I took my backpack blower in for repair on Dec 17, 2014. I went in today (March 16, 2015) 3 months later and it still wasn't done. They told me a story of how they have had to wait on parts. I got upset and said 3 months was unreasonable.

I have read over 30 reviews on a plus power equipement and all of them are horrible. How is this guy still in business? I worked for him for a few months and OMG that was the absolute worst job experience I've ever had in the over 20 years

This business should be avoided at all costs! They have no customer service skills and their mechanical skills are extremely limited. Their idea of repair or maintenance work is to replace everything that they can disassemble.

In all my years I have never come across a company like this. The owner is so rude and has no business ethics. We dropped off power equiptment almost two months ago and have called numerous times to check on it and they keep saying it

We took our push mower into get a pin replaced that holds the blade on. We had them give it a tune up also. It took them 10 days to do this and they never once called to say it was done. We had to stop there and ask them where it was. They found it in the back.

We got it home and mowed with it. It started and ran but we noticed it struggled a little while mowing and had a little grey smoke coming out of it. We thought it might just need to get warmed up. The 2nd time we took it out to mow with it had trouble starting and could hardly cut at all. It kept wanting to die and it was smoking more. After about 20 min of this it died and would not start at all.

I took it in on a Monday and was told someone would look at it and call me. I waited 24 hours and after no call I called them. They said they would talk to person working on it and call me back. I waited 3 hours and called them back. They said the guy had left and I should call back around noon the next day. I called Tuesday at noon and was told they were still working on it and give them an hour and they would call me back. I asked them why they were working on it if they hadnt told me what was wrong and how much it would cost. They told me it might not cost me anything and they would call me back.

I waited until 4 and had my husband call them. They told him they were still working on it and they would call him in an hour. At 5:55 he called them and they told him there wasnt anyone in there shop and they would call him by 9:30 am on Thursday. At 10 am Thursday morning My husband called back and they said mower was done. They still had not said what was wrong with it.

I got there at 12:30pm to pick it up and Jerry comes out from the back and said you tipped it over and ruined the motor! I told him I had not done that and he said yes you did. there is only one reason the motor would go bad and that is if you tip it on its side. I again told him i had not done that. He said well the motor was bad so being kind he wanted to do us a favor and had replaced it with a older motor he had out back. And that he would not charge me for it but i should pay him $60.00 for half the labor. And was then told the mower still wasnt done and i had to come back in an hour.

I asked him why no one called me and told me motor was bad and why would you replace a motor that I was told cost $200.00 if I had ruined it? He said he was trying to help me. We have been in his shop 1 time and he said it took so long because he was so busy but yet he would replace my motor with a $200.00 one just to help me? I don't think so.

I believe they did something to my mower and then tried to cover it up with blaming me. I had to pay them the $60.00 to get it back.

They have terrible customer service and I would not recommend to anyone.

Well when I read Ryker's comments I felt like it was my husband writing the review as we had the same results just recently. However we did finally get our mower back after 6 weeks...and fixed at that, but at double the price we were quoted. Same circumstances, confrontations...the owner actually walked away from me when I was talking to him...I was just telling him the black mold that is growing in his lobby/check out area is unsafe for him and his employee's. Said he bought it that way......so you not gonna fix it? Everytime we went in to pick it up we got the run around.........price was higher than quoted......never returned calls like they said they would. Spend the money and go somewhere else unless you don't care!

On March 30, 2010 we took our mower into A Plus Power Equipment in the 5 corners area in Vancouver, and were told that it would take 2 weeks to fix. Two weeks later I called and was told that our mower hadn't been touched but it was next in line. I called three days later and was told that the mower hadn't been fixed because they were working on chainsaws. After 3 weeks I called again and was told they were very busy and would try to get to the mower. Three and a half weeks had now passed and I called again. I asked to speak to the owner, Jerry Woll, and I ask him if the mower was ready. He checked and said that they hadn't touched it and when I asked why he said he didn't know. He asked me if my mower was a Honda mower or just a mower with a Honda engine. I thought that odd because they had marked the mower and given us a claim slip. I asked why their business was so unorganized and unreliable. At that point Jerry Woll, the owner, said G_d dammit and said he was looking for the mower. I told him my wife was coming down to pick up the mower and told Jerry I wanted him to find it and then to call me with an explanation for the unprofessional debacle. He never called. When my wife went to pick up the mower he was AWOL, and she was told they had decided not to work on our mower. So after three and one half weeks we still have a broken mower. Don't go here, find another source unless you like waiting and repeatedly receiving different answers as to why your mower isn't being fixed and then have the owner cuss because of his incompetence. This isn't an A plus operation, it's an F-

About May 15, 2008 I took my pressure washer in to have the pump replaced with a
quoted cost of $220 installed. When I finally picked the pressure washer up I
was told the charge was $332. I said that can't be right, I was quoted $220. I
was told me they had a hard time getting my pump off and so there was extra
labor. I asked that Jerry call me when he returned, then left.

I called again the next day, and Jerry was with a customer. I again asked that
he call me, leaving both home and mobile numbers. The next day I still had not
heard from Jerry so I called during business hours and got the answering machine
again requesting that Jerry call me. The next morning I called and Jerry
answered. I explained that I was not happy with the $332, and that we had
talked several times, and I was even in the shop and he never mentioned anything
about additional costs. I suggested that if he would not honor his price that
he removes his pump and put mine back on. He told me I would have to pay the
labor to have that done, at which I told him I could not agree. After a bit
more banter, the line went dead.

Giving Jerry the benefit of the doubt that he did not hang up on me, I called
back and the phone rang endlessly, not even an answering machine. From a
different phone I called and Jerry answered right away. We continued to banter
about the additional costs, ethics and good business practices, and that he had
ample opportunity and obligation to notify me of additional charges before I
picked the unit up. He told me he would pull his pump off since he needed it
for another customer, but could not reinstall mine because it was in a box in
pieces and that we could just part ways. I told him that he could either do
that or just honor the original quote. He chose remove his pump and leave me
with a useless engine and a pile of junk.
