I have been to Winetastic several times and it is my place in Dallas for Wine!
The owners are great, friendly and really know their stuff.

You can taste wine by the glass, the taste or by the bottle anytime.

Great wine club..which I find to be the best deal in town!
A must try!

I have several issues with this wine bar since they opened, but I have continued to support them because they are in the neighborhood and I'm a wine lover. Very disappointing that they are just not successful on many levels. On the plus side they have some decent wine and good stemware. Unfortunately the management and atmosphere are a huge miss. The management is rude, unprofessional, and are not knowledgeable about their product. Tonight was the last straw when I brought 4 friends in for an after dinner drink about 40 minutes before close. Between the 5 of us we ordered a bottle of wine and 2 beers. We were presented with the check promptly when they closed (10pm), which was fine but it was made clear that they were ready to close up and go home (we were the only customers). Understandable, and we were finishing up our final glass of wine when they made it very clear it was time for us to go. We would have been gone in the next 10-15 minutes anyway. The management/owners are just rude and have no class. The decor is tacky, and the music is inappropriate for a wine bar (if they are playing music, but tonight only the TV was playing). I think part of the attitude is because they know they won't be open much longer. The location is not ideal for a wine bar, but could work if all the other elements were done correctly. I hope another owner gets a hold of this space and transforms it into a successful business.

First I should say that I have not seen the inside of Winetastic. There are only one or two parking spaces in front. On July 23rd, I pulled around to the back of the strip mall in which the store is located and had to squeeze past an Infiniti SUV that was stopped in the very middle of the drive unloading something. I pulled into a space marked for Winetastic. There was another empty space next to my car. As I stepped out of my vehicle and before I could even close my car door a middle aged bleach-blonde woman stomped up to me and said that it was her parking space. I said that it was marked for Winetastic, and asked if it was for customers. She very snottily said that she was the owner. I said, "OK, nice to meet you, can customers not park there?" She rolled her eyes at me and said "Are you going right in?" She had decided that I was trying to illegally park before I had gotten out of my car, and I felt as though I was being scolded. I decided to take my business elsewhere. I drove over to Vino100 on McKinney. Vino100 is less than two miles from Winetastic and no one accosted me in the parking lot. Denise was very helpful and courteous. When I buy wine i do not want to be uncomfortable or confused or insulted. I will never do business with Winetastic.

Pros: None known.

Cons: Poor service, stressful parking situation.

Wow! I have been here a few times and have had such a good time! They must have had an OFF night...I have actually become one of their biggest fans due to the nice people that work there, and it's really relaxing. Try it again!! I use to work in the service industry for a number of years, and know that it is hard to get people to work on Christmas Eve...that may have been why it was so dead too.....who knows...Just know that this is not the norm! Wine'tastic is really nice:)

My friend and I went by Winetastic for a few glasses of wine and an appetizer on a Wednesday night. There was only 1 other person in the place when we walked in. Always a bad sign.
Our waiter had reasonable knowledge of the wine, but they did not have several selections in stock. When we ordered appetizers they came back and said that they were out of half of what was on the sampler plate. When our plate was brought out, the pita bread was cold and dry.
And to top it off our waiter disappeared. We finally asked another girl behind the bar if she could get us another glass of wine. Our waiter reappeared in time to give us our check and to make a rude comment about the 12 hour day he had worked and to take our money.....we will not be back!

I love going here when I have money to spend on wine-by-the-glass (I'm in grad school). The people who work here are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They clearly make an effort to get to know the customer, so that you'll be recognized when you come in again. I also appreciate that you get a generous tasting of wine to help you decide which glass/bottle to order. The hummus is fantastic - huge serving for only five bucks. All in all, one of my favorite places in Dallas.

This place is great! If you want to buy wine by the bottle, you can try most of the wines that they carry before you buy it--they sell over 60 wines by-the-glass!!!!! This is also great because, you can get a "taste" of most of the wines before ordering a full glass--so you'll know you're getting what you like.

The atmoshere inside is great and they have a really nice patio. It's a fun spot for a girls night out or happy hour, and romantic place to take a date.

Pros: No smoking, but they do have a patio to accomate those of us who enjoy our niccotine.

From the minute my co-worker and I walked in, we experienced the friendliest service that Big D has to offer. From the ambiance to the knowledgeable staff, there was not one detail over looked. Weather youre an occasional wine drinker or an aficionado, you are made to feel right at home. They have more wines by the glass then anywhere I had ever seen. A must try and a must use for any party planner! The owner was even there and made sure that out time spent, was well worth while.
