Mixed Reaction

by Suzi C.

The multi-culture theology is great, but there is no warmth in the congregation. No one came up or spoke to me as a newcomer. I saw a bunch of "individuals" not a strong community of worshipers - seemed unorganized. The message is short and not much meat of the scripture included. There is no choir for such a large church and more of a very loud performing rock group than music people understand and can worship/sing to. All in all I will have to pray if this is the right place for my spiritual growth.

Bible Teaching Church

by Linda H.

Antioch offers encouragement, straight up bible teaching and family-like friendliness. The "red and yellow, black and white" approach offers such a richness to your worship it's hard to describe, you have to experience it to believe it.

Multi Cultural

by Gerald L.

The first thing you notice about Antioch Bible Church is the different colors of skin. It is definitely a place where everyone is comfortable, the music fresh and inviting, and the Bible is taught from a very entertaining Ken Hutcherson, formal football player.

Pretty good messages. Strong on adoption

by KC P. | insider Insider | Rank: 27,968

Messages can be humorously appealing; pastor incorporates a lot of his own personal feelings. It definitely is a blended black and white church with adoption encouraged; and I think is made available. My husband and I never felt connected or understood where the messages were actually taking us in our lives. We eventually left and were led to more of the expository outlined depth of Bible teaching which became more of a building block method of remembrance and recall for our lives as well as output in sharing and personal growth.

Good theology, mixed methods

by Addie G. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 6,196

Antioch's slogan is "Black and White in a Gray World" and their big thing is all God's people getting over their issues and worshipping Him. The preaching pastor is animated, energetic and often hilarious, but his sermons are short and often only have one or two points. Antioch has a huge variety of ministries and Sunday school classes for both kids and adults. They also have a lot of outside activities and social causes they work toward such as free adoption and family values. After attending Antioch for about two years, my husband and I decided to move to another church, one that had more focus solely on the Bible rather than social morality.
