Muchsimas gracias a Dr. Sanders.

Lasik at diagnostic eye center was the best choice I have ever made! If you are even considering lasik, call and schedule a free consultation here. My lasik appointment was at 3 yesterday, and was on the way home at 4 with better vision

Terrific experience. I've been wearing glasses since I was 5 years old. Before my Lasik procedure, I had 20/400 vision. At my 1 week follow-up appointment, I was at 20/15! The entire staff at DEC is extremely professional and friendly.

I have had corrective lenses for over 20 years. I had 20/400 vision prior to my Lasik procedure (8.17.12) and at my one week check up was seeing 20/15. I am so impressed with Dr. Sanders and his staff and highly recommend them.

I have been wearing contacts for 15 years. After the quick LASIK surgery, I am now seeing 20/10. I would highly recommend using Dr. Sanders and his. They are all very professional and were able to answer all of my questions. I've never felt so comfortable going into a surgery. Thank you for everything. I am one happy patient.

Diagnostic Eye Center has the distinct honor as being the most professional/delightful medical service office i have ever been to. \r
\r
As you walk into Dr. Sanders' establishment you are immediatley welcomed with smiles and optimistic/posititve attitudes. The staff is all well versed in their positions, Mark did a wonderful job of setting my consultation and following up with me before and after the procedure. Peter did an outstanding job examining my eyes and explaining the entire procedure to me. \r
\r
Dr. Marc Sanders was an absolute professional who has a charisma that makes you feel at comfort with him, which is needed for someone that you trust with your vision. He is a very personable individiual that displays a confident and calming presence. You will not regret employing him for his expertise. \r
\r
As stated above i can not refer this establishment enough their caring attitudes and profesionalism is a very rare combination in today's medical business society. \r

At first I wasn't sure what to think about Diagnostic Eye Center when I first visited their location on Edloe. The building is a bit on the older side and appeared worn down (the elevator didn't look like it would close at first!). But after meeting the staff and Dr. Sanders himself, my fears were eased. They were extremely courteous and comforting throughout the entire process. I didn't feel like they were just doing my surgery to make money... they assured me that they were selective in whom they chose to take to surgery, which was reassuring since I wasn't sure if my cornea was thick enough to handle being cut on. An added bonus: the fact that they prescribed valium for me to take prior to the procedure. That definitely helped with my anxiety!

The actual location of the surgery is in Sugar Land - in a fancy new building with new, modern amenities. During the surgery, my husband read through all the pamphlets and informed me later that they used the newest technology for the surgery (including a laser that keeps track of the movement of your eyes so that if you look around too much, it'll actually stop). The only real ""discomfort"" I had during the procedure was the suction thing they put on the eyeball which was just a lot of pressure (it left some conjunctival hemorrhage which made me look like I was bleeding from my eyes. It eventually went away after 2 weeks though). The rest of the procedure was a blur thanks to the valium!

They recommend sleeping for 4 hours after the procedure but I kept waking up (I'm not used to napping in the middle of the day) and felt my eyes burning... more than I expected. But after 4 hours, the burning went away and my vision was 20/15 the next day at my follow up appointment! I had problems with dry eyes and halos at night during the first week, but by the 2nd week, those symptoms had improved significantly... which was a huge relief since I had problems with dry eyes even before the surgery.

All in all, I highly recommend Diagnostic Eye Center!!!

Dr. Sanders and his entire staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. They made me feel very comfortable and explained everything thoroughly, from the initial analysis of my eyes to the step by step process of the procedure. The next day I woke up seeing 20/20. I highly recommend Dr. Sanders and his staff for anyone considering lasik!

Dr. Sanders and his staff were so professional and friendly and made the process very easy. I highly recommend this to anyone who wears glasses/contacts and has thought about getting lasik! There's virtually no pain and I was amazed with perfect sight the very day of the surgery. I just had it yesterday and I already have between 20/15 and 20/10 vision! You will not regret going to Diagnostic Eye Center for your lasik!

Went to 2 different places for the consultaion, one of them being Diagnostic Eye Center. They were by far the best in price and customer service. The other was almost twice as much and less informative. Procedure was fast and smooth. Didn't have any complications the day of or after. I would highly recomment this to anyone looking into doing lasik.

My experience with the staff at Diagnostic Eye Center and Dr. Sanders and Welton was top notch. I'm an Internal Medicine resident myself and I contacted my ophthalmology friends who all spoke highly of Dr. Sanders. The entire process was streamlined without any bumps in the road. The procedure itself was quick, very little pain, and no complications thus far (1 week in and my vision is great). I highly recommend this center to everyone and especially to other medical professionals.

I had LASIK here last week, now my vision is better then 20/20, it's actually 20/10 one week post-op.
I healed right away, no dry eyes (biggest concern), no night time vision issues. They use a blade free procedure to create the flap, you will feel no pain.
They talk you through the procedure, they tell you what happens when, they even count down the seconds for the procedure, so you know exactly what's going on and when. It helped me, because I was concerned I might involuntarily move my eyes or try to blink, even thought the laser has a tracking feature and will follow your eye, and shut off if you move too much.
Boy, was I anxious about getting my eyes under a laser, but the staff and doctor Sanders put you at ease, give you a small prescription for Vicodin, ( not that that helped my nerves much :)) but I swear, you will feel no pain, and when you wake up from your recommended nap, you will think that a miracle happened.
Everybody there rocks! All the fantastic reviews you will read about this place are true, I was concerned they were writing their own praises, but my expectations have been exceeded.
I am so glad I have chosen Diagnostic Eye Center. They are the best, from the amazing Dr. Sanders, to the nicest staff. This is the place to go if you care about your eyes, they have earned a customer/patient for life!
Thank you, Doctor Sanders and staff!

I was definitely on the upper tier of patient anxiety about getting Lasik done and I don't think anyone on Dr. Sander's staff would argue that. I don't like anyone even going near my eyes and would not have considered Lasik had I not developed GPC- a condition where your eyes become allergic to contacts. I'm 25 and could not even see that there was a letter on the screenwhen Dr. Sanders put up the big E in the exam room. I didn't want to be stuck in super thick glasses forever, so after gearing myself up and calling Marcus about 5 times to ask him question after question and him patiently answering I booked my appointment. \r
\r
I was pretty much having a panic attack the day of the procedure, but Dr. Sanders and his staff were very understanding and patient with me. I woke up the next day to 20/15 vision. Now I wish I would have done it sooner! If you are nervous about Lasik, do yourself a favor and meet with Dr. Sanders and his staff. They are great at calming your nerves and making you feel as comfortable as possible through it all.

I have been wearing glasses and contacts for almost 15 years and I'm so glad I chose the Diagnostic Eye Center for my LASIK surgery. Dr. Sanders and his staff make sure you are comfortable and informed. The actual LASIK procedure is very quick. Dr. Sanders does amazing job and puts you at ease. I could not be happier with the results! Check them out--you will be glad you did.

I am nineteen years old and I was wearing contacts/glasses for 13 years! My vision was looking at -9 and the doctors estimated at best that I was only going to be able to see 20/25. It's been two months and I'm seeing at 20/15 already! This was something that I couldn't even fathom before! Being able to be under the care of Dr. Sanders and his assistant Mark is the best thing I have ever done. He is an amazing doctor and the entire process of the LASIK is one of the easiest decisions I have ever made in my entire life.

If you are doubting it; don't. This will and is going to be the best decision you have ever made. Being able to see clearly is priceless.

Normally, if a service asked me to write a review, I might be a bit hesitant. Not in this case. Happy to let everyone know. Getting LASIK done w/ Dr. Sanders was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I was completely comfortable and relaxed and was at 20/15 within 24 hours.

Dr. Sanders was very pleasant as was the rest of the staff. I also want to give my regards to Marc for all the work he did! They make a great team.

One of the things that struck me was all of the
pre-screening they did to make sure that I was a good candidate. They were very thorough and I never felt rushed or pressured.

All I can say is I waited too long to do this. I am so glad that I picked Dr. Sanders at the Diagnostic Eye Center. He had such a friendly personality and so ready to answer any concerns that I had. The staff was so accommodating and professional. I do not have one complaint. I wasn't the least bit nervous, they took care of everything. During the very short procedure they would actually tell you how long it would last by counting down. But the best part of it all was when I woke up the next day I had 20/15 and it was awesome!!!! I would definitely recommend Dr. Sanders and his staff to anyone who is thinking of having this procedure done. Don't wait another day!

My sister had Lasik done by Diagnostic Eye Center and had a great experience, so when I decided to get Lasik done as well, I chose Diagnostic Eye Center. When doing consultations with most other places, you don't actually get to meet the doctor that will be doing the procedure. At Diagnostic, I met Dr. Sanders on my first consultation and all my questions were answered. During the procedure, he walked me through every step and made it as comfortable as possible. They even put a blanket on you in the procedure room since it's freezing in there (to keep the laser at a certain temperature). All the follow-up visits are free, and my vision was 20/15 the day after I got the Lasik done. The staff is also very polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend Dr. Sanders!

I had been thinking of LASIK for years now. A couple friends recently had their LASIK procedure done and were very excited about the results.

This encouraged me to start a search for the best place for LASIK in Houston. After 3 consultations with different doctors I decided on the Diagnostic Eye Center.

What I learned was that although there are cheaper options you don't necessarily want the cheapest doctor operating on your eyes; so this ruled out those $395 an eye places. Prices between Berkeley, Mann Eye, and Diagnostic Eye Center(DEC) were very similar but what set D.E.C apart was the personal service and care that the entire staff demonstrated.

From the initial consultation Marcus took care of all my questions and made sure that I understood the procedure. They always follow up before and after appointments. The technology they use is top notch and Dr Sanders ensures you are well informed of what's taking place as it happens in the operating room..

Overall great service and great results! On my second day I am already 20/10! I feel comfortable recommending them to all my friends. My wife will be having her procedure there soon.

I did a lot of internet research on Lasik and what it's all about. After wearing contacts since I was 14 and having a prescription of -4.75 (which amounts to not seeing how many finger I was holding up), I'd been dreaming about the procedure for years. I stumbled into Diagnostic Eye Center as it's walking distance from Greenway Plaza. I needed contacts and saw the optometrist there (who was really thorough and took time with me to listen). He mentioned I would be a good candidate for Lasik. I expressed interest. Dr. Sanders was in the office and came in the room to talk to me about it on the spot. One of the staffers gave me all the info. I went home and did some research, put extra money in my FSA, got through the holidays and came back to get tested.\r
\r
I had the surgery in February. It was so smooth. Dr. Sanders practically held my hand through the whole process. Other than the odd smell of my burning eye flesh, the surgery was super easy. I followed instructions and had no problems. The next day, I saw 20/15, which was what I saw with contacts. I came back a week later and read the smallest line on the chart - 20/10.\r
\r
Now, I see 20/10. That's right. I'm an eagle! I can see road signs and things in the distance that amaze my husband and friends. I have had very little dryness. My new hobbies include swimming with my head underwater, running my face under the shower, rubbing my eyes when I'm tired, actually seeing my eye doctor's face and spotting traffic signs and cops from miles away.\r
\r
Dr. Sanders is a rockstar. I don't know him well, but I trusted that he cares about his reputation enough to never damage my eyes. He gets that his practice can't afford to have even one surgery turn out poorly. So he doesn't do Lasik on people he knows could have problems or write a single bad word about him online.\r
\r
If you've been thinking about Lasik for years, like everyone else who fights with glasses and contacts, what are you waiting for? The procedure is safe, easy, nearly painless and totally worth it. If you're ready to put down the corrective crap once and for all, call Diagnostic.

I went to Diagnostic Eye Center to see Dr. Sanders after being referred by another Lasik center. The first place I went to was one of those ""Lasik starting at $495 per eye"" type of placesand after getting the full workup and exam I was told I was not a candidate for Lasik. The Optometrist there recommended I go see Dr. Sanders for an implantble contact lens. I have been wearing glasses/contacts for about 30 years and have really been looking forward to this procedure and to be told that I was not a candidate just broke my heart. Upon meeting Dr. Sanders and undergoing the same testing I was told that I was ABSOLUTLEY a candidate for Lasik and that he could get me a full correction from -10.50 diopters. I have since completed the procedure and let me say that the results are better than what I expected. I can see better than I did with my contacts. The procedure went off without a single difficulty. The Dr. and his staff are extremely professional and polite and seem willing to go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable before and during the procedure. Marcus, Dr. Sanders' assistant, performed part of the inital evaluation and assisted during the Lasik procedure. He is also very professional and polite. The Dr. actually gives you his cell phone number in case you have any questions or problems. Working in healthcare myself as an RN I can tell you that NO doctor I have ever worked with has done that for patients. I highly recommend Dr. Sanders and Diagnostic Eye Center for your Lasik procedure. Also, I should mention that he is an Opthamologist who can do other procedures besides Lasik if you truly are not a candidate for it.

Had a terrific experience at the Diagnostic Eye Center! I had my lasik eye correction done by Dr. Sanders and couldn't be happier. The experience was more comfortable than a dentist visit and the down time is almost nothing (which was great as a wife and mother of four!!!). The staff is incredibly helpful and kind....their lasik consultant Marcus lines out the whole process quickly and efficiently and Dr. Sanders manages to make the procedure very comfortable. But the best part of all is seeing without contacts or glasses just minutes after they finish! By the next morning, its hard to remember why you ever wore contacts or glasses!

I just had my 6 month follow up at Diagnostic Eye. I underwent laser vision correction (not lasik, but rather advanced surface ablation (ASA) - see their website). I was not a good candidate for lasik due to thin cornea but Dr. Sanders suggested ASA as an alternative. Dr. Sanders and his staff were wonderful. They are 100% professional and courteous, and the appointments were made and held in a timely fashion. I am now seeing 20/20 and would recommend Diagnostic Eye to anyone.

The staff at Diagnostic Eye Center is very friendly and professional, Marcus explains the lasik procedure and is always available for followup questions. Dr. Sanders has excellent manner and takes time to really listen to questions and give detailed answers. The office is very easy to get to and the parking is free. The lasik center is a little far but very easy to get to. The lasik staff made me feel relaxed and the procedure itself was fast and boring, but thats exactly what I wanted in an outpatient surgery. This is a great staff, great Dr, and great surgery and I am very happy with the outcome.

We would like to recognize skilled and friendly service of Dr Mark Sanders, who did conduct Lasik surgery for my children( with lots of astigmatism in both eyes) 24 and 21 years age in December 2010. Both the children have got better than perfect vision just after surgery. No complication arose . Dr Mark kept us educated about the procedure and what to expect , etc.

We as parents and my children as patients want to recognize Dr. Sanders for his expert, friendly service (always a smiling face). Service to the patient is first as exemplified by his commitment to see patient even on a Saturday to suit the need of patient. He recognized the worries of parents before surgery and made us feel very comfortable. The entire surgery was done in a very confident manner explaining the steps involved and the entire process was visible to all of us.

We recommend that Dr sanders be considered for 2010/2011 best eye doctor of Houston as his continued dedicated flawless service brings joy to so many patients as eye is one of the very important organs of the body.

We as residents of Houston are proud to have Dr. Sanders in our community.

I have 20+ healthcare experience. Dr. Sanders AND his team (front office and technologists) are truly dedicated to achieving excellence in patient care. That dedication is apparent the moment you walk-in their office. The front desk staff greet you with a smile and use a simple sign-in process and indicate you will see the doctor shortly. Key point is that the focus is on me as a patient. The staff ensure you are seen by your appointment time, if not earlier. I observed a patient who arrived late for his appointment. He was greeted with, ""we will get you seen quickly as possible"", and not admonished by staff for being late - again an indicator of their patient centric approach.

Dr. Sanders utilizes the latest technology in his practice. Being nervous about committing to LASIK, the use of high quality, well maintained diagnostic equipment was re-assuring. Prior to the actual LASIK procedure my eyes were examined a minimum of 6 times to ensure accuracy with the laser.

True to Dr. Sanders' word, the procedure was efficient and effective. He is highly skilled, intelligent, and just a general nice man. This is refreshing and sets him apart from other ophthalmologists. Note I work with world-class, highly renowned physicians at the top hospital in the world. Many of our physicians and staff have had LASIK by Dr. Sanders a true testament to his skills, abilities, intelligence, and being a doctors doctor.

if you wish to be unchained from your glasses, go to Dr. Sanders for LASIK. He and his team are the best of best.

Three weeks ago, I was told by another Laser Surgery center that I would not be a candidate for vision correction. Luckily, they referred me to Dr Sanders and his fantastic crew at Diagnostic Eye Center. Before I could make the call to them, they called me and now, its been one week post-op! Being that my eyes were SO bad (as in legally blind since about age 8), I was not a candidate for the LASIK procedure but was for Advanced Resurfacing. The day of the procedure was exciting and went wonderfully....I got to look into my babies eye's for the very first time with MY OWN EYES! Two days after the surgery, I had a minor blip in recovery and Dr SAnders met me in his office on a SUNDAY to examine and make sure all was well. (it was!) I am beyond thrilled to report that after only 7 days, I am now seeing 20/20 after 25 years in glasses/contacts!!! As a nursing student, mother, avid reader and outdoor enthusiast, this gift is amazing and Dr Sanders has been blessed with an incredible gift of being able to do what he does for people. Please, please go see this WONDERFUL team and see how they can help you!!

When 5 pairs of glasses will not do the trick I had to be honest with myself: with the naked eye I was only able to see clearly 4 inches in front of my nose and the rest had been a blur since birth. I hate the frame glasses and was able to change them for contacts in my late twenties and they were a blessing, but anytime they could be discontinued and I refused to ever go back to frame glasses. A friend talked me into Lasik. I did my online research, and what I read about the machine used in this clinic was a positive check. No blade but light to restore the sight. I went very nervous to my appointment because I usually feel very uncomfortable with the front desk personnel in doctors offices in the USA. This was not the exception, but I forced myself to calm down and wait and then Dr. Sander's assistant called my name and everything changed. If something is paramount in an eye doctor is bedside manner and Dr. Sanders and all his ophthalmological staff do have it; all questions I had were answered, the knowledge that he will not recommend a Lasik if there is not a good chance of walking out of the operation much better and the financing plans convinced me. I returned home with an appointment for the operation. Living for 10 days without my contacts, relying on frame glasses was a small nuisance soon forgotten. The operation was a life changing experience. Being a Christian I experienced the modern version of those marvelous eye healings of the Scripture, Dr. Sanders and his staff lending their hands and knowledge to God to restore a sight I never had. I wasted 20 good seconds of fear steadying myself to immobility while the cut was being done, but next day I learned that the machine is so marvelous that if it senses the slightest movement, the laser stops and absolutely no harm is done. The painless procedure takes seconds, being the only minor discomfort the opening of the eyelids, but all is so quick it is not a big deal. I have to admit I was in awe at what was happening to me and after the flap was removed I enjoyed the lights polishing my corneas into shape as if it were jewels carved into domes. It was quite an emotional moment when Dr. Sanders helped me up from the chair and I saw a face perfectly clear for first time in my life without the help of glasses. The friend who drove me and my husband had witnessed the operation and they saw me read the chart all the way down. I have been reading without glasses, driving around night and day, marveled at being able to see with my eyes for first time in my life. As a very shortsighted person my retinas have still to be watched and the yearly visit to the doctor is a must, but I was practically blind -without eye crutches- and now I can see. Very happy to donate all my unused contacts and three frame glasses at the recycling bowl at Dr. Sanders office -kept a reader for emergencies with super small print and my sunglasses- My vision is much better than the one I had with contacts and Im still expecting some improvement. I did not use the Restasis due to the cost, but relied on the artificial tears and keeping myself hydrated and so far I might get a dry eye after two hours watching a computer screen or when waking up, but nothing a couple of drops will not solve.

As a physician myself, I spend much of my professional life working with physicians in every field.\r
In my experiences, Dr Sanders ranks at the very top of the list when it comes to level of professionalism, knowledge, patient care, expertise in his specialty, and most of all, bedside manner.\r
If you are exploring the prospect of lasik surgery, your search for whom should perform the surgery simply begins and ends with Dr. Sanders. You will not be disappointed.\r
Similar praise should be given to his staff. They are courteous, professional, friendly and most importantly thourough.

Simply amazing are the words that come to mind....I was able to see very clearly the night of my surgery. Exceptional performance from Dr. Sanders and his team at Diagnostic Eye Center. \r
\r
My father watched the whole surgery and was impressed at how well Dr. Sanders and his team functioned as a unit in the operating room. The procedure was very quick, and painless. Dr. Sanders talked me through the entire process which was very comforting. \r
\r
I've been a patient of Dr. Sanders and the team at Diagnostic Eye Center for several years now. They are very competent and friendly. Dr. Sanders is also very conservative and cautious; he understands how important one's eyes are to an individual. Honestly, I was on the fence for a couple years about having lasik. I spoke to Dr. Sanders about lasik on more than one occasion but at the end of the day what essentially made my decision for me was that I was very confident in Dr. Sanders. \r

I had Lasik a week ago and the results have been excellent. I'm 32 and my wife and I are expecting our first child. Whenever I had held a baby in the past, the first thing they always did was reach up and try to grab my glasses. I had tried contacts but lately they were not working well since I have to look at a computer much of the day at work, and they would dry out my eyes. So Lasik sounded like it might be a good option. I was at Diagnostic Eye Center in December for my annual eye exam, and I asked Dr. Welton about Lasik, as we had talked about it briefly a year or two before. He connected me with Dr. Sanders, who gave me an overview about Lasik and reviewed my information and noted I was a good candidate for Lasik, and the next week I decided to go with the procedure. During the pre-testing, surgery, and post-op visits, both Dr. Sanders and his staff were great. Based on Dr. Sanders' reputation, credentials, and experience, as well as my interactions with him, I felt like I was in very good hands. The procedure went great. I had some discomfort during the afternoon and evening after the procedure but I was able to sleep during most of that time. By the next day, I was back to life as normal and seeing better than 20/20!

Well, I am super anxious to begin with and everyone went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and to reassure me. Now, there are parts of this procedure that were not too comfortable. I have deep set eyes and apparently that makes it a little more uncomfortable but, seriously, it lasts SECONDS. A few seconds of relative minor discomfort gives me PERFECT eyesight! I went home and took a long nap and several hours later I opened my eyes and could see. I could read the street sign from across the cull du sac and across the street. I would do it again in a heartbeat even with my anxiety issues. I despise having things near my eyes and usually I do not even like to wear eye makeup because I dislike getting near my eyes but this was worth it. The staff is wonderful and accommodating and Dr. Sanders is both professional and friendly. I checked out a different well known lasik center before deciding on the Diagnostic Eye Center and I do not regret it.

The Diagnostic Eye Center on Edloe at Greanway Plaza is the place to have your lasiks done.\r
I had a very good experience with the staff and Dr. Marc Sanders.\r
I did wear hard contact lenses for 32 years so I had to be out of them for 4 weeks so that my cornea would go back to its normal shape. I used restasis to help my ""dry eye syndrome"" that Dr. Sanders said I would experience after the surgery. It was worth it because I have not experienced the dry eye syndrome whereas a friend that went through the same procedure is have a bit of a problem which should get better. He only used restasis for 4 days as he never wore contact lenses and did not use restasis as long as I did. \r
I am now at 20/10 and awaiting my post op appointment for a further evaluation..\r
If you are considering lasiks this is the place to. Dr. Sanders is the best as far as I am concerned. \r
Thanks Dr. Sanders and professional staff.

I recently had LASIK surgery in August and I am very satisfied with everything, beginning from the first phone call I made to schedule my appointment to my follow up visits after the surgery. After meeting with Javier and Dr. Sanders, and with both of them answering all of my questions, I really felt at ease and comfortable with this surgery. Now its been a month since my LASIK surgery and I am SO happy that I had it done here. Procedure went smooth and everything resulted as how Dr. Sanders said it would. My vision is now 20/15. I love the feeling of waking up in the morning and being able to see my alarm clock see whats going around me. Definitely, I would recommend Diagnostic Eye Center to anyone considering LASIK no doubt about that. Thank you Dr. Sanders and everyone in your office.

As a patient, you would expect the best. A knowledgeable staff, state of the art equipment, one on one care, doctors who care about your well being and I could go on and on but ideally as a patient, you would want the best care possible.

I have been blessed with a phenomenal group of physicians and administrative staff that have helped from a simple hello once I walked into the office to a warm good bye at the end of every visit. Their attention to detail is very well versed. Knowledgeable about his practice, Dr Sanders, is the best LASIK practicing physician I have ever experienced in the Houston area.

After a little of research about LASIK, I decided to FINALLY get LASIK and it has been life changing. His consulting staff not like others, did not force the issue nor did they try to sell me on the procedure. Informative and very helpful throughout my consult, they offered intuitive and insightful information about LASIK and walked me through my options. As far as the procedure goes, I would consider it similar to a comically dream. Day in and day out, with wearing glasses and contacts, you go to sleep every night and wake up not being able to see the fine lines. Not only is it a blur, your whole perception of normal vision is a blur. Then a simple procedure that takes less time than brewing a cup of coffee, changes your life. Seeing is believing! Image the lens of your camera being out of focus for 24 years and all of a sudden you find out that you can adjust the clarity and focus to a defined image. Who would of thought?!

Now, after 6 years, I am still seeing 20/15. Nothing has changed with the office I once visited for my initial consult. The same warm and helpful group of administrative staff, Thanks Javier, Monica, Christina (sp,.), Romy, Georgia, Marcus and Beth. I would like to Thank Dr Sanders and Dr Welton for a wonderful job in my overall health in vision. Keep on the good work guys!

John Hoang

Pros: Lovable staff, GREAT doctors, EXTREMELY helpful

After 4 years of researching and following the technology, trends, costs, and recommendations of the laser eye surgery world, I finally got to a place where I was comfortable with the price and technology. Now all I needed was a surgeon!\r
\r
Of all the research I did, I would only ever recommend Dr. Sanders or Dr. Mann if you are in Houston. They are both fantastic surgeons, both have impressive credentials, and both only ever use the newest, safest, and most reliable equipment available (in fact, they often use the same lab). The only reason I chose to go with Dr. Sanders in the end is that I know he has turned away more patients than Dr. Mann, and I wanted a doctor who was cautious!\r
\r
I'm happy to say that it has now been 6 months since my laser eye correction surgery, and it has changed my life! My vision was 20/15 the morning after the surgery, it is 20/15 today, and Dr. Sanders says it will likely be 20/15 for the rest of my life! If you are tired of wearing glasses or contacts, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting your eyesight corrected by Dr. Sanders.

Cons: Best spent wad from my wallet EVER, but a chunk nonetheless

I started wearing glasses in the fifth grade. My vision gradually began to worsen with the years. I eventually came to to point where I could not get out of bed without first putting on my glasses. I also wore contacts but due to my astigmatism the contacts became blurry and difficult to see throughout the day. I had my eye surgery and the next day I had 20/20 vision! For those of you who wear glasses and contacts this will be the best thing you could ever do for yourself. I can see perfectly!!!! I highly recommended lasik eye surgery. The procedure was painless. If your going to trust your eyes to someone it has to be to Dr. Sanders. Dr. Sanders is very friendly, and has great bedside manner. I did my research and Dr. Sanders is highly educated. He also is a part-time professor at Baylor College of Medicine where he teaches surgeons in training. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Sanders and so will you. He has the best staff and a wonderful assistant, Javior. The atmosphere in the office is pleasant. Excellent customer/patient service.

I have had to wear glasses since elementary school and had extremely poor vision when I went to my first appointment at the Diagnostic Eye Center. I was not even able to see the big ""E"" at the top of the eye chart. Dr. Sanders discovered and treated my severe corneal abrasions. When he made certain that I was ready for surgery several months later, he performed corneal ablation instead of Lasik since my cornea was too thin. I felt that Dr. Sanders and his staff were incredibly compassionate and helpful which made me feel at ease. The clinic was run with efficiency and professionalism, and there was no doubt that I was receiving quality health care. I am very grateful to Dr. Sanders for giving me back my vision. I highly recommend Dr. Sanders at the Diagnostic Eye Center, regardless of the severity of your eye problems. It is an exceptional eye center!

If you have been thinking of getting LASIK this is the place to go. I had my done on 1/20/10. I had alot of astigmatism in both eyes so I was a little hesistant. But Dr. Marc Sanders but me at ease by saying if anything looked a little quesionable on my more in depth testing he wouldn't do it unless he knew he could give me great results. So I was glad that his first priority was my vision. My vision before was 20/400 and 20/20 the day after the surgery. Javier his assistant is very friendly and caring from the first moment you visit them.

I picked the place due to all of the great reviews and it was one of the best decisions I ever made.
Dr. Sanders was excellent and explained every step of the way. He always made me feel comfortable and believe me I was a little nervous. His assistant Javier is the best ever!!! Very friendly and professional.
I now have 20/15

This place is A++ from top to bottom.
Keep up the great work and thanks for my visual freedom!

At 59, the Lasik monovision correction which had been done 10 years ago by another doctor were fading. My distant-vision eye had deteriorated just a slight bit, but my near-vision eye was now pretty much useless and I had to wear reading glasses again. From what I had read, I was convinced that I would have to go with lens implants. Dr. Sanders explained that there was a very real possiblity I could have the Lasik procedure repeated with the new lasers and get my desired results for much less cost. Sure enough, my corneas were thick enough, the lasik was done and I am back in good shape now. Thanks to the staff at Diagnostic Eye Center.

I don't write online reviews but after Dr. Sanders and his staff performed Lasik on me, I felt like I had to write this. Dr. Sanders and his staff do an amazing job. If you're considering Lasik, you should visit the Diagnostic Eye Center. Before the surgery, Dr. Sanders and his staff took ample time to explain the procedure. During the surgery, his reassuring presence and skilled hands made the experience quick and painless. After wearing glasses/contacts for 14 years, my vision is now 20/15 in both eyes. There was virtually no down time and no side effects. My only regret is that I didn't visit Dr. Sanders and have Lasik sooner.\r
\r
I have told all that will listen about this life changing procedure and Dr. Sanders. My father-in-law listened and had the surgery last Friday. Saturday afternoon (about 30 hours after the surgery) we watched the Texans live from Section 614 and he was amazed that he could see the action clearly after wearing glasses for so long. My brother is next and he can't wait for the surgery. \r
\r
If you would like to get rid of the glasses/contacts, come visit with Dr. Sanders and you'll be glad you did. \r

Thank you, Dr. Sanders, and your team at Diagnostic Eye Center for your great work. You took good care of me, shepherded me through the process, and made me feel totally comfortable and safe with this process.

As a hair stylist, my eyes are critical for my work. I hated having to put on and take off my glasses throughout the day in order to read, examine my clients up close, etc. Now, I roll out of bed and I am ready to go. Perfect!

I totally trust the team at Diagnostic Eye Center.

I have been going to Diagnostic Eye Center for 9 years and have received excellent eye care through the years. So when I decided to have Lasik surgery I wouldn't consider anyone else other than Dr Sanders and his wonderful staff! They are not only professionally qualified but very caring and compassionate in every area of eye care.

I've worn glasses/contacts as long as i can remember. Last month I got Lasik and I have NO regrets. If you are at all interested in getting lasik done, come check these guys out. They have a FREE consultation to see if you are eligible and then they will talk to about the process if you are interested. I was able to get mine done within a week of having the consultation. The procedure is painless, quick, and you'll be seeing as if you were wearing glasses within the day. I recommend it to anyone and everyone who is tired of worrying about their glasses and/or contacts.

I have been a contact lens and glasses user for over 14 years, but on Sat I woke up with 20/20 vision! It's truly amazing to wake up and not look for your glasses in order to see the time on the alarm clock. Dr. Sanders was very kind and reassuring through the entire process. It was a fairly quick process and the used the latest technology available. I didn't feel pain only slight pressure on each eye for a few seconds and that was the hardest part! I didn't feel pain after nor the next day and I was able to resume my daily lifestyle the very next day. I was very nervous about the surgery but during the free consultation, Dr. Sanders reassured me of my results and walked me through the process. I highly recommend the surgery for anyone who is tired of wearing contacts and glasses and if you're looking for the best in the field visit Dr. Sanders.

I've never written an online review before, but I am absolutely compelled to encourage anyone even considering Lasik to go see the wonderful staff at Diagnostic Eye Center. Every person there contributed to the quality of my experience, but my major praise is reserved for Dr Saunders himself, who did such an amazing job. I never dreamed I would feel this different after the procedure. There is almost zero down time and everything went so smoothly (and i can be a bit of a nervous wreck about these things). The procedure itself was a breeze and there were no side effects. No halos, no starring, nothing that I'd read about.\r
\r
Seriously, I am telling my friends all over the country--if you want to loose the glasses/contacts, it is worth it to come to Houston to see Dr Saunders.\r
\r
Also, if Lasik is something you've been on the fence about or aren't really sure about, trust me when I say it has absolutely made me feel younger, healthier, and all around better.\r

I just wast to say that this is truely an amazing technology. Dr Saunders is such a great Dr and very personable. His staff including Javier communicated with me the whole time through out the procedure. My vision prior to the surgery was 20/400+ , I was basically blind. Later that afternoon I could see perfectly and now today (the day after). My eyes feel normal and I went in today and I can see 20/20 and some of the letters on the 20/15 line. A true miracle. Thank you all so much. I would look no further is you are wanting the best eye surgeon in the United States!!! Once again THANK YOU!
