So my girlfriend and I decided to check out the food in the new neighborhood. We thought we'd try out the Lake Union Grill, but noticed Mad Pizza next door. So to save a couple bucks, we decided on Mad Pizza.
It was during lunch and they had a decent meal deal. So I got 2 slices and a drink for something around $6 and my girlfriend just got a single and some water. They had an assortment of pizzas behind the glass under heat lamps. Not promising, but whatever. We both got a slice of peperoni, sausage, onion, and peppers. For my second slice I chose a chicken, red onion, and feta cheese. They took the slices out from under the lamps, and ran them through a small 'toaster oven' type of appliance like they would at a Quizno's. Of course the crust was very dry and hard the further you got into the slice. But at least the supreme style was somewhat appetizing. I had higher hopes for the chicken and feta. But it wasn't much better. Too many dried out toppings over hard stale crust. Still, it's not unlike anything you might order at your mall pizzaria.
The real kicker was the next day when I started getting sick every hour on the hour. My girlfriend and I ate exactly the same thing all day. Except for that chicken and feta pizza slice... I thought the feta tasted a bit strong.

Pros: The price matches the looks of the place. Service was friendly.

Cons: Not the best pizza. Fresh takeout might be better. Too afraid to try it, though.
