Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse is a casual restaurant with a straightforward menu of American favorites--steaks, burgers, fries and apple pie--baked right in our own kitchen. At Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse, you can enjoy our famous homemade yeast rolls, onion rings by the foot, steaks, barbecue ribs, crabcakes, crawfish chowder, and--the best part--our peanuts, the shells of which you can throw on the floor.
The varied menu has something for our entire family. The rolls are FABULOUS - we sometimes order those to go. The peanuts on the floor is a great if you are eating in.

Great food, fun atmosphere, great music, whole family is happy. Love the rolls and salmon salad. Nice casual setting that is very comfortable for everyone. Sometime a little wait to get in but worth it.

A great place to eat overall. Fast, friendly service and good food. The first thing the kids want to do is eat peanuts, just so they can throw the shells on the floor! We have been to several soccer year end parties there and the staff was always very accomidating.

Our family loves to go to Jimmy's just to throw the peanut shells on the floor. It is great to keep the little ones entertained. My kids love the home made rolls. We can not get enough of them. The atmosphere is so much fun, very loud though.

We have lunch here for work parties. Always great efficient service, large portions. Drinks are a little pricey. The ribs are great as is the crawfish chowder. Love the peanut shells on the floor.....

This is one of my favorite restaurants! I absolutely love this place. It's so much fun, and I love the country music and being able to throw peanut shells on the ground. I have been here numerous times. The best part is the AMAZING rolls! Best rolls I have ever tasted. I will continue to bring people here. It's so fun!

This is a fun restaurant to take the family if you think of yourself as "folk". The country music and peanut shells on the floor makes it just as fun as getting your hamburger served on a hub cap. The dinner rolls just keep coming and they are a meal in themselves! The campfire chicken is my favorite item on the menu but the rest of the family likes the ribs. The prices are very, very reasonable.

Throwing peanut shells is only a part of the experience at Jimmy Mack's. I loved the country music playin gin the background, and the barbeque style menu! Not to mention the great prices!

This is a really fun place to go, and you'll always have fun. Grab a complimentary bowl of peanuts on your way in, and throw the shells on the floor! (If you don't, they'll get mad!) The menu is all roadhouse fare, with good steaks, burgers. Crab cakes are a unique offering, too, though a little more pricy. TVs all around offer sports viewing. Your family or group will have a great time!

Throw your peanut shells on the floor and don't worry about the mess. This is a great family restaurant or a good place for a group that doesn't mind a louder atmosphere. Food is good and prices are fair. The best part - the warm, soft rolls with honey butter. My co-workers and I like this place for birthday lunches... their birthday song is hilarious.

Peanuts on the tables, shells on the floors. I enjoy munching on the peanuts but it's an odd feeling to throw the shells on the floor...The food is good and plentiful. I order a half sandwich combo.

I love the food, and the rolls are the best. I have had a very good experience every time I went to eat. I just wished they would build one up north in the Everett area so I can go to eat there more often.

I came across Jimmy Mac's almost accidentally on a recent family trip to Seattle. Because it was a family trip and we had a bunch of kids with us, we ended up staying in Renton. Nice surprise. I come from So. Cal. where there's more than enough "theme" chains to go around. Jimmy Mac's wasn't anything like those. It's a very informal place to get grub (yes, throw your peanut shells on the floor). Great for adults and kids.
The food is outstanding. The crayfish chowder requires a special mention. I'm a clam chowder freak and that's pretty much all I eat when I'm up in the Pacific Northwest. Jimmy Mac's crayfish chowder is a nice change of pace. I could live off of that stuff. It's a creamy concoction of cream, potatoes and succulent pieces of crawdad meat. The perfect thing for a cold rainy day in Seattle.

The food is just plain good. The service is good. The atmosphere is good. They got everything right, and I am not easy to please.

It's a Texas Style Roadhouse - which typically means "not a BBQ joint" - glad that's cleared up.
The steaks are fantastic, the burgers are delictable and everything else is just dern good! I judge a good steak place by the number of times I've gone back... I lost count. Jimmy Mac's stands far out in front of places like the "Outback". Great fun here for the kids too - be sure to grab your bowl of peanuts when you walk in and have a good time tossing the shells to the floor and crunching them up under foot.
Pros: Great Fun, Awesome Steaks, Peanut Shell Floor Crunching
Cons: Can be a little hard to find

I?ve eaten at this restaurant several times for lunch, and only once for dinner. I can only speak on behalf of the burgers, and not the other food. The best part about coming here is the warm yeast rolls with honey butter and the peanuts. The burgers are good and served on hubcaps, the fries are okay ? but you can substitute any of the other sides for the fries (such as the crawfish chowder which is good). I?d recommend splitting a burger with a friend (they are half pound burgers), so you can eat more rolls and peanuts. The service has always been good. The prices are on the high side, but splitting a burger makes it a good value. The ambience is okay, but the country music can be too loud for normal conversations and there are too many random decorations on the walls. At lunctime there are few shells on the floor. All in all its one of my lunch time favorites.

I just moved to Seattle from Kentucky, and the second I walked in Jimmy Mac's I wanted to laugh. I haven't been able to find one good bar-b-que place since I have been here, and Jimmy Mac's certainly didn't change that for me. I think they try a little too hard to fit the stereotypical "country bar-b-que" restaurant. Nothing I ordered tasted very good, and the service wasn't great. The overwhelming amount of peanut shells on the floor is just covering up the fact Jimmy Mac's lacks the necessary elements of a great southern restaurant.

A place called Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse, which is littered with peanut shells that have been thrown about, is supposed to have loud country music so I didn't hold that against them. We were a large post-football game party who ate well and drank well - you get your wooden bowl of peanuts at the door. They closed a little early than I would have liked but I had to remind myself that I wasn't in the city and we were the only table left when they started putting chairs up. Steak and wings were good. Salad could have been better. Drinks were mixed on the strong side and the service was okay. I will likely go back.
Pros: Reasonable steak, unique ambience for the area
Cons: early closing time

It doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is, nut shells on the floor give it away. Staff are very friendly - made me welcome. I had a beef kebab and the steak on the kebab melted in your mouth, several beers later even the country music wasn't that bad..

I've eaten here a couple times & the food's average, but the rolls and atmosphere make up for it.
The crabcakes were bland with a poorly matching spicy dipping sauce. A salmon caesar had good dressing but the salmon had a sweet marinade that I disliked.
I love places that refill your iced tea without having to sit around with an empty glass for 15 mins before somebody notices & The waitstaff is friendly and the service is good overall.
My boyfriend's eaten there more often than I & is always satisfied with the food, I'm much more picky so while the food wont win any awards in my book, its a great place to go when you feel like a fun casual meal and throwing peanut shells at each other.
Its really worth checking out at least once if you're in the area.
Pros: Fun & free peanuts, Affordable, Lots of parking
Cons: Can be noisy

So I went here for my 'Birthday Dinner' and I wouldnt have changed a thing. The waitress was wonderful, and served us our delicious crabcakes right away. It was my boyfriends first time there (as we live almost 8 hours away), and he couldnt believe you could actually throw the peanut shells on the floor.
I got the petite steak and he got the ribs. Both were perfect. When the manager on shift learned of our trip just to dine at Jimmy Mac's - He said the meal was on them! All we had to do was write on a napkin and say how far we drove. And they are SUPER friendly and told us current events that weekend in Seattle.
Make sure to look for the napkin we signed, and dont forget to tip good!

Food's always good and consistent, rolls are awesome, steak well above average. The only downside is it can be quite loud, other than that its always on my short list of restaurants.
Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere
Cons: Loud

There are few restaurants I walk out of saying: "That was fun!" If you're looking for the ultimate amusing, ice-breaker type for the awkward date jitters, entertaining guests, or to get your mind off a bad day, this is it.
The atmosphere's country-ish. The staff is friendly, and you can toss the peanut shells on the floor. It's a little noisy, but you obviously go here if you're in search of fun & atmosphere.
It's a good place for steaks, but I think you're safe with anything on the menu. The mountain of onion rings is tasty & fun (there's that word again, fun). The food is excellent and full of flavor, and you get a lot of it - it's more than likely you'll be taking home lunch for the following day.
Go for it and experience it for yourself - it's worth the drive and your time.
Pros: food, perfect for families, friendly service
Cons: can be loud, not "romantic", don't propose here

The waitresses are very friendly and accommodating, the food is excellent, salads fresh, rolls yummy. Peanuts on the floor are fun. Katie's(?) steak is wonderful. No matter what we have ordered, it has been good and there has always been plenty of food.

We ate here on a Wed night at around dinner time. We were seated right away and recieved our drinks soon after ordering them. The prices of the food was expensive; an appetizer 8.70 to a steak being 14.60 and that was a small one. Taste wise the steak was mediocre at best. We also had to wait for the waitress to actually come back to the table to get payment.
Pros: Atomosphere, No wait to be seated, Rolls
Cons: , Wait at end of meal, Taste

Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse is a GREAT place for friends, family and fun! Great steaks and mouthwatering honey butter rolls that can't be beat. The service is awesome and the dinners are a great value - definitely worth driving to Renton for. Although I'm not a great fan of wait staff singing Happy Birthday anthems, it's a little funny when the theme is "Fried Chicken, County Hog, it's your Birthday HOT DOG!" At least you get a laugh out of it! JIMMY MACS IS THE BEST!

Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse is a good time, and has great food. The atmosphere is upbeat and the staff is friendly. A great place to have lunch or dinner.
Pros: Good Drinks, Fun People, Great Food

Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse is fun, affordable, and has great food. The atmosphere is upbeat and the staff is very friendly. Expect to hear country music, and see "peanuts on the floor". At Jimmy Mac's you can feel free to toss your peanuts shells on the floor. Kids seem to especially enjoy the chance to make a mess... and be encouraged to do it! At Jimmy Mac's you'll be given their homemade rolls, free of charge. They are very addicting! There are many choices on the Jimmy Mac's menu. Lots of good appetizers, salads, drinks, and meals. There's something for everyone at Jimmy's. Our family says "give it a try"!
Pros: fun, good service, great food
Cons: sometimes crowded

A real winner. If you are looking for a place to take the WHOLE family or a large group, this is it! There is something for everyone at Jimmy Mac's. The open atmosphere and boot scootin' music are welcoming and fun. The free hot yeast rolls and peanuts are always a hit. The other food is great too. The blackened dishes are my favorite -- blackened ribeye steak, blackened chicken sandwich, and blackened chicken ceasar salad. All are yummy! Other favorites are the crab cakes, crawfish chowder, and sweet potato fries. I highly recommend Jimmy's.
