Decent sandwiches (hot and cold), Excellent pizza and garlic knots. We've eaten here a number of times since we moved from Richmond. Great local family spot!

If you love cheese, this is the place to be! Villa Nova's is a laid back place with a lot going on on the walls and a huge(too large if ya ask me) menu! BUT! The pizza is steller! My wife and I dig it and go there as often as possible to get their home made cheese sticks, and kick butt "NEW YORK STYLE" pizza.... Well, I would say; "New Yorkish"; not quite but sure is great pizza and the prices are really great! I recomend this place for all! Aside from their huge menu, they have a nice establishment and very high quality food! Thanks V-NOVA!

Villa Nova's is a small family owned Italian restaurant located in the Turkeysag Shopping Center area in Palymra just off 53.

It is fantastic! My wife and I choose to eat there when dining out about 70% of the time now (which makes for eating here at least once a month if not more when friends/family are visiting). Proximity certainly plays a role with living at Lake Monticello, but the food always exceeds expectations!

They recently added to their menu a great selection of seafood, chicken, and veal to go with their already great calzones and pizza's. The Pasta del Mar blew me away! There was so much seafood in it (mussels, jumbo shrimp, clams, grilled calamari) that by the time I got through the seafood I couldn't finish eating the leftover pasta. It tasted fresh, well prepared, and was comparable to any Italian restaurant I've been to before (and I do travel quite a bit!).

The only different between Villas Nova's and a fancy Italian restaurant in D.C. or NY is the price! It's great. With a bottle of wine, an appetizer or salads, bread, entree's, and the occasional Tirimasu our bill for 2 has never exceeded $50. A family of 4 without wine could easily eat for the same price or could bring that down to a $20 meal with a shared pizza, some salads and soda's.

The take out is great to. Their traditional calzone is one of the best calzones I've ever had. Plus they always have great specials on the board each night.

So I recommend you try it if you haven't for dine in or carry out. It's great Italian food at a great price. The service as times could stand to improve, but 90% of the time it's quite good as well.
