We contacted Door Pro America through a Costco referral . Door Pro America came to our house, provided us with what appeared to be a reasonable quote and timeline for the installation to be completed, three weeks. We were told we would be contacted. At the end of the three week window, we finally contacted the company due to the fact they had not called to set up an installation appointment or to inform us there would be a delay. When we spoke they told us they would not be able to schedule an installation appointment for the next two weeks. After a great deal of negotiating, we agreed on the following Friday (still over one week away). The Thursday evening before our scheduled appointment we received a call at 4:30. I called back a few minutes later to be told they were not going to be out to complete the installation the following day, that the crews Door Pro America has scheduled on Fridays are only one person crews and our installation would require a two person crew. Frustrated, we rescheduled for the following Monday. Monday there was a snow fall overnight (4 inches) that had ended early morning, though this was enough to cause Door Pro America to close.

No one contacted us to inform us the installation would not be taking place, we called Monday to find out if anyone would be arriving and heard nothing back until Tuesday about 9:30am. When we spoke they assured us they would be over Wednesday morning and we would be the crews first stop of the day. At 9:00am we called the company and learned the crew was already at their first stop and they should arrive at our house no later than 10:30am. At this time we requested a manager call us back at their convenience. At 10:30am we called again and spoke with the manager, Brad. We informed him about how our case had been handled, we informed him about our disappointment and frustration. He listened, and at the end assured me they were closed due to snow on Monday and that he would contact the crew after we hung up to assure they'd be to the house at Noon. He made no apologies for the manner in which my case was handled, no promises or assurances that the people responsible for scheduling would be spoken with about the situation. He informed me that the crew that would be arriving would be professionals and do a good job installing our new door. After this quick exchange Brad simply tried to get me off the phone as quickly as possible without any offer of true condolences or even a basic apology.

The crew that came to the house was immediately apologetic and did a wonderful time installing the door. They replaced all the hardware and were very efficient and detail oriented, double checking functionality as they completed phases of the installation. We were invited to see progress as it was completed and were quite pleased with there work.

Purchased garage doors from these folks. The customer service was poor. They installed the wrong panels on my doors along with no hardware. It took them weeks to fix the problem. Salesman never called back after he made the sale and person in customer service was rude.\r

Very unprofessional I was called at 430 pm the day before my scheduled installation and was told my door was not in. The door had been ordered 8 weeks prior to the installation date.

I did not have these people to put my garage door on, the builder did. The door failed and came off the track (8 mos of service). Jeff (Gen Manager, Gainesville, VA) who came out and was nasty and never took any responsibility to the problem. However, he put the door back on the track. I question how safe it is. i do plan to get another opinion.
I would never use this company!

Initially I was contacted for installation via voicemail, but upon returning the call, I learned that the opener was actually not in stock. It was a mistake that I had been contacted. To their credit, I was contacted only a few days later and opener installation was arranged. However the installation tech was in quite the hurry. Showed up at 0700 vice the 0800-1200 appointment time (this could be considered good or bad, but 0700 is a little extreme for me). The wires look like a nest and when asked to do some basic cosmetics, the installation tech was less than courteous. The garage door was opening and closing fine for demo, initially, but then stopped. He said it was the springs, after pulling the release string and allowing this very large door to slam shut; needless to say I was not happy. He said, and I quote "it's your springs, now I have to go" and he departed. After we get this matter rectified, via Home Depot, I will never use this company again!
