Great customer service, competitive prices, and excellent service. When my car was stolen and my rims were taken from it, I had the car towed to Elliott Tire and they helped me out 100%. They even swapped rims and tires off a second car I had for free. I will definitely be back!
I came here because my tires were practically bald and I was afraid with winter coming that they would not hold up. I put off coming because I thought getting new tires was going to be too expensive. That was not the case at all. I should have come sooner! This place was great and the guys were so helpful. It was not expensive and my car is SO much safer now. Thanks!
I myself have been a customer with most of the Elliott Tire & Service Centers and I must say I have ALWAYS been completely satisfied! Some customers are to arrogant to actually take the time to understand why their car is in need of repair. The staff at Elliott have always taken the time to actually show me and confirm what is wrong with my car. I have had doubts at a time or two so therefor I have had a second opinion done as well. Thus showing me that they were not lying to me and actually quite knowledgeable in their repairs. I have worked with Ben on my vehicles now for approximately 7 years and have never had a problem with the cost or the repairs. Thus I have also shopped other repair facilities and found that they were real close in price of the repairs. If your not willing to understand why the car needs to be fixed then you will not understand why the are being recommended to you. I have some knowledge of vehicle repairs and have more knowledge now by working with Ben and his staff at Elliott Tire in Ballard. So my hats off to you Ben thank you for ALL of your help in allowing me to be more knowledgeable about vehicle repair in general. As well as maintaining my vehicle and keeping it maintained so that there are no big surprises when my vehicles do need repair.

I had a slow leak in one of my tires, and I kept ignoring it because I kind of hated my car. Anyway, after a time-wasting trip to Pep-Boys where the guy seemed pretty clueless, I decided to try Elliott Tires and it was way cheaper and faster.

This place is pretty amazing. I rolled over a bolt coming home one day, didn't realize it, and parked. Next morning when I am getting ready to run some errands, I realize my front tire is totally deflated. So sad. I called my brother, he comes over to help me put the spare on. I think I am going to need to go to the Toyota dealership and pay 100 bucks for a new tire when he tells me, "No, fool, lets just go to the tire shop, they can patch it for cheap!"

Charged me over $600 to install a starter and battery cable, left my car dirty after the work. When I picked up the car and drove home it stalled at every stop light. Was bad mouthed by the mechanic when I brought the car back, obviously a mechanic for bicycles, as the manager test drove the car and ran fine after it stalled on him, said the electronics just needed to reset themselves. Why wasn't this done before I picked up the car, maybe only the manager knows about cars.
Pros: none
Cons: High Prices, Sloppy Work
I am writing this review on my mothers behalf. This place is as bad as it gets. She took her van into this auto center because of a dead battery and alternator. They came back with a list of so called critical items including an engine rebuild, new radiator and water pump. My mother is not car savy to say the least. Over $4,000+ billed and 2 weeks later, she still does not have her van. The manager keeps giving excuses on why the work isn't complete and adds new problems to the list. The latest explanation is that they screwed up on the rebuild and have no idea when it will be ready. I am helping her file a complaint with the BBB and city attorney general. I would strongly discourage anyone from brining their vehicles here for repair.
I dropped my Jeep Grand Cherokee in for a full service and to have a flat tire repaired. $3,000 later my car much worse than when I brought it in.
The day after I picked it up the engine light came on and I had to drop it back in. They basically ruined my car. I went back multiple times to have them repair fix what they had broken, they denied everything - even when my brand new tire blew out on the freeway a couple of weeks later. I couldn't even use my jack to get a new tire on because of the shocks they had installed. I had to call AAA.
I'm not one to write reviews and all, but I signed up especially because of the horrific experience I had here. I'm hoping that by writing this review I can contribute to putting these guys out of business and preventing others from getting ripped off.
After many visits and even threats of legal action, I brought my car to Les Schwab on 4th Ave S. Those guys rock! They fixed everything!
Pros: None
Cons: Total rip off and ruined my car
I brought in my 04 Jeep Cherokee for routine maintenance. They performed the maintenance I had requested stating there were a few other minor things that needed to be done which I agreed to. They then called me back saying that as they were completing this work they took of my brakes and that they needed to be replaced, they also told me that my rear axle was defective, my tires needed to be replaced and I needed transmission work. I began to question them because I knew for a fact my tires were in good shape so I told them I did not want any of the work done and that I wanted to get another estimate. When I went to pick up my car they said that as they took of my rear brakes they broke and my car was undriveable unless they were fixed immediately. I was pretty sure I had just been ripped off but this was confirmed when I took the list of repairs that they said were necessary to a more reputable repair shop and this shop went through the list one by one confirming my suspicion that NONE of those things were needed or even recommended.
Pros: None
Cons: Con Artists/thieves
I took my car to Elliot Tire when I discovered my tire had a nail in it. It did not take long for them to tell me that my tire was not fixable and that I needed to replace all of my tires. This did not surprise me entirely because I new my tires where getting old. I was surprised that he told me all four of the tires needed to be replaced since I had replaced one of the tires less then six months ago. Then I felt very pressured to buy the more expensive tires for my car, and could not get the gentleman to understand that I could not afford those tires at the time. He then kept pressuring me to apply for credit through them for the tires. I was not going to do that. I finally convinced him I would only pay for the less expensive ones and they went ahead and put them on. When the work was done he came out with nearly $1500 worth of work that he claimed my car needed including a new manifold gasket and belt which I had just had replaced by a very reputable and highly recommended shop. I right away felt I was being targeted because I was a female. When I I told him I had had that work done less them two months ago he told me not to get mad at him his is just doing his job, and he thinks I need to take my car back to the shop that originally did the work and have them look at it. I might do that just to be safe, but I truly believe the work was done correctly and that he was just trying to get more money out of me. I left there very angry and really uncomfortable. I would never go back there.
Pros: None
Cons: Rip off, rude,
I have never been so incredibly bullied and condescended to in my life. I went in for an oil change because I received a coupon in the mail. I witnessed the other single woman in the lobby also be bullied into purchasing unnecessary parts and labor. Then I was presented with an entire list of repairs needed on my 3 year old very reliable car. I have since found out that most of the repairs they deemed as necessary for the safety of the car are not in fact needed at all. I was told at the register that the clerk was glad I am moving to another state because in my car's current condition it poses a threat to him and his family. And then he told me I should drive through Vegas on my way to California because I sound like a gambling woman to him. This is a horrible, immoral way to manipulate customers. After this I am reporting them. I sincerely hope they get shut down so they can not take advantage of less knowledgeable people.
I took my car to Elliot Tires to get a 60,000 service check-up after receiving a promotional coupon from them in the mail. It turned out that the discounts on the coupon didn't "apply" to my car - so I ended up paying the original price for the service. On top of that, they recommended a laundry list of repairs that needed to be made to my car in addition to the repairs included in the 60,000 mile service, regardless of the fact that my car is only a 2003. I decided to get a majority of the repairs done, trusting their judgement. The day after I picked up my car, the "Check Engine" light came on (after $1700 in repairs!). I took it back, and they told me that my O2 sensor needed to be replaced, even though I had the exact same part replaced 1 year ago by my dealer. Wary, I took it to my dealer, who told me that Elliot misdiagnosed my car and it was in fact, the Catalytic Converter that needed replacement. Not only that, but my belts, which were replaced by Elliot, were not adjusted correctly, so I had to take it back a THIRD time. Needless to say, I will never take it back to Elliot Tires and feel like I was completely taken advantage of.
Pros: Parking
Cons: bad service, horrible repair jobs
