This apartment complex needs some serious updates (ie rotton wood over balcony roofs, gutters that are non-existent or improperly hooked up to the outlets for the water in the roofs, plumbing, garbage disposals, etc...). I loved the community, my neighbors were great and I will honestly have some life long friends after living here. BUT the management is terrible, they will try to screw you out of every last penny they can. I say know you legal rights because first the management tried to bill me when faulty plumbing caused a water leak and wrecked the apartment below mine (this was the second time this happened in this apartment too, and I only know this because I was friends with the previous renters). Then they also wanted to break their terms of the lease (lease states - lease contract to automatically renew month to month unless either party gives at least 60 days notice), and they told me I must vacate 30 days after my lease is up, with no notice. Bottom line READ YOUR LEASE, because they will try to rip you off any way they can!!! They can't keep a good office or maintenance crew either, they only last about 6 months, and the growing pains of new office personnel really hurt especially when that office personnel are as unintelligent as the current ones are! Know your rights and stick to your guns if you want to live here!

Pros: Beautiful Courtyards

Cons: Everything Else

I've lived here for the last two years, which was about 18 months too long. The "management" is not only lazy and not terribly bright, they hire the WORST "maintenance" people available! It has taken me 2 or three calls or notes about requests for service nearly every time it's needed, and then it takes them nearly a week to accomplish the task.
There is no covered parking, no security, no fences, and no consideration from neighbors about noise [loud parties, loud music], much less about cleaning up after themselves [cig butts] or their animals. The population is a mixed bag -- some tenants have been there over 15 years -- but there are also students and families with small kids.
Another problem: no individual hot water heaters! So I have to do the "hot-water dance" every single morning when I take a shower; but I still get scalded AND chilled at least twice each per shower. This is the best example [but not only] of the "mgmt's" attitude about repairs: they just don't DO them.
There are also no W/D connections, and for a 2/2 at $915/mo, there should be more than a couple of scungy laundry rooms.
The "management" company got itself in trouble a few months back when they tried to tack on new payments [gas and trash] to existing leases; never mind that this is totally illegal! They only backed down when they were pointed out to local news media.
So if you want to waste a lot of money, and have a LOT of hassle with "management," be my guest and move in here. But if not, RUN from this place as if it had the plague -- it may well! (There IS black mold behind the bathtub surround ...)
