Not only was I completely ignored, but I couldn't get my coffee without asking FOUR times after I finally waited for a dirty side of a table. They weren't busy with customers, but they were very busy talking amongst themselves about their lives and what was on TV last night! All the while I waited to be noticed upon entry. My 4th attempt to see what happened to my coffee, I am told, excuse me, I was yelled at, "You help yourself to the coffee!" My next question was, of course, where? The food was mediocre and the coffee was cold in an almost empty urn. They gave me NO service and had the gall to be upset when I left NO tip. HA! You can also clean the table that was dirty when I sat my self!

Belle Epicurean is another one of those delicious places we're blessed to have in Seattle, that you'll only want to go there for a splurge. They change their menu according to season, and their latest mind blowing creation is the sweet potatoe brioche bun. One bit and you'll be in culinary heaven. Everything they make is a delight for the senses; maybe not for your waistline, but I just go for an extra round of cardio to justify it. They're that good.

A great coffee and pastry cafe. Trying to find a high quality independent coffee shop downtown can be tricky at times. You are surrounded by a Starbucks everywhere you turn - and many of the other coffee shops think that a mocha must consist of 1/4 cup low quality chocolate syrup - yuck.

Belle's coffee is delicious - whether I order a drip, Americano or a mocha. Their food is delicious and the staff has been just as courteous, prompt, repsectful and pleasant whether I order a $2 drip or a $4 mocha with a lunch and pastry to take away.

Whenever I am in the area and need a coffee I head over to Belle's.

i used to work down the hall from this cafe. they have AMAZING cookies, rum balsz, cakes, other goodies... they are a bit pricey and their workers are not always the friendlies however. they also offer french coffee drinks, pelligrino, coke, teas. I used to LOVE their veggie pannini, but they took it off their menu :-(

Oh, their ham and cheese sandwich is pretty good, but their baggett bread is awfully tough to bite through. They make cakes too,I had inquired about their wedding cakes (and viewed their pictures), but didn't get a reply from the owner who makes them.

Pros: best treats around!

Cons: pricey, workers don't seem happy to be there
