I am a former employee, who left on good terms, over a year ago. I have been going to Rialto w/ family and friends to watch movies and spent ALOT of money there. I NEVER get discounts or anything free, except when I have earned a reward through the SANTIKOS REWARD program. I went to the movies for the 12:01 am showing of XMEN today with my 13 y.o. son, brother and friend. We bought the tickets at the box office at approx. 10 pm and was never told anything about not being able to watch movies at this theatre anymore, as a former employee. We all rode together in my friend's van, arrived at the theater at approx. 11:45 pm, the rest of my party went in to get seats and I went to Guest Services to fix my points on my Reward Card. The manager, Hugh, sarcastically told me that former employees are no longer allowed to view movies at the Rialto, as of Thursday; the same day that we bought all of the tickets. He would not explain why. He would not allow me to even go into the theater to get the rest of my party, since they were having to leave also, since we all rode together. My brother came out and inquired about the situation, stating that since their were NO signs posted and we were not told anything when we purchased the tickets earlier in the evening, that they should make an exception since we were already there, had seats and had already ordered food & drinks. Hugh, smugly replied that he would not and I had to leave. Before this last set of managers, because they have had a LARGE turnover of managers in the last year, I haven't had any trouble there. I take my mother, and kids there at least once a month and between movie tickets, food & drinks, spend at least $100 each time we go as a family. Even when it is just me, I still spend at least $30-40 on tickets, food and drinks. This is truly poor customer service.
