Upscale Italian makes wood-fired pizzas and pillowy gnocchi somehow hip.

Won't be going back for sure. Slow service, unhygienic practices, and very overpriced food. Seated quickly but it took about 20 minutes to get our salad and even though we told the waiter we were starving, he never offered to bring us

I liked my tenderloin ( I dont think it was worth the price ) and Sweetie loved her pasta. Service was excellent and atmosphere was well worth it. The thing that is bad is the parking, plan on spending an extra $10 just to park. I would go

I have to agree 110% with lamew on this one. My family and I also had a run-in with Anthony. He waved his fingers in our faces and was extremely rude. My sister was definitely on the verge of tears until I interjected for him to stop

I just have to chime in and say that I don't agree with the previous reviewer's scathing review of Anthony. He has been nothing but professional, friendly and extremely nice every time I've been in there. (And I've been there a lot.) He is

I used to love going to the original location in Dallas, and Austin is no let down! I've always been pleased with anything I've tried, but am partial towards their Risotto dishes. The Balsamic Ice Cream is delish! You get high quality Italian fare with a warm and comfortable atmosphere...what's not to love about that?

Save yourself the trouble and run away from La Taverna. I experienced one of my worst dining experiences ever here. Service and their attitude towards customers is absolutely appalling. To shorten the story, we went here to have a lite

Pros: One of the few places open for lunch in the 2nd St District

Cons: Poor Service/Management

I think this is one of the best brunch places in downtown Austin. It gets filled up quick, so get there early or make a reservation! They offer $1 mimosas for brunch on weekends and their food is not as bad as some of the other reviews

Now, a lot of Italian places try to "claim" they are the best, but these folks made me feel like I was in Rome having a feast with the locals! Their food makes the gos weep, it's so good!

We went to Taverna for years and always had a good meal; then about two years ago the portions began shrinking - we had to eat at home afterwards to feel like we'd had a satisfying meal. Easter brunch 2009 pushed us over the top and out

Being located on the ground floor of one of Austin's newer skyscrapers adds to the big-city hustle and bustle in this large dining room. Diners come for Italian food; comforting, cheesy, saucy and preferably with lots of wine. Traditional…
