My three kids and I love sitting at the counter watching the chefs grill our food. It's fun to see how our amazing grilled cheese sandwiches are made to perfection.

This usually isn't the kind of food I opt for, but the quality is great and the food is cheap. I highly recommend the breakfast!

This place will definetely draw in the kids, nothing will excite them than a train car. A great place to grab a breakfast on a Saturday morning, but be prepared for a wait. They have good food and good times.

I love Franks Diner for their food, breakfast all day is always great, and for their setting. You board the stationary train for a great meal with great service! There is usually a wait but it's 100% worth it! Two thumbs up!

An old railroad dinning car is the setting for this little cafe in near downtown Spokane. The menu is right out of that era and just as good! The Chicken Fried Steak and their homemade Pot Roast are superb. there is a counter right in front of the cooking area you can talk to the cooks & watch your food preparation. The breakfast is one of the best in Spokane. Be sure to stop here when you are in Spokane WA.

Frank's has really great food; the waffles are fluffy, the hot chocolate is piled high with whipped cream and tiny chocolate chips, and the BLT on sourdough is probably the best I've ever had. Nothing I tried here was heavy and greasy but beware the portion sizes are pretty big. If you're a light eater you may want a half order. Early in the morning is especially busy and you should expect a line for a booth and even seats at the counter but in the afternoon it slows down a bit and you can easily get a table right away.

Pros: Food, Service, Clean, wheelchair access

Cons: Cramped parking

Franks is the perfect place on Sunday morning, if youre craving huckleberry pancakes and massive omelets. There can be a wait and its somewhat chaotic in the little train car, but the staff in the open kitchen has a great sense of humor and the food is great!

The old pullman car keeps getting voted "best breakfast in spokane" by readers of the Inlander, and for good reason. Since it's an old railroad car, seating is tight. Since the food is better than average it's also crowded and not the cheapest place downtown. But if it's a Sunday late morning and you've got a hollow leg, Frank's is THE place to shovel down a large omlette with a plate full of fresh hashbrowns smothered in sausage gravy.
