I first went to this spa for a facial which was great, and then returned a few months later with a friend to each enjoy a 60-minute massage.

After I explained my trouble spot to Ty, he focused the massage treatment on both my S-I joint and my mid- and upper-back. He said before starting that he would listen to my body and it would tell me where/how he should work. And he really listened - both to what I told him verbally, and to what I neglected to warn him about: the muscles along my spine, running the length of my back were very tight - as is common for me. Where many massage therapists have skimmed over the tightness in my spinal muscles, Ty dedicated a good deal of energy into working the muscles until they released much of the tension. He then went another step; giving me a hip stretch that was well beyond the limits I can stretch myself. He really took the time to focus on where I needed him to focus and I left feeling much looser, and all around less tense.

The atmosphere and energy of the spa were nice, too. The paint colors in the entry set the mood; the music was calming, without being too "new-agey". Ty did a nice job of checking in with me to validate the level of pressure he used was OK, while still keeping quiet enough that I could relax. He quietly asked me periodically to breathe deeply into pressure in some spots, rather than doing the loud breathing that I've experienced with some massage therapists when they want you to breathe deeply.

I would definitely go back to Ty again - we talked about trying the cupping treatment for my S-I joint, which I will likely try in the future.

Pros: therapist cares about what you need - not one-size-fits-all

my friend treated me to a full body massage here. it was simply amazing. i was so relaxed all day i could fall asleep standing up. the bed is so warm and comfy with heavy sheets and everything smells wonderful. ty ended my visit with cold bottled water and chocolate. <3 he caters the massage to whatever you need and their prices are reasonable. i will definitely be back with a couple more friends!

Pros: very relaxing, very cute, great attention by ty

Cons: a little small, difficult for friends to go together

I had the 60 minute facial for $75. Wow! The facial was better than Habitude's and I'm a huge fan of them. The products are high end organic and I did not want the experience to end. It's in a little old house where they've created a great atmosphere. My skin was glowing and was not blotchy when I walked out. Highly recommend it!

Cons: It's not a full spa with a sauna, shower, etc.

being my first time going to a day spa, i didnt know what to expect and was slightly nervous. would the things they used on my face have a bad reaction? would it be an awkward experience? well right when i walked in the door my mother and i were greeted by two friendly faces, immediatly making us feel comfortable in the relaxing enviornment! they asked if they could get us anything to drink and we filled out some forms providing health information and anything else we thought they should know. we each followed them into a well lit room with soothing music and a calming scent, where there was a comfortable bed to lie down on. the bed had fuzzy blankets, making the experience even more enjoyable :) whenever he was about to apply a mask on my face, he talked me through what the ORGANIC ingredients would do for my personal complexion. after about 4 or 5 different masks were applied and removed, the already amazing facial was followed by an arm, hand, shoulder and neck massage. Seattle Art of Wellness could not have been more perfect, from the fantastic service, to the clear effectivness of their procedures.

What a lovely gem of a spa for Seattle! A knowledgeable, genuinely warm and professional staff greets you in a comforting home-like environment that is cozy, clean and calming. The products used are organic offering delicious natural aromas that enhance the nurturing and respectful facial and massage experience. I highly recommend the skilled staff and the imported organic product line. I'll definitely make another appointment!

A relaxing environment, friendly and professional people, the purest and yummiest skin products, and a great facial. I've had some skin problems and after getting just 1 facial, my skin could breathe and shine again. I will definitely go back for more.

Pros: easy parking, no waiting, ambience

Cons: the restroom (shared by other business I think) had strong synthetic soaps/fragrances that aren't healthy for any living beings!

I went into the spa expecting something along the lines of a school, considering the location and the prices. However I was very surprised to find an extremely relaxing and comfortable atmosphere, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful; willing to explain what they were doing and why, while also leaving me alone to my mental solitude when I wanted it. The facial was wonderful and my skin felt and looked amazing. I will happily go back as soon as I can.

Tyrone gave me the best facial that I have ever had with a wonderful scalp, foot, hand & arm massage that I did not realize I needed. I have had many ranging from the corner beauty salon to prestigious hotel spas with Seattle Art of Wellness on the top of my list.

I found SAW through the Internet while I was searching for a paraben-free eye make up remover. I called and spoke with Tyrone who was pleasant and helpful something not many salons do over the phone or in person. I stopped by later that day and was introduced to the amazing Eminence Organic Skin Care line and with a brief talk not sales-pitch Tyrone provided free samples.

My second experience with Tyrone and SAW was a 90-minute facial yesterday that has left me speechless, well, almost. My skin, which is sensitive and highly active was not pink or flushed after like most, if not all of my previous facials. And the morning after, my face is absolutely lovely. Again, he provided me with free samples tailored to me. My skin felt and looked so great, so different than when I walked in that I might have bought anything he suggested and wanted to come back every day.

The space in the building is a bit of a quirky location, but it works and I love the saris hanging from the ceiling. There always seems to be pleanty of parking.

I cannot thank Tyrone and SAW enough!

P.S. I am neither friend nor family, but an astonished spa-goer who can barely wait 2-weeks until my next facial.

I had a wonderful massage from Andrew! He got to areas that I had no idea existed. I later booked a facial with Tyrone and was amazed to see the results...of course I have never had a facial before but I think this is something I will do on a monthly basiss. I didn't feel any pressure to purchase any items and Tyrone gave me samples to try at home which have sold me on their products!

This is an excellent spa with great people and great service. Whether its been a simple need to relax, or for a softball playoff game the next day, they have worked miracles for me several times. I highly recommend Tyrone and their awesome staff. Thanks again!

Pros: people, atmosphere, professionalism and ability

I found the spa to have a very relaxing atmosphere. I enjoyed the decor and thought the saris on the ceiling were a nice, clever touch. My Esthetician, Rachel, was a doll.

This spa is ridiculous. It's impossible to relax in a place with bright mustard yellow walls. The esthetics room is painted in a dark, cold purple and has Indian Sari's billowing from the ceiling. The fear of having something fall on you when you are laying in such a vulnerable situation absolutely does NOT lend itself to a relaxing, wellness centered experience. The reviews posted are obviously family and friends, and maybe themselves. Very odd, bad feng shui decor. Massages are no better than anywhere else in the area, and the facials are mediocre.

My husband had a facial and massage with Tyrone. It was a special treatment from me for his birthday. I didnt really know what to expect but I was hoping that Seattle Art of Wellness would be worth at least a half of all the good things I heard about this place. but it actually turned out to be much better than what I was hoping for! Tyrone was simply amazing. Very professional, very courteous, very friendly. He did fantastic! Even though my husband is 6'4 and has a very muscular bodybuilt, Tyrone worked his every knot and made his stress completely go away. My husband and I both travelled a lot around the world and no doubt that Tyrone is the best massage therapist we ever had. I do highly recommend him and his place. Right now it kinda might be difficult to get a hold of them as they dont have a receptionist yet but my advice would be to keep trying. Trust me, you wont regret!!! thanks Tyrone, you are super! definitely, we will see you again.

Walking into Seattle Art of Wellness, I knew I had come to a healing place. I relaxed instantly with the soft music and fountains, and everyone there had amazing energy. My massage with Tyrone was even better than I had hoped. He knew exactly where my tight spots were and how much pressure to use. It's been a few days since his massage and I still feel great- like a stress cloud has been lifted off my shoulders! Thanks Tyrone!

Seattle Art of Wellness as exactly what I was looking for to ease the stress in my neck, shoulders and back. The location, price and relaxing atmosphere was perfect for me. The added bonus was the massage therapist. Laura was great. After listening to my concerns and areas I felt needed concentration, she went to work applying the right amount of pressure and releasing those nasty knots in my shoulders! Laura is a true professional who cares about a persons well being. She worked her schedule around mine so I could have a massage before a hectic week of business travel. I definitely found the best massage therapist in Seattle.and the chocolate truffle, perfect ending to a perfect session! Check out the Seattle Art of Wellness for yourself and ask for Laura. Youll be glad you did.

An incredibly beautiful space to go to relax. They offer lots of amazing services and pay special attention to detail. I received a massage from Laura Wood and was very impressed. She paid special attention to where I was hurting most and put some real effort into a successfully thereapeutic massage. Very professional, warm, inviting and responsive to clients needs. Exactly what was needed to get me back in the swing of things. Thanks Laura! I will see you again soon.

My experience at Seattle Art of Wellness was delightful. The attention to detail, both in the space itself, and during the massage, truly made me feel as though my business was appreciated. Laura Wood is a highly talented massage therapist who genuinely listened to me and was able to provide the perfect amount of pressure to relax my messed up back! And the little details she provides, like a steamed warm towel, and even a chocolate truffle afterwards, make for an all around great experience. I will definitely be back.

Highly professional skilled personnel, super-friendly, good prices, great service, convenient hours, beautiful and relaxing setup plus calming music.
I've had a lot of massages at spas, thermal centers and similar salons, but this place is unique for several reasons. Andrew and Tyrone are the best massage therapists you can get. Rom is my favorite aesthetician ever! If you are looking for an unforgettable treat this is the place to go!!
Believe me, your body and your soul get a special treat here! "I will be back whenever possible!"
