I just wanted to comment on Mr.contreas i had the opporunity to work with him and had an input on his evaluation.First of all race played no role in his termination and further more the H.R. is right 90-95% of Orion is hispanic if anyone can cry racism it could be me.Dan moeller is by for a raceist usually if we look into the mirror we can find the problems that haunt us.For someone with three years exp. he didn't display the professinalizem you would exspect from a three yr.vet.It is unfortunate that he didn't make the cut and also every thing happens for a reason.We all go though trials in our lives accept and move on.

i worked for a week and then was "layed-off" turns out the guys on the rig didn't like beaners.. the toolpusher, dan molar, is an arrogant, ignorant, close-minded j3rk. make no mistake, i have experience and i made sure to bust my @ss that whole week..didn't want to give them a reason to run me off. ( i have a 1yr old daughter with epilepsy and need the insurance and money), especially since i just got layed offfrom greywolf last month.my point is be careful applying there or working with those guys, it doesn't matter how well you perform, just your last name is what they're interested in. mark GUERRA, ignored me all week,the driller for orion called my wife and told my wife that"the rig is laying him off." & then hung up. didn't ask to talk to me or anything i called back immediately to see what the problem was.i couldn't get a straight answer.one guy said i wasn't cutting it & i asked for an example that i wasn't doing my job 2 the best of my ability..the reason suddenly changed to" we need somebody with more experience". i have over 3 years experience &take pride in the fact that if i was hired to clean a toilet that would be the cleanest toilet anybody ever saw. they R full of sh*t not to mention r@cist, judgemental and unprofessional. i have been raised around oil field trash.i know some big @ssholes.but these guys beat them all! i went into the office to make them aware of the situation &the company guys basically told me tough sH*t. couldn't get transferred to another rig or anything. they said that if i used them as a reference they would give me a good review so what the hell? maybe if i told them my wife is a rich white girl they would have at least given me a chance to prove myself.their loss....oh yeah mark guerra is chickensH*t for not telling me that i was lay me off 6hrs earlier when i was the ONLY GUY TRIPPIN PIPE FOR HIM. WHAT A AWESOME DRILLER, RIGHT? THIS COMPANY IS HEADED TO THE TOILET IF THESE GUYS ARE ANYTHING LIKE THE GUYS THAT ARE RUNNING IT!

Pros: disgusting trailers on location, just plain mean people as employers

Cons: no job security or respect of any kind. you r worth less than nothing to them.

Yes I remember this situation. We sat down with you and discussed the issues with your Rig Super, an Ops Manger and me (HR Director). We take issues seriously here at Orion and so we agreed to speak with you on this matter.

First and foremost I understand you were still angry when you wrote this review about our company and I am sorry you could have made a home here with Orion. But please don’t use race as a factor of your termination or your family life. Here at Orion, as well with most of South Texas, we are approx 90-95% Hispanic. It doesn’t matter who your wife is or what your family situation is (although I am sorry we couldn’t help you obtain health insurance for your daughter.)

We hire based on experience and job loyalty. You received and opportunity here because you had 3 years (but only just made the 3 year mark). But we gave you an opportunity but it’s your responsibility to keep your job. In our meeting I gave you your reviews about your performance so there should be nothing stated here. It is our common practice not to move people around due to a conflict because history shows the conflict will follow the employee.

Our management staff on location has been trained to expect the best out of your employees and see if a new employee might become a potential safety factor. Now I will admit that our company isn’t perfect and sometimes our hands are unprofessional, but they are not office staff - they are as you say OFT.

I do apologies how you were informed your services were no longer needed but as I say we aren’t perfect and we learn form our misjudgment. Good luck in your future job search.

My last apology was deleted by accident.... but I apologies for your experience with either myself or my staff. I hope that future applicants understand that we, like everyone else, do get overwhelmed and have bad days. But that is no excuse for rudeness. I have addressed the issue and hopefully we can be more willing to help with all phone calls.

The reason why we don?t send applications or request applicants to come in to fill out and application is if we have an opening and you qualify we hope to put you through the hiring process and get you out to a rig so you can start work.
