Letter dated 1/7/09 to the Board of Directors of the Moose.
Of course I got NO REPLY and no satisfaction

Late last year, I bounced 2 checks at the Woodstock Moose Club.

Check # 1497 Written on 10/10/08 for $100.00 bounced when the Moose Club deposited it on 11/19/08 (over a month after I wrote it).

Check # 1498 Written on 11/12/08 for $200.00 bounced when the Moose Club deposited it on 11/19/08.

On December 9th I went into the Moose Club for lunch with a co-worker and was told I couldn??t write a check for lunch. I asked why and the bartender shrugged. I said, ??Oh my gosh! Is that one of the checks I bounced?? (I get notification from my bank that a check bounced, but not who it is written to, or for how much and my checks were messed up in my register and I thought the Avon check I wrote was what bounced, and I had been trying to reach the Avon lady for weeks and finally gave up thinking she??d get ahold of me sooner or later).

On December 9th I went into the office of the Moose Club and spoke with (person in office) who told me I had 2 personal checks bounced (one for 100$ and one for $200) and that if I didn??t pay them within 10 days I would be kicked out of the Moose Club. I was SO EMBARRASSED! I apologized profusely and told her I??d be in on the 19th when I got paid to take care of the checks.

On December 19th I went in and paid cash for my 2 bounced checks and their associated fees (and one that my husband had bounced). I have a receipt for that payment. See attached)

On December 22 I saw on my bank account that check # 1497 was cashed for $100.00 and that check # 1498 bounced (with a $32.00 bounced check fee) and that 4 other NSF fees that followed due to this Moose error. (see attached)

I realize that this is partially my fault, but as soon as I realized there was a problem, I took care of it. This time the Woodstock Moose Club made a mistake, and needs to take care of it

The Woodstock Moose club is responsible for 6 returned item fees of $32.00 for a total of $160.00

Due to the timing of this fiasco, I ended up having to use the gift cards that Santa was supposed to give the kids to buy Christmas dinner.

I admit to my original error, and I took care of it as soon as I was aware of it. Now it is the Moose??s responsibility to take care of their mistake.

I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER OF THE MOOSE FOR 4 YEARS AND I WOULDNT CHANGE IT! IT WILL ALWAYS BE A FIVE STAR FAMILY ESTABLISHMENT TO ME WHOM I WILL BE A LIFETIME MEMBER!! MY ONLY QUESTION IS HOW MUCH TIME AND MONEY HAS THIS COMPLAINANT DONATED TO THE MOOSE LODGE IN THREE YEARS? I WOULD VENTURE TO SAY ITS ONLY BEEN THE YEARLY DUES! HOWEVER THE MOOSE CANNOT DONATE MONEY TO EVERYONE BUT WE DO OUR BEST TO HELP WHEN WE CAN! DUE TO THE COMPLAINANTS VULGARITY TO THE WONDERFUL STAFF PROBABLY HAD ALOT TO DUE WITH IT BUT YOU CANT EXPECT TO ASK FOR HELP FROM ANYONE AND TREAT PEOPLE LIKE THE COMPLAINANT DID AND EXPECT ANYONE TO OFFER YOU ANYTHING! MYSELF PERSONALLY IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE COMPLAINANTS SOME CHRISTMAS GIFTS MYSELF! That is why the WOTM was unable to provide any assistance during your time of need at Christmas. The WOTM had no knowledge of your condition or your hospitalization that is why you received no card or flowers. Due to your adverse actions, which are unacceptable, such as the numerous inappropriate phone calls to the Lodge and the rude conversational tone that was imposed over the phone to our members and Lodge Staff we have chosen not to accept your application for help.

AFTER A MONTH OF NO REPLY I CALLED THE LODGE LEFT MESSAGES I WAS TOLD IT WAS PUT ON HOLD. THEN AFTER I CONTACTED MOOSE INTERNATIONAL THIS WAS MY REPLY FROM THE HEARTLESS MEMBERS OF MOOSE LODGE #575 IN WOODSTOCK,VA. MARY CHRISMAN SR WOMENS MOOSE AND TIM MARION GOVENOR.
