I took my vehicle in to get inspected once and spoke with a gentleman by the name of Jim who was very nice. Jim asked me if I lived near and if I have been here before. I informed him I lived in Canyon Gates and that I have never been at Accurate Auto Center as I have always used another Car Auto Center for years. Without being pushy but very sincere he asked if one day I could give them a try, which he would love to earn my business. He gave me the down home feeling and was extremely sincere. I told him that I have a son that has just turned 15 and a truck I bought in four days before he was born that he wishes to have for his first truck. It needs a lot of work done and also want to make sure it is safe to drive. I told him that this was going to be a project that I had planned on doing with my Current Auto Center who was looking forward to doing it over a course of time. Since there is no rush they would figure out everything that it needs to run like a champ and for it to be safe on the road. I was not looking to start this project until about six months or more until his birthday. He said no worries, if I were to give him a chance to earn my business that he would be glad to help me with this project with the understanding that it will be done over the course of six months. Jim came back and told me that he looked it all over and total cost was around 2500.00 give or take a few 100. I was not looking to dump 2500.00 all at once which is the reason this was a project. We agreed with the original plan and he started the work. Few weeks later, maybe 3 to 5, I get a call saying that the truck is finished and I need to come and pick it up. OK? So I went to the shop to make a payment which is what was agreed with for this project.
Upon arrival I asked for Jim and was informed by Cindy that Jim was no longer there and was forced to retire. So I informed her I received a phone call about my truck and wanted to make a payment as I discussed with Jim before his forced retirement. Cindy informed me that she had no idea what kind of deal I had with Jim and that they are a corporation now and that they do not accept / take payments. So 1. I could care less if you are a corporation which has nothing to do with accepting payments or not and 2., Perhaps the board members of the corporation should of had a better understanding of the business to include transactions. Unwillingly to finally accept my payment I gave Cindy a payment of around 500.00 even though she kept mentioning that it was a corporation now and they don??t accept payments. I decided to pay the reaming 2K plus so that my vehicle would not be stolen and I reviewed the vehicle work that was supposed to have been done. Everything was done as promised except one thing which I will mention in a moment. There was also a cap missing from the inside that covered the side view mirror. I asked where it went to and the first remark, as expected, was it was missing when they got it. Oh, btw, I took pictures inside and out because I trust no one. As that changed their tune quickly the mechanic said he did take it off and could not find that part after he took it off. Heath (I believe) said he would order me one.
I found the peace a few days later under the seat and called them and I reached Cindy to inform her I found the peace after she put me through 50 unnecessary questions. I asked her who the other gentlemen was that was kicked out and she pretty much blew up and kept saying she did not kick anyone out. Ok bad choice of words, but when someone gets that upset that fast when I said ??kicked out?, then there must be some truth to it somewhere. I feel sorry for Jim if he had to work with people that rude. I would have retired willingly if so.
There is only one thing wrong with my truck from what I picked it up and that is it will hesitate or has a hesitation when you first hit the gas. I??m supposed to have a one year warranty or parts and labor but I only suspect that corporation has some new policy that made that agreement also void.
Jim was Accurate Auto Center and seems to no longer be there which is the difference in my opinion,. He seemed to make it a place what it was and I would want to go take my vehicles to them if he was still there. Lesson here is stick with your current Auto care company, there is no reason in my opinion to stop by at this corporation.

Two years ago I brought my car to them after having two other shops fail to fix an A/C problem on my Expedition. Not only did Accurate give me a ride home and pick me up, that also found the problem and took care of it. My entire family has been going there ever since with great success!

Mike, the owner has his own radio program and is also a newspaper columnist in the Tomball /Cypress/Klein/1960 Newspapers. He is super nice and knowledgeable.
