The food is tasty, tasty, tasty. The Hot Iron is clean, but they need more waitstaff. Perhaps, someone could be stationed at the register and only help when no one is in line to pay. On the day we were there, there was no garlic sauce left and the chefs refused to put any on while cooking. I'm not sure why the prep cook doesn't stock the meat/veg bar instead of the over extended waitstaff. They do have a wide variety of veggies, meat and tofu to use in your dish, however. If you go when the are busy, be prepared to wait around the "hot iron" while the chefs prepare your dish. They have a great variety of sauces to put on your dishes after it has been cooked, so you can control the amount. Do not pass up the frozen yogurt, it is to die for! They give you a small sample with your fortune cookies. I will go back, however, because the aroma wafting in the air is too strong to deny! Maybe they will have more waitstaff & keep the bar better stocked on my next visit.

This strip mall mongolian grill is located in the mill creek towne center, which can be a nice place to grab a meal and do some shopping. Its hard to find all you can eat mongolian grills lately and since I am a pig and like to enjoy at least 3 heaping bowls full, I love this one. What's nice about Hot Iron is they let you chose if you are feeling piggish or not, you can get small bowls which are all you can eat for one price, or a large bowl which just includes one trip but allows you to take the leftovers to go for another. I also really like that they have tofu and black olives which is something you don't find at many mongolian grills. They also have a neat sauce bar where you can chose to cover your mongolian grill with a variety of sauces after its cooked.

I go here a lot on my way home to pick up food for my family. You can go online and get a buy one get one half price coupon. I get 2 to go and it feeds my entire family. The place is really clean and modern looking. Nothing makes my stomach cringe more than getting food from a dirty place. The staff is always nice and you get a choice of rice and sauce to take with you as well.

I love this place. I've had lunch here twice and both times I was impressed by the value. Both the small "all you can eat" bowl and the large "take home for later" bowl were $7.50 which I thought was a steal for how much you can get with it. Food was really good as well. They have a lot of food choices in the various groups and a lot of sauces you can pour on.

My husband and I tried this place for the first time a few months back (it was fairly new at the time) & hated it. Unlike most Mongolian Grills that keep the meat refrigerated behind the counter, they had it self-serve style. Problem was that it was getting all manhandled and mixed up with the veggies. We had to avoid the under-refrigerated, stray shrimp/pork chunks that had been accidentally dropped into the bean-sprouts. As a vegetarian, meaty vegetables are even more appealing. After forking over almost $50 for our 'Mongolian' goodness; my $1.75 worth of meatless (hopefully) rice and vegetables and his suspect chicken (plus two pops! don't forget the pops!) we weren't really that happy. No, more mad then happy. The place sucked. Maybe it's better now? I won't be going back to find out.

The Hot Iron tries to be a little more upscale than Chang's. You can choose what you want cooked up, and control the flavor going in. They have the normal meat choices, and lots of vegetables, and the chefs cook it up on the hot iron grill while you watch.

They are pricey, considering it isn't all you can eat, and the service is good.
