I was looking at trying to find a place that would cater a function for our group, so we went in to try their food.

The lunch time crowd is a little more subdued than most as it seems to be mostly hospital staff that comes to eat. A very pleasant atmosphere though with the fireplace going and the stylish lighting.

The special was a BBQ beef sandwich and side salad. Being a big fan of BBQ I gave it a shot. It was actually better than Longhorn BBQ, which I use as my guage to compare others to. A sweet sauce with a bit of heat! I really enjoyed the meal. I had water with the meal, but a nurse behind me was gushing about the ice tea she was drinking.

When looking at the menu, I wish there were a few more things that were not so up-scale bisto'ish, as I didn't see the BBQ beef sandwich as a part of their regular menu.

PROS: The cost is "Average" for a lunch, but good size portions of tasty BBQ beef sandwich and such a relaxing atmosphere make it a pleasure to visit their place.

The staff was pleasant and you felt like your business was appreciated.

CONS: There needs to be more selections of "comfort food" on their regular menu.

Ads in the local newspaper lead us to this cafe. What a total disappointment! From the menu description on the wall, it was difficult for a new customer to pick a food choice. When our sandwiches came, we were completely shocked. Instead of being something prepared in a special way, it was just a sandwich and not even good at that. Most drinks are in bottles and the fresh drinks made at the bar were not drinks the ordinary person would even want to try. I tried to get a vegetable drink but this establishment did not have a juicer so they didn't know how to even make such a drink. I would certainly not recommend Vitals for anything.
