.

It starts off something like this.
First they trash your mailbox with vector invites for a interview promising a $14.25 for appointment. You then sign up the reception lady is really nice and their co mangers.

However I did some research a long history of $hitty stories about vector all over the USA. Go search it!

this review is not working as I planned I can't give you websites.. and use bad words. replace the word dot with a dot..

You go to this location, sign some paper work then a interview. They will automatically accept you then move on to a long ass group interview like 1 hour and 30 mins. I though it was a scam from the beginning! Chris says " we want it to stay professional please don't talk to the other people." but we talked people started walking out.. I saw knives and smiling poster.. initally though $hit I going to die! I decided to stay smart, don't give SS# or bank account #s nothing. I stayed to develop a hate and so I can write an accurate review. After that he decided to let me go on to the training.

Like one week later you have to go to the training program for 3 days hearing him ramble for day, about cutco this that.. and he basically tells his life story! 6 hours food less.

I think he's hella FAKE! like a totally con artist. He gets pissed off if you ask questions. My question was some what related to the slide " if we start selling cutco do we have to by any of this?" He basically gave a WTF face then told be to go talk to the co manger people in an angry tone. A day before that stating in beliefs in positive reforcement. hummm...

I'm glad I quit. If you want to piss him off to ask a few dumb questions. Wear something non professional, eat lots of garlic.

Yeah somebody say in this comment thing check out his facebook and I did. He has a lavish life style but, he will probably go to HELL!

If you like the knives I don't advise to support them! go buy it on E bay its like 1/2 the price. And they have there forever guarantee.

Conclusion the money 14.25 by appointment is not really worth it. You spend 37 hours of your summer in a hell hole. child labor?

I'm not ready to support a shitty company! I'm young and I have ethics.

Pros: cutco is a good knife.

Cons: about 36 hours of hearing Chris Gehring ramble about cutco.

Chris helped me make $7,000 in income last summer. He is a great coach. The "staff" helped me with more then just my sales. If they cashed your check it's because you didn't keep in contact with them while you were gone which is what is in your contract. What other job makes it so easy for you to work around your schedule that you check in once a day and talk to a manager for maybe five minutes unless you need help with something. I only went to three days of training as well, not two weeks. I gained more experience with Vector then I could've gained anywhere last summer. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

Pros: Work experience, Product is the best, Helpful and fun staff

I am not exaggerating in the slightest. I witnessed Chris Gehring tell a girl to miss her grandmothers funeral so that she could go to a ridiculous, day-long waste of time in White Center. We were going to sit in a room and be brainwashed about selling cutco for four or five hours, and this girl came in, obviously sad, and tried to tell Chris that she couldn't make it to his stupid thing.

Then I watched as Chris tried to explain to her that his knife symposium was more important to this girl than her grandmother, and that she had to come. It was the most shameless thing i've ever seen.

As the summer went on I endured further obvious lies from Chris and the rest of his "staff", and they finally did cash my check: you know, the one they aren't gonna cash. I went out of town for a week, I told him I'd be selling the stupid knives in montana while i was gone, and when i got back, my account was overdrafted because he had cashed the check. When I confronted him, he said it was because i'd left town.

Sleazzy, scammy, scuzzy, terrible, embarrassingly disgusting people to be around.

But, if you ever have the opportunity to buy Cutco from a salesperson you like, do it! They are great knives, and anyone selling them is going through absolute hell working for Vector.

Pros: The Cutco knives they try to peddle are really the best

Cons: They use horrible tactics and display zero ethical compass

hey recruit you!
Make you sit in all day unpaid training sessions with out breaks
Harrass you to make sales but don't pay you
Next step, contact Labor Board and a laywer

Ok, so this man named Chris Gehring tells my friend that he wants to hire him. So, in order to get hired, my friend must present Vector with a check for $147.00 as insurance for the knife demonstration kit. My friend did not have a check so Chris suggested that he used a friend's check and promised that it wouldn't be deposited. Well, my friend has been trying to make sales in this dwindling economy and was promised that he would be paid even for appointments, regardless if a sale was made. Ok, so my friend is homeless and has a daughter-but Chris refuses to sign his invoices that allow him to get paid and feed his daughter.I research him on facebook and find that he lives a lavish lifestyle while the employee is homeless and can't feed his daughter. Thanks Vector for refusing to pay a hard working man for his work (he had to use him own money for transportation and doesn't even get paid), thanks Vector for cashing the check that you promised you wouldn't cash even though you promised not to if the employee kept in contact. Thanks Vector for requiring your new recruits to spend two weeks in unpaid, no break training sessions that lasted all day. Vector is a waste of time and they obviosuly don't care about their hungry employees who bust their butts for them because they get to go out and party like a rich person. I am contacting L&I tomorrow and a lawyer. I'll see you all in court Vector!

Pros: Nothing-They recruit poor college students, don't pay them

Cons: The managers are rich and their workers don't get paid
