University Bookstore

The bookstore has four main sections, gifts and University of Washington paraphernalia, texts, school/office supplies and of course the non-text books. It is well stocked, and if they don't have the book, they will order it. It has a better book selection than most of the chain bookstores. They also have authors come in and read on occasion. Parking can be interesting. There is/was a parking lot, but there is some construction in the area too.

This book store has a huges selection of all kinds of books from children's books to text books to teaching books and books in all different subject areas. They also have a gift store that has anything Husky you can think of and cards etc. It's a great place to browse or buy.

When it comes to selection there's nothing like the University Bookstore. Especially when it comes to technical materials like math and computer books there's no comparison. I'm sure the same is true for other technical areas.

The only issue is that the prices are steep. Sometimes it's best to check out texts you're thinking about and then get then from Amazon, etc., or a used bookstore. On selection it can't be beat though.

I had to come here to get a book for school that I could find anywhere. The store is clean (not even dust) and the staff know where everything is. I had no problem getting exactly what I needed and more. A little spendy but what school or text book isn't?
