunch experience nearly ruined it. I ordered Margarita and chicken quesadia. The server was an East Indian woman and she was quite pleasant. The service was good. But I can't say the same about the food... I had to search for chicken under tons of cheese in the quesadia. It was pretty BAD. Margarita was ok. I asked for salsa. And was told that the one on the table was the only one they had. I tasted it and almost spitted it out. It was like water; it was bad.

I also wintnessed 2 other customers complaining to the server about their food they were unhappy with. I decided not to complain but rather NEVER GO BACK to that place again and tell all my friends do the same.

I guess they decided to close at 9PM on a Friday night instead of their posted 10PM.

Officially, I hate this place, and until I sat down, did I realize my last experience here 2 years ago sucked.

So, a lot of my family is originally from the Alki Beach area from the 50's, 60's and 70's, and all left during the 80's as West Seattle began to go downhill.

Every time that side of my family is in town, they want to reminice about Alki Beach...being that Cactus had a 1 hour wait, we went for a walk, and stumbled upon this horrific dive.

1. The manager and server was rude. Was noticeably annoyed as we walked in at 8:45PM. I asked, "Are you open?"

There was another couple that was finishing up...

The Mexican music was almost comical, since the owner and server, being Middle Eastern, were severely mad that my visiting guests took over 15 minutes to order. My thoughts: who cares?

2. Food: sucked. How do you make bad beans and rice? (I think they were just old, from sitting out all day).

3. Service: bad. really bad. 9:15, the music gets turned off, and we are getting rushed out. Why in the world did I tip 20%? I don't know. I'm still annoyed with this place, and it's 2 days later.

I did not have to spend $60.00 at their venue. Nor did they realize that their horrific attitude and service really impacts people's lives. Especially out of town guests.

Last night, I went to Cactus in Kirkland with 10 close friends...they closed at 11PM, and we left at 12AM - but were treated with courtesy, respect and received excellence in service, not to mention they're food is consistently good.

So, do not go to Casa Feliz. HORRIBLE SERVICE, GARBAGE FOOD, and RUDE STAFF.

Yes, I am yelling, because I'd rather the city of Seattle save money then supporting this business that needs to go OUI guess they decided to close at 9PM on a Friday night instead of their posted 10PM.

Pros: Location

Cons: Your worst nightmare of service and food.

On our last family outing to Alki Beach my family and I ate at Casa Feliz Mexican Grill. The sign in the front said "Best Margaritas on Alki". My husband said its true...it was definately the best Margarita he has tasted. From the time we were seated until we left we had a wonderful and fun time. The waitress was really friendly and made sure we were served nice warm crisp chips and salsa right away. Our drinks came soon after. We ordered several different dishes from the menu. I had a cheese quesadilla with a side rice and beans of and my husband ordered a chicken burrito which was pretty big and filling. Everything tasted so authentic. I made sure to tell the new owner how pleased we were.
This is definately a place for great food and drinks with family and/or friends. We spend alot time on Alki during summertime and will definately eat here again.

I have been to Casa Feliz a few times last summer and I had a pretty good experience. However, this year I went with a friend on Cinco De Mayo and it was the worst experience ever. When we got there we were given the chips and salsa, my friend had ordered a glass of water which never came, about 10 minutes later we had to ask another waitress for the water. Another 10 minutes later the waitress came over to finally take our order. We both had ordered margaritas, which of course as well never came. We were half way through our meal, when they finally showed up and they were pretty much the worst margaritas. My glass was half full of foam, and both of ours were super watery when we had ordered them blended. At the end of the meal our waitress noticed that our margaritas were untouched and asked if everything was ok and we told her how we weren't satisfied and we didn't want to pay for them since we each took one sip. UM YEAH the owner came over and started arguing with me about how nothing was wrong with the margaritas, she's served 50 of them that day and hadn't gotten any returns, and it's not her fault that we didn't like them. My friend and I tried to explain to her that we weren't going to pay for foam and if we were trying to jip them of money we would've have drank the whole thing and complained. But she was incredibly rude, and defensive, and obviously doesn't know how to take care of her customers. I will never go there again.

Pros: the patio. and the live band.

Cons: service, drinks, super long wait...BAD OWNER.

The place reminds of authentic mexico, with all the mexican decoration, the view toward the beach and the music..This place is just for relaxation-you don't have to be dressed up, it's casual, everyday, stop-for-a-bite type of place. The food is good, but the place doesn't really look that clean.Anyway- the reason I'm writing the review is the margaritas-they make them from scratch and they're delicious,a lot better that what they offer down the alki strip in other mex restaurants.
The parking is on your own and in bussy summer it might be kind of a hussle.Otherwise- you should have a drink on the patio.
