I hadn't had a massge in about two years. A bad expericence with a spa had soured me somewhat. I went in to investigate.Houston is loaded with "spas' that are really...well..you know ! Talked a good while with attendent at front desk and looked at flyer. A customer came out and was kind enough to answer some of my concerns. I got brave and agreed to a one hour.
The therapist was small but strong and thorough. She began with hot towels on my feet and she worked literallyevery part of me, including with the hot stones. The head 'neck treatment was very good also. I can say without qualification it was the best I have ever had. I experienced complete stress release! My only complaint was that I had to drive a long way home..would have loved a bed to just stay there. When I did get home I slept more soundly than I had in a longtime. Need to get back but it so far from me and I am on a fixed...make that "Broke" income lol

I have been a regular customer for over three Years. I was recommended by my friend and his wife. They do an excellent job finding your trouble spots and then creating an unique massage to smooth things out.
The prices are the same or lower than other impersonal, soft, not satisfying massages that I have received.

Rose is excellent. I have seen others in her absence.

Go once and you will be hooked!!!

I am a seasoned thai massage customer - this is a hidden jewel in Houston, Texas and have gone several times! I have NOT been disappointed and go once a month. I highly recommend this business. The service, quality and atmosphere is supber. I walk out as if I have been taken into a spiritually & physical car wash and tune-up. Highly recommended. Rios is not longer at this place of business she was an angel from above. Ask for Joy she is equally a pleasure and savvy. Very professional.

I am very surprise with your odd comment, Because me and my entire family have been customers for this place since they open their business. I can only said good things about them .

They are very honest and professional people. My entire family is in the sports world business and we rely in their services. My two sons and I are professional players and we visited this place at least twice a month.

I don??t really undestand what gave you the shivers that you are talking about , because the temperature of the room is very well controlled and if is not to your appeal the only thing you can do is open your mouth for them to make it comfortable for you, just remember they provided you with a blanket upon request as well.

I don??t mean to be ugly to you , but with world full of sadness and awful things maybe is time for you to be more positive, kind and less angry.

I remember one time at check out time , I gave them by mistake $100 over and the lady at the cash register follow me to my car with the money . That make me realized that they are very honest.

In regard the products you claim the changed , I have done my own research on it and they do use some of the more expensive in the market

Until tonight I have never had a bad experience with your business.

Now I'm not sure if I will ever go back. For one, now you have to REQUEST a Thai massage. Secondly the massage oils changed from the soft and relaxing mint to an scent that resembles pungent fabric softner.

My therapist shook me around for an hour while I shivered in a cold room. She had long nails that dug into my skin. She pulled my hair. And for the worst part, every time that she used a warm towel on me she would proced to THROW it across the room into a plastic container. I came out of it cold, wide awake, and wishing I had never wasted my money.

Please, if you are used to the relaxing Thai massages they provide, REQUEST ONE! Don't make the same mistake I did.

I have had a wonderful experience each time I have visit ed my therapist at Healing Hands or dealt with the front desk staff. I have been a customer for almost 3 years and I plan on returning in the future. Maybe your experience with the front staff should be brought to their management's attention instead of this site so that the person responsible could be held liable-not the business.

As the one of the owners, My partners and I would like to thank everyone for the great reviews and the support everyone has given us.

To our only bad reveiwer i would like to comment that, none of us has never use that tactic (car salesmen ) before and will not use that tactic to our client ever in our business.

As to the tip problem with clients to therapist, we would like the therapist to come forth with the issue to the management. As for the clients, you may leave the tip with either the receptionist or the therapist. It is totally up to you the client. This is the first issue we have ever had with tips, we have 20+ therapists that work here. This is the only therapist that has had this problem.
So please do not accuse the receptionist as theives.

We like to thank everyone once again for your support. If there are any other compliants or bad expierences please notify managment. We would be more than happy to take care of any issue you may have in the best way we can.

I stopped by Healing Hands for my monthly massage over the weekend. All the therapists there are top-notch and the longtime employees all know who I am. Due to her particular stretching techniques, I stick to the same therapist. This past weekend I was in there and the therapist explained to me how she believes they are not being given all their tips.
She asked me if I wouldn't mind, do I remember how much I left her for a tip last month. That was an easy one there - I always leave a twenty for my hour massage. She said that is what she thought as well, but she only received $12 when I was in there last month. She also informed me this has become a common occurence for her.

I hope my favorite place remains "Healing Hands" and hasn't turned into "Stealing Hands".

Moral of the story(review):
If you want your therapist to get your tip, it is best to leave it with him or her instead of the woman working at the front desk.

Pros: John Paul sport therapy massage is the best I have ever had, his stretches and pulls are awesome!

Cons: He's not there 24/7 and the other therapists don't go as deep, or stretch me the way he does.

I have been all over town to many of the high end spas but keep coming back to Healing Hands. Their massage therapists are strong and work out the knots like no others in town. They incorporate stretching into their massages. The hours are very convenient.

I've had more than 20 massages from this Healing Hands Massage location over the past couple of years. They are very convenient, and have always been able to accomodate me when I wanted a massage, including evenings and weekends. I've used two therapists (Julie and Mabely), who have both done well at deep tissue. The location is kept very clean and sanitary. The massage rooms on the east side can be noisy, as they back-up against the kitchen of the next door restaurant.

Healing Hands has raised prices recently, however, their prices are still on-par with the market and are a good value considering the quality of the massage. There are independent LMTs who provide better quality massages. However, my experience is that the good LMTs are hard to book and are 10 to 20% more expensive.

Just returned from my first Healing Hands massage and i must say it was amazing. When I called, Rick, the owner, answered and withstood my barrage of questions (i've been to many not-so-good massage places and have felt cheated). He assured me that all of the therapists were well-trained and instructed by him personally and that I would receive a high-quality massage. He was indeed right- my therapist (Mabely) was one of the most skilled i've ever encountered and used a combination of deep tissue, Thai, hot stone, reflexology, and sports massage techniques to render me a soft human noodle. She even went over time and ensured that all problem areas were addressed. I've had a very difficult time finding a masseuse that can provide the needed pressure for an entire session- from what my therapist told me, they have a variety of therapists to match the clients' needs. They even have the overhead bars to stabilize/support them as they walk on you!

The business has a pleasant sitting area and several therapy rooms along the hallway. The only downside was that the room was a bit small and the next door Chinese restaurant could be heard clanking around next door so the ambience did suffer a bit. The walls are also somewhat on the thin side and I could overhear some conversations. But, i didn't really care since i was getting a great therapeutic massage. And for the price, I don't think it can be beat- 80 dollars for 90 min? Beyond worth it, in my opinion. I entered thinking about the hour long but by way before the end of the hour, i was asking for the additional 30 minutes. This place is not for anyone looking for the pampered day spa type of experience, but someone who seeks out a serious therapeutic massage.

This place is awesome. I have gotten massages from many people in here. Mary is the best. She really knows how to massage. She can loosen any knot. She can also give really good Thai Massages. Can you say AMAZING!? Well, all I can say is that if you are feeling bad, then go to healing hand Massage and get a Thai massage from Mary! She is the best!

I was one of the first clients of Healing Hands Massage. It is by far the cleanest and most professional massage place I have been, and I have gone to such places in several countries. The staff is excellent, and I have never had a bad massage. No one has ever demanded a tip, but I seem to tip about what other people have done. You get a 60 minute massage for a 60 minute fee - no ripoffs.
I have had several quite distinct muscle problems, and Healing Hands has eased them all. I highly recommend this place, and I don't make personal referrals lightly.

I dont agree with the previous review. I personally had a great experience. I myself, my husband and my eldest son have masages at this establishment regularly. We've been going to Healing Hands for 2 and a half years so far, and the owners have never been rude in anyway what so ever. The other therapist have always been pleasant and friendly. Everytime i go into Healing hands i have backaches, knots and tight muscles, when I leave I feel refreshed and invigorated. My son has slowly been recuperating from one of his football injuries with the help of one of the therapists. Disregard the preview beforehand, it's nonsense and untrue. I suggest you try it for yourself, i personally reffer many of my friends.

Went there for a massage and requested the best therapist they had for an hour and a half Thai session ($80). My appointment was set with Nat (the owner). She relayed the price to me before the session and I agreed, than changed it when my session was over, for an additional $20 (no she did not go over in the session!) and than complained that my $20 tip was insufficient! Her words were, "Honey, I get paid $100 tips all the time" and proceeded to argue over it.

Would I recommend this place? NO. Would I send my worse enemy there? NO. It deserves no business, there are plenty of legitimate massage places in and around the Bellaire/West U area with competitive pricing if not better for an actual sevice.
The only thing this place is excellent at...is attitude, robbing people and lack of technique when it comes to massaging. They do not provide a service to any client and they are RUDE!!!!!
Save your $ and try a well established, well-respected and worthy establishment that isn't trying to take every dollar you have without earning it and providing a service to live up to.

I have never experienced such a lack in people skills. It is nothing less than shocking and they do not deserve a second chance.

Bad business=LOSS OF BUSINESS!
