Just this last summer I went to the Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival were they had both the lighthouse and the other two smallier near by accompanying house open for viewing. And inside these houses were stored historical information about the Mukilteo Beach and its in's and out's that dated back centuries ago! The sites and preserved parts were interesting and a site to see...all I kept saying was Wow! Wow!. :) The staff there will gladly take you on a tour of the lighthouse and be happy to enlighten your brain with some facts about the lighthouse itself...I remember them saying something about the number of times the bulb in the light rotates means something to the people out in the water on boats and such. Also, the lighthouse will serene if an emergency were to take place as a precautionary feature warning the people both in-land and out on the water! It is free but donations are greatly appreciated to help with the upkeep of the lighthouse. :)
