I was overhwelmed when trying to plan our two island, two week trip to Hawaii. Two car rentals, airfare between islands, 2 places to stay etc. I decided that I would try our neighborhood travel agent for help. Jan at Passport Travel really knocked it out of the park. Accomodations on both islands were outstanding--and we were provided with fun passes and upgrades. Rental cars were ready when we arrived--no waiting. The prices were right and the trip was smooth sailing. I would highly recommend the Passport Travel team--they were fast, efficient, super accomodating and just nice to work with.
Pros: took the guess work out of travel planning
Cons: none

I've booked several trips, as well as two huge European vacations and have always received excellent service as well as recommendations from Passport Travel. I am a loyal customer and will continue to be one.

I had the worst experience with this travel agency. Unresponsive to my needs to say the least. I tried out this agency as this is who our company uses..why is beyond me. I found the staff to be rude and very impatient with my requests. I honestly do not know how this company stays in business with the way the staff treats their customers and in this economy they should think twice. I was so frustrated by this agency that I ended up booking with another agency that accomodated my needs.

My experience was quite positive and we will likely use this agency again. We booked our 40th anniversary trip which was a big deal as we don't travel too often. We made it clear we wanted this to be a special trip. Our agent was clearly knowlegeable about the various offerings in our price range and our destinaton (Europe). She helped us pinpoint what we wanted after a short consultation. They also had what I would call a pretty amazing price on the cruise we choose as we paid nearly 50% of the brochure price. I know that brochure prices are rarely paid but I felt that we got a luxury cruise experience for about the same price as a more standard cruise. This may be a result of their affiliation with American Express since we also received a bottle of wine, a room credit and an invitation to a private cocktail party onboard rom American Express . I decided to write this after I received a call from my agent excitedly asking how our trip was. She seemed as genuinely interested in making sure we had a great time as we were. All in all I would use this agency again and hope I get to do so soon!
Pros: friendly, knowlegable, good prices

I have used Passport travel many times over several years, as they are the contract travel agency for my employer. About 2 trips in 3 have gone fairly smoothly, which is always appreciated. However, other trips have been plagued by errors and, much worse, a lack of response from Passport when confronted with problems or questions. This is in addition to many simple enquiries ("Can I get a flight to Vancouver next week?") that have also gone unanswered. Ironically, my boss (who controls the pursestrings) receives better treatment, while my fellow peons (over a dozen and counting) keep getting tripped up. This leads me to wonder if they are in fact capable but only when they feel it is to their benefit. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and just say that they're maddeningly inconsistent. 2 out of 3 correct? That's a D-.
Pros: Sometimes convenient
Cons: Often unresponsive; impatient / unattentive service; errors not uncommon

I am a stickler when it comes to customer service. I was searching for a travel agency to book a potentially cumbersome and complicated travel itinerary. I spoke to at least 6 agencies before finding Passport Travel. Whereas the others were rude or simply unwilling to help, the folks at Passport were impeccably courteous, professional and enthusiastic about my travel plans. Although they were not initially familiar with the specific promotion, both of the people I worked with had obviously researched the program before we talked next, and handled my initial request and subsequent changes in a timely and efficient way. Even though I've moved to Chicago, I look forward to working with them again and highly recommend them to anyone!
