We love this campground because it's one hour from our doorstep to setting up the tent. There are several campsite loops, however, due to wind storm damage in 09 several were closed for hazardous tree removal this year. Curious to see what is left next season. Each site has a picnic table and a campfire pit with large grate. Most sites are large and have room for two vehicles (charge for extra vehicle) and some have room enough for one medium/large tent. One loop has double-family sites. Some sites require reservations, but most sites are first-come-first-get. Weekends usually fill during the summer, but if you arrive before mid-morning on Friday there are usually spots. Flush toilets. Potable water near sites. Lake level depends on how dry the summer is. Starts high, but could get low as summer goes on. Lake beach is rocky. Stumps in lake. There is a great hike that puts you on top of a ridge that overlooks both Big and Little Kachess. Fun to hear and see flyers from Whidbey Island naval base cruising through the canyon. Some so close you can see the pilot! Camp hosts patrol the area regularly.

Only a little of an hour away from Bellevue. This is one of our favorite camp spots. Maybe because it's so close. Tent and Rv spots. Some reservations taken. Flush toilets but no hookups or electricity. If you hear something loud coming just look up and you might see airforce training planes buzz by. Now that is really awesome!
