We are new to the area and someone in line at Target told me I could get a trial membership at BJ's for a month. I was unfamiliar with BJ's, so I thought I would try it. I had memberships at Cosco and Sam's, which were in my previous state. I went to BJ's and asked about this to the worker inside the door. I told him what I had heard and asked if it were true. He said, "Yes." I asked where I was supposed to go and he directed me toward customer service, saying, "You have to go wait in that line." It was a long line! I went over and got in line. After waiting a while, I saw a cashier with nothing to do, so I stepped over to him, getting my son and daughter to save our spot. The cashier was just a few feet away from customer service. I asked him if I could get a temporary membership to try out the store. He looked annoyed at my question and assured me, "Yes. You need to wait in that line." I told him that the line was quite long and I was asking him because I needed to make sure I could get a temporary membership. I did not want to waste my time. He had no customers but looked annoyed that I had asked the question. He seemed to be suspicious that I was trying to avoid the "line-waiting system". I continued to wait and wait. Finally, it was my turn. I politely told the person at customer service why I was there. She was not so polite and told me they were not giving those. She said it had "expired". I calmy explained to her that I had waited in a long line and that two other employees assured me I could get a temporary membership. She said no one else in the store would have known, because only customer service would know the answer to that. I told her that it would be nice if they could provide that information to a potential customer, without them having to wait in a long line to find out. I told her that perhaps they could post the information, somewhere visible, at the customer service area. She rolled her eyes at me like she thought my idea was ridiculous. I thought I was giving them valuable feedback. I was so unimpressed with their "customer service department", words cannot expressed. I am going to enjoy spending my money at Sam's and Costco from now on. What a waste to try to go to BJ's....

Don't even get me started... I had the worst experience w/ this BJ's Tires/Service Center. I go there early Sunday afternoon happy to find out there wasn't any customers around except me. But it took over 15 mins for me to get any attention from an employee. A week later, I got a call from BJ's to drop off my car since the tires that was ordered has came in. I go there, and an employee tells me no one called me and that my tires wasn't in yet. What the... He gets all confused and frusturated at me for coming in-- so I ask for the manager. The manager shows up 20 mintues later and no one knows who called me. 30 mins after I leave that horrid place, that same frusturated employee gives me a call and lets me know the tires are in. Urgh. Worst service ever.
