I liked the food and the atmosphere at the Flying Tomato, however my husband was not as impressed. Capresi is really good, a little pricy tho.

This is a family favorite for us. We go there often and always end up bringing extra home because the portions are so big. It is one of the best places to get Italian whether you want pizza or pasta. No higher recommendation.

The Flying Tomato, is a cute little place to eat. It doesn't have a large menu but what they have is good. The staff is very friendly. The place is clean and decorated by cute. Nice place to go out to dinner.

Honestly I wanted to like the Flying Tomato in the worst way, but I have yet to truly have a great meal there. I was thrilled to see an Italian restaurant (especially one that delivers) so close to home.

The decor in the restaurant has a warehouse feel to it; high ceiling, exposed pipes, etc. The tables are set with paper tablecloths you (or the kids) can color on. The waitstaff has always been friendly and attentive on our visits there.

The menu is fairly large (though pared down from its original size). They sell pastas, wood fired pizzas, and some sandwiches. The childrens menu is quite paltry.

Their portions are more than hearty, and I always end up with a to-go back after a visit. While this is normally a good thing, in the case of the Flying Tomato, the food just always seems to be less than it could be. In addition, prices are on the high side for family dining, especially considering the limited options on the children's menu.

All in all, I like the "theory" of the Flying Tomato, and I hope their food improves to match their fun decor, and their attentive waitstaff.
