I have never had a problem with PI in Fairfax. I love the photos and I love the time and attention I'm always given. I ALWAYS schedule my portraits first thing in the morning, especially with a toddler. I do this any time I have portraits taken anywhere. I can't stress this enough. Schedule your toddler portraits first thing in the morning. Schedule a week or two in advance if you must. I get fantastic results with PI.

Terrible scheduling, the appointment was on a Saturday, everyone had appointments and they said they were one hour behind. So with that we waited the hour, but it took over 5 hours to finally get to view the pictures, at that point kids crying, so I picked one fast, they threw in a free calendar picture and a couple cards.- woopee. The rep said she could lighten the picture if I chose the one I did. We left to get some food instead of waiting the printing time and when picked up the pictures, the color was not lightened. I now need to return to edit that. Rushed taking the pictures, not pleased with the shots either. Terrible, terrible! I have gone once when it was during a weekday/schoolday and it was ok (the guy didn't seem good with thte camera) and still messed up the lighting then. But this time HORRIBLE scheduling as well as non- professionals! There weren't even any seats left to wait, people were sitting on eachother. Sounds like this is the norm for them with scheduling from the other comment. Not worth it!

As with other reviews of Portrait Innovations throughout the country, the PI in Fairfax seems to follow their corporate mantra of "horrible customer service". The issue - over-scheduling and lack of care for other people's time. I had a scheduled appt to take pictures of my toddler. The appt time was made specifically around the time of my son's nap and eating schedule. We drive the 20 minutes to PI just to find out that they around running almost 2hrs behind. When the lady at the counter tells me this, almost with a laugh, I asked her if she ever heard of a phone and why they did not call to alert us of the delay. She said it would take longer to call all 60 clients than to keep taking photos. I could not believe that is the answer she provided when there was three employees at the front counter and not one doing anything but looking frazzled. Of course, I walked out as there was no way my toddler would wait more than an hour and still be in a good mood. They have lost a customer for life and I will be spreading the word about their poor service around the metro-DC area. I hear their Corporate customer service is just as useless. It is a shame that they can not properly plan or even respect their customer's time. I used them twice before at this time of year, spending over $150 per visit, without any problems. I guess their growth has crippled their customer service.
