The Exam sucked but you get what you pay for. The prices for glasses was way too much so I took my prescription somewhere else even though I don't think the Doctor did a good job.

I've gone here twice. When I've gotten my eyes checked, the staff was very polite and courteous. I felt that the doctors knew what they were doing and that I wasn't getting ripped off on price. They were also very convenient when it came to ordering contacts.

I have been to this office 2 times this year, one for the examination which was great - no probs with the doc. The administrative staff however was not so helpful and a little scatterbrained. The initial visit I selected a pair of frames that were 'set aside' for me and had disappeared when I came back to place the order. I was very disappointed because we had spent over an hour selecting the right frames - so time wasted there but eventually on the 2nd trip I was able to find frames that I liked. The initial order for contacts was misplaced so I had to wait longer to receive them - apparently, my folder got misplaced. Ok, so moving on to my re-order for contacts. I called in and placed the re-order being told it would only be 2 weeks...I waited, no phone call so decided to go by the office while I was in the area. No contacts - they were not ordered. While I was waiting at the counter (keep in mind this was a busy Saturday and the waiting area was full) two employees were gossiping about the Office Manager. Sad, that they felt that they could/should be talking about a co-worker with customers around..surely they know better. Ok, back to my original reason for the blog..I finally got a call telling me my order was in and was given a really low price for the refills...I was pleased and said I would be by later that afternoon. I knew I had great vision insurance. I got a call back within 5 minutes and was told that I had been quoted the wrong price. The person calling didn't really know how to read my insurance benefits and why the contacts were so costly. Anyhow, a new person was put on the line and explained that I had used all my insurance in the first order earlier in the year. I wasnt told that I had the one-time discount. I asked about matching a better offer on-line and was assured that VC would match after verifying the source...apparently they 'know the lingo" of on-line ads and can interpret them better...we will see!
