Our family enjoys eating at The Rock in Covington as it is super family friendly! If the kids are a little too loud, no one really hears since the restaurant itself is quite loud. The Rock offers take out which is also great (we especially loved this when just home from the hospital with baby #2). The variety of yummy pizza can't be beat, and their unique selection of their own beer is yummy too. The beer sampler is a great way to test out your faves and is reasonably priced. The pizza buffet during the week also can't be beat, with salad, pizza selections, and pasta. All in all, a delicious place for pizza!

This local pizza restaurant features a classic rock theme, both in the decor and the menu offerings. The restaurant makes you feel like a roady backstage at a rock concert, and the menu offers gourmet pizzas named for classic rock and other songs. I especially like the white sauce pizzas, but I haven't had a pizza I didn't like. Beer and other drinks are unique, too.

I love this pizza joint! They have a good variety of pizzas and the menu is fun. They have cool rock n' roll names for the different kinds of pizzas. There is a cool bar to hang out in if you want to meet up with friends. Or if you want to bring the kids, the restaurant part is kid friendly.

They have so many options for everyone, They have great drinks and food. The kids love the peanut butter and jelly pizza. I have to admit it is pretty good as well.

I am not a pizza connoisseur. In fact, if I can avoid having pizza, I will do everything I can to do so. I LOATHE company lunches because it's invariably pizza. I'm not wild about a lot of church gatherings because the food is either pizza or lasagna.

But the Rock has made me a convert. I will go out of my way to eat there. A friend of mine waited TWO HOURS to eat there on Father's Day. I'm not sure I'm that much of a die hard, but I regularly want to go there when I go out.

I recently celebrated my birthday with a large group of people and we went and hung out in the bar and sat down and had pizza. Fitting such a large group there is not the Rock's expertise, but they managed well enough. It's more about the spacing than anything else. They have a fantastic balcony and should consider making that their "party" area and use it to reserve spots for parties of 8 or larger.

Anyway, the ambiance is really cool - all rock n' roll themed based on classic rock albums/songs. The music is all classic rock, the food is named after classic rock. They are very successful with their theme. The menus, wait staff outfits, the lighting, the decor, it all works well together. The decorations are largely exposed brick and pipe, amp cabs make up a lot of the storage area for dishes and I've even seen a guy with a mohawk flinging pies.

I've eaten there three times and have sampled many of the pizzas (nice benefit of going with a large group) and they're all very good. Bonus points to the Rock for making a pizza that wraps up the experience of ordering a basket of hot wings into a pizza. My personal favorite, however, is called the Crazy Train. A nice, spicy, flavorful combinations of flavors with pepperoni, spicy sausage, garlic, spicy chiles, etc. Not overpowering at all.

And I can't recommend the beer-battered onion rings highly enough as an appetizer. Tempting to just pound those down with a few pints instead of moving on to the pizza at all. ;)

Pros: Great food, fun atmosphere, good brews

Cons: Don't handle groups 8 or more very well when they're busy, no reservations for large groups
