.

Our almost-four-year-old has attended this wonderful school since she turned 2. She loves it and so do we.

The curriculum includes all the academic concepts that the children should be exposed to (reading readiness, numbers and math concepts, etc) but what makes this school special is the wide variety of arts-related activities the kids participate in on a daily basis - dancing, painting, guitar lessons, drumming, yoga, etc.

There is plenty of time to play as well. My daughter learns and most importantly has FUN! She is making friends and learning social skills too.

She comes home and shows off her dance and yoga moves (with great joy). They do science experiments like predicting whether objects will sink or float in a tub of water. They make music together on real instruments. The kids move to different rooms dedicated to different activities, unlike some preschools which keep the kids in one room all day long.

Last fall, the school moved into the former Woodway Elementary School in anticipation of expanding into the elementary grades in Fall 2010. The expansive grounds are completely surrounded by giant evergreen trees, with soccer fields out back, a playground, and a large paved area for playing ball and riding bikes. The kids build forts out of huge stumps and branches on the grounds.

I wish I could attend this school and spend the day being creative, learning, and playing with my friends. It truly amazes me what this school offers to my child, for a very reasonable cost, compared with other preschools or daycares in the area.
